This is what YOU are saying ...
Rafe remains the hottest guy in Salem, though
both EJ and Dan have gained points.
Stefano remains fav villain. EJ (number 2) has gained
ground as a fav villain, as has Nicole.
Meanwhile, the writers are perceived as less villainous!

SOAPALICIOUS HAIR TEARING TRIVIA!

Deidre Fired Hall's main source of income of 2008 was reportedly from "Days of Our Lives" and she's a single mom!

Tony will not even get a freakin funeral this time around!

Since
Hogan Sheffer (the head writer who had John's kidney stolen and killed him off and put Steve in the psych ward)
has joined the Young and the Restless, a pregnant character has died in a car accident, a guy drowned, someone lost her memory, and a dude has started to go blind ...!

The recession is here, stocks are falling, layoffs abound, and yet another
pricey soap cruise is already planed for 2010!

DaysCafe in 2003 !
The next logical step is to make Abe the
Mayor of Salem ...

SOAPALICIOUS INSIGHT!
Wanna know what he really thinks?
James Scott (EJ) is of the opinion that EJ's relationship
with Nicole is just as serious as what he had with Sami ...

SOAPALICIOUS FACTOIDFEST!
Nick now celebrates Melanie's birthday. The day his
character first met Melanie on screen was Monday,
August 25, just one day after Blake Berris' (Nick's) real birthday and yes, Mel was after his earning potential back
then too ...!

Molly Burnett (Melanie) was really born on April 23. She
shares a birthday with French actress Simone Simon, who
grew up in Marseilles and had the most success in the old
horror/film noir "Cat People," playing a fashion designer
who morphed into a murderous panther when jealous ...

SOAPALICIOUS QUOTES!

"The murderer ... will be a big surprise."
Ken Corday, Days executive producer

"Shawn is important in Bo's life."
Peter Reckell (Bo Brady)

SOAPALICIOUS SUSPENSE!
Re: the upcoming murder which occurs in Salem.
According to Alfred Hitchcock, master of suspense,
"There is no terror in a bang, only in the anticipation of it."

SOAPALICIOUS SCENT!
"I like Channel No. 5 on women ..."
Thaao Penghlis (Count Tony DiMera)

SOAPALICIOUS FORUMS GONE WILD?
"
The Internet can be harsh ..."
Peter Reckell (Bo Brady)

SOAPALICIOUS "Never-Dies!"
In light of Vic's sudden health demise, here is a list
of Salem "Never Dies,"  main characters who have
"died," but did not remain dead ...

Core Cast "Never Dies"

Victor , Caroline , Lexie , Hope, John , Marlena , Roman ,
Jack, Doug, Maggie, Alice, Tony/Andre , Stefano
Rolf, who had this to say about his death:
"It didn't take ..."

The writers are suffering from selective memory loss by
having Sami righteously accuse Chloe of getting Brady
hooked on drugs cos a few years back, Sami dressed up as
a guy (Stan), and got John hooked on drugs on purpose!

Now that Obama is the undisputed man of the hour, is
Kenny Corday gonna finally accept our request of several
years and let Abe become Salem's top politician (mayor)? Reality is surpassing our soap!
Update: It is now a go. Abe is our mayor!

Gotta give credit where credit is due. James Scott (EJ)
is one heck of a versatile actor. One minute a funny Hugh Grant-ish charming drunken Brit, the next a sneaky, sophisticated lawyer. Well done!

Stefano left Days in 2001. He came back 6 years later, on
the 6th day of the 6th month (June 6, 2007). 666. Now that there is THE Days villain, it cannot be any more clear!
You cannot fight fate, he is the real thing -
We need him back at the mansion with John.

Alison Sweeney on Bryan Dattilo (Lucas)'s return.
"It's so great having him back."

Gee, who woulda thunk? Rolf and Sami as allies are
fun in an odd couple kinda way. But notice that he does mention one day collecting a favor ..
.

Now that he has had at least this mini-memory episode,
it is time for John to take some memory tests, though there
is one thing we hope he will never remember - the writing of Hogan Sheffer, yuk yuk yuk!

Stephen Nichols on his character's best qualities ...

"Patch is an honorable guy. He always does what he
says he's going to do. He's compassionate and he
loves children ... he tries to protect the little ones."

Jay Kenneth Johnson on his character, Phillip Kiriakis
.
"I like that he doesn't take any crap, but you can't do that all the time, because you won't have too many friends ..."

"I think Nicole is coming back just in time to remind
Sami of who she really is ... "

   Alison Sweeney (Sami
)

In the real world, fab head writer Dena Higley - our very
own Angelina! -  has an adopted child from Vietnam and
an adopted child from Ethiopia. Now, what a beautiful (and
timely) storyline international adoption would make on
Days!  Hmmm ...

Catfights are sooooo 1980s. Next!

The Writer's Guild of America (East) has reportedly filed
an arbitration case against Corday Productions for allegedly hiring replacement writers during the strike and not dumping them after the strike. Whatever. We happen to looooove the current writers, however the heck they happened.

DiMera and Kiriakis mansions are just what we need
to see, with high glamour and even higher drama. John
should have heeded Rolf's warning about his business, while the Greek tycoon should have heeded Kate's warning about
his family. Trouble looms for both powerful dynasties. And what a grand entrance afforded to Nicole.  The b*tch is back!

"If I don't pay attention to the ratings and what the
viewers are saying, I'm an ostrich ... You fix it by putting people on that they want to see."

Days exec producer Ken Corday

P.S. Just a friendly reminder that storyline requests or
complaints ought to be sent directly to Days producers at
daysofourlives@nbc.com
The lights are on and someone's home!

Regarding supercouples, here’s a supercouple from the
dark side just waiting to happen.
Ava and Larry Welch.
And they both love to stalk Hope! Yes, we know he’s dead,
but soap death is a mere technicality. Perhaps, as in Rolf’s case, it “didn’t take.” Now if you are a fan of the 1980s
prime time soap  DYNASTY, you will also be interested to know that in season 2 of DYNASTY  a dark-haired Larry Welch once played anItalian hotel employee who seductively kissed the hand of Alexis (Joan Collins). Then he met up with the Salem crowd and it was all downhill ...
