| Wednesday, November 23, 2011 - PART 2 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Giving Thanks - Or Not - Part 2 - Abigail comes out and asks her parents what is going on. Jen is mad. Jack agrees he has accepted another assignment, but it is not dangerous. It involves teaching journalism at Salem University. It would keep him in Salem. Abigail sighs the campus is getting bigger. Austin has overheard and congratulates him. He too was offered a uni job, teaching forensic accounting. They congratulate him. Jen and Jack are soon alone again and she apologizes. She wants him to stay in town if it is what he wants, and also to get help. Jack insists that is what he wants. Jennifer smiles it seems she just got her Thanksgiving miracle. - Chez Maggie, Dan and Mel assure the redhead they will be tested, even though the chances of them having inherited her condition are slim. She sends them off to the china. Once they are gone, Victor notes she is worried. Maggie remarks her son the surgeon needs his hands to save lives. Vic suggests she not worry about what might be, but focus on all the blessings she has now. No need to go looking for trouble. He kisses her. "Thank you," whispers the redhead. - At DiMera mansion, Stefano praises Hope for her endless passion. She suggests he quit stalling. He reminds her she is alive today thanks to him. She retorts she never would have been locked up in the castle turret once upon a time if not for him! She gets back to the topic of grandma Alice. He refuses to cooperate, but tells her to question herself. If he and Alice had such a bond, then why did she go to her grave without telling Hope, with whom she was supposedly so close? - Carrie warns John he is appearing culpable with his silence. He feels the public are out for blood and anything he said would just ring hollow. Marlena and Carrie disagree. The judge returns and he repeats to her that he has nothing to say. The judge gives him a very stern look and announces she is ready to pass sentence. - Back at Maggie's kitchen, Victor is still at work as Dan cuts veggies. Victor asks for an update on the fair Jen, then advises his godson to go after the girl. All is fair in love and war! Maggie and Mel return. Victor grins he is quite good at slicing these potatoes. Dan quietly confides to Mel he has changed his mind. Effective immediately, he will fight for Jennifer. Maybe one day they will be as happy as Victor and Maggie, who are presently fawning over each other. - The judge announces she has received letters from the mayor, who wrote on John's behalf, but also letters from union leaders and victims of the crimes. John Black has not shown any remorse and his actions are reprehensible. To set an example, she is giving him twice the usual sentence, which means 50 years in prison, no chance of parole. Carrie gasps that is a life sentence. Marlena stares in shock. John stands in silence. - At the mansion, Hope realizes there was a bond between Stefano and Alice. He points out if she hid things in the dark corners of her attic, she had her reasons. She should therefore forget she found that paperweight. "Let the secrets of the dead stay with the dead in peace," declares the phoenix. Hope insists her grandmother had no deep, dark secrets like him. Stefano points out he was not disputing that, though sometimes people have choices that lead them to strange places. He implies she could learn something she does not want to know about what someone might have done "and the price that they paid to be human ..." Cue the music! - All Salemites are shown getting ready for the holiday as a song about secrets and the end or the beginning plays. Maggie has just fed Dan his favorite raspberry relish. Son hugs mother. Mel shows new grandmother her pie. Victor blinks. - At the pub, Lexie kisses Abe. Jack cutely helps Jen with her phone. The gang go out with the packed boxes. Abigail hangs onto Austin's hat, a smile on her face - John hugs crying Marlena and is then carted off. The blonde starts to collapse. Carrie holds her up. The mysterious baby picture is shown at DiMera mansion. Meanwhile John sits in his cell and shuts his eyes, his hands clasped together. END. Next on Days of Our Lives Abigail finds Sonny and Will on their computers at the pub. "I have great news and it is so good for your site too!" QUINN (seductively massaging Kate's hand) It's my pleasure to work on you. KATE Are you hitting on me? John addresses Brady from behind bars. "I am gonna have to ask you for one last favor." |
