The Jokester

- The show jokester felt like doing the unexpected. Today even more than ever. The fans thought he was great and laughed and cheered anytime they saw him. They fueled him on. Never mind his character
had been backburnered to make room for newer actors. This was his crowd and he was going to entertain them.
- Dakota could only watch stunned when he grabbed the mike from her. The audience laughed. Dakota forced a smile and reminded herself she looked fab and her diamond ring had already been photographed from just about every angle, so what did she care if the backburnered actor wanted to have his moment in the spotlight? His days were numbered anyway.
- The jokester tapped the mike, then exclaimed "Are you having a good time?" The crowd yelled back they were and cheered. A girl in a tank
top screamed she wanted a kiss. The jokester raised an eyebrow and
then walked closer to the cameraman who was filming the event, which was being transmitted live onto the large screen above. "Can you get a close-up with that thing?"
- The cameraman kept filming but said nothing, just like his contract stated he was supposed to. The jokester unbuttoned his shirt. Dakota stepped back and pretended to fan herself. She was in character as a
soap star and would need to appear to be a good sport, a team player. Everything no one in the soap industry really was.
- The jokester stuck his head close to the camera so it filled up the large screen overhead. He opened his mouth, stuck out his tongue, and then wiggled it suggestively left and right. The largely female crowd screamed and applauded. It was a hysterically funny moment and that was all he needed to fuel him on. All of a sudden, being ignored and unappreciated by the powers that be did not exist. This moment was his. He rolled his tongue around in his mouth,  pulled it back, and shot it forward again,
as if French kissing the air. He was really French kissing the fans and they knew it.They cheered and took pictures. He shut his eyes in rapture as the cameras flashed. When he finally opened them, he grinned and raised his hands to wave.
- The PR woman in charge of the event was backstage, scrambling to
put an end to the mayhem. Her job was on the line. The show had
family advertisers who would not take kindly to such behavior. It was time to send in somebody who would be able to take charge of the situation and shut the jokester up without turning the big crowd against them. She knew exactly who that would be and gave him his cue.
- Back on the stage, Dakota had sat on the stool next to Tammy and Dominic, so as to distance herself from the scene unfolding. There was no telling what the jokester would do next. According to some intel that Brent had gotten from the receptionist upstairs, his days as a key cast member were numbered. She wondered whether the jokester already knew that he was being dropped from contract to recurring, which
meant the show would use him as little as they felt like, no explanation necessary. Maybe that was what had led to this. The fans thought it was funny and it was, but the cast knew it was career suicide.
- The jokester was surprised no one from behind the scenes had tried to stop him like an angry school teacher. He started to stick out his tongue again, but a deafening roar made him turn to see who had upstaged his shenanigans. It could only have been someone very big. It was and it
was also the last event the jokester would ever attend ...
