| DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Monday, November 26, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! TICK TOCK! - Part 2 - Nicole is about to knock when Dan gets a call from daughter Mel, who is not seen or heard. He is glad she has settled in overseas. He, however, is boring these days. He admits things were intense but the worst is over. He is moving on and things are looking up. Nicole makes a noise and he opens the door to check it out but she has stepped away. He shuts the door without having seen her. Nicole woefully departs. Alone. The same way she came. Dan studies his trembling hand and wants nurse Mel’s opinion on what he is considering … Jen had thought Dan was doing fine. Mama Maggie remarks he is and accuses Jen of pressuring him for that clinical trial, which might not even work. She is dismayed she even made him promise to think about it. Jen reasons it would be a great thing if it worked. Maggie thinks there is too much of a rush and the disappointment could be too much for him to endure at this time. In her view, he should wait until that drug has been officially approved and he is in a better place. Jen thinks it could be a great opportunity but miffed Maggie points out it could end in disaster and he would be the one to suffer the consequences. The nurse snaps Rafe has no authorization. Who does he think he is? Sami and Will have their arms around each other as they watch the emotional drama unfold. The nurse threatens to call security. Rafe rages he is a cop and if she does not unlock the damn door, he will break it down! Sami tells him to stop. He now asks Will how long she has been there. Will woefully states the procedure was already done, as per the nurse. Rafe bitterly calls that word procedure a euphemism and turns on Will, demanding he explain why he brought his sister to this place! Meanwhile, Gabi is reassured by the doctor that she will be alright as a lone tear trickles down her face. Dan is trying to concentrate on the research of the clinical trial as his hands periodically bother him. Knock knock! Tis serious little Jen He invites her in. She announces she owes him an apology for pushing him into thinking over the clinical trial right now. After all, this is HIS journey and she should not have been so presumptuous. Therefore, she is sorry. Dan the man grins no need to apologize. She is now surprised to hear he has decided to just do it, after everything she said. She was right. He has to do this and take the risk. It is who he is and she made him see it! He thanks her. Their eyes lock and they smile, their faces getting closer … Father Eric is alone again. He takes Nicole’s earring out of his desk drawer and stares at it. He places it back in the drawer and slides it shut. Within seconds, Nicole returns, wearing a long face. He wonders what is troubling her. She shares that she took his advice and apologized to Jen, who accepted. Eric is proud of her as that took great strength. But why so down? She laments she could not find the strength to say the same thing to Daniel. She unhappily says what she overheard him mention on the phone - that he was moving on, apparently without her. It was hard to hear. The priest places a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Nick decides to take a look at the computer and gasps when he discovers the last website Gabi visited. “Oh my God!” Sami jumps between raging Rafe and her son. She defends Will and informs Rafe it was her idea for Will to be there for Gabi. Rafe remains enraged and focuses on Will. Why did he even bring her here! What has it got to do with him? Will suddenly blurts out "She said that the baby..." He stops when Gabi emerges in tears. Rafe looks ready to cry as well. Will holds her and appears crushed. Rafe shuts his eyes in despair. Sami blinks back her own tears. They assume the worst ... and yet they are mistaken! END |
