| Friday, September 23, 2011 - PART 2 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! HAPPY DAYS - Part 2 - Maggie tears up as she reads a note from one of the kids that Tom and Alice took in. They used to share their home with needy kids, in addition to the Horton Center. Jen reads one and dabs at her eyes. Bo watches the women crying. They insist they are not sad. Hope marvels the opening of the town square makes their dreams and hopes live on forever. More tears. The excitement builds when Doug and Julie waltz in. They are thrilled to be there and to see the items. Jen mentions the scrapbook she made. They now sadly recall it has been almost a year. Doug shares that at Alice's funeral he remembered something she said after Addie passed away. Flashback to Alice explaining to Tom that life was a transition, it never ends. Doug states they live on in their hearts and memories. He hugs Jen, and Julie joins in. Maggie later recounts how Alice treated her much more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law. Flashback of a very young Maggie being reassured by Alice that she would be able to deal with the disease. She was right! Julie thinks it is wonderful there are still Hortons living in the family home and hopes it will always be true. Jen pauses. - When EJ comes downstairs, putting on his suit, Stefano angrily demands to know what that dance was with Nicole. EJ calls it fun. Stefano makes snide remarks and wonders if he can trust his common sense is in order . He loves the bombshell he is going to drop at the party, though he has concerns. EJ retorts he knows what he is doing. Stefano warns him what will happen if he screws up again, bringing shame to the name which also happens to be his. "Woe unto you, Elvis!" EJ clasps his father's hand and explains times change. The old ways were once effective. "But this is a new era. This is my time." He will no longer allow the phoenix to stand in his way. And he does things differently, for he is not him. Stefano growls EJ's life is his life, his family, his future. Can his thick skull understand that?! EJ stands firm. He must make his own future. He will either stand beside him or stand aside! - Jack is back in his hotel room, holding the newspaper which announces the town square. He places a call and asks for more information ... - Julie holds up a photo of Tom and Alice and sighs Tom certainly knew the meaning of romance. Moments of Tom romancing Alice are shown. Hope does not think there will ever be such a romance again but Maggie believes Bo and Hope come close! Bo and Hope's wedding moments and more are now shown as we travel back in time. A romantic carriage ride, kisses in the water, the Fancyface sailboat. Back to reality. Bo grins and agrees they aren't too shabby! - Back at the mansion, Stefano dramatically hands EJ the black king of his chess set. EJ is baffled, as he did not win the match. Stefano urges him to take it. "You've won enough!" He impressed him by standing up to him and for what he believed in. "Godspeed my son and God help whoever stands in your way!" - Jack admires a photo of the fair Jennifer, his bearded face now shown, and drawls "Well, Miss Horton, looks like I know where I'm gonna be able to find you tomorrow!" - Back at Horton house, the gang are laughing from the old stories. Julie wants a crumb from Hope about the party. Something. Jen agrees. Hope will tell them only one thing. "It's gonna be a night to remember!" The family soon disperses. Later, Bo and Hope are alone and he wonders if something is wrong. Hope is not sure. She feels there is something more that they have not found. Something they are close to. She can almost hear Alice telling her. Bo assures her she will find it soon, whatever it is, and ushers her out to the car. When the door closes, Alice's secret letters, which have been strung together for years, fall to the floor with a loud thud ... Next on Days of Our Lives Glam Hope gushes to Jen, Dan, Doug, and Julie "I have contacted some people and some of them are going to be there today!" Jennifer wonders who. At the town square, Sami looks up at her sister and brother-in-law as they wave to the crowd. "It's Carrie and Austin!" she says with glee. Hope addresses the crowd with a mike, Bo proudly by her side."They're here!" she exclaims. Bo raises his hands and cheers. Marlena, wearing a black dress, smiles as only she can, holding hands with John Black, elegant in a wheelchair, his eyes filled with emotion. WELCOME BACK, DAYS! |
