She fainted too. Rafe growls Nick assured him nothing was happening between them. Sami argues sometimes friends can become more, as they well know. Rafe is dismayed to hear that Gabi did not want him to know as she feared he would hate her. He realizes he would have been hard on the girl and glumly leaves for her place. Sami suddenly announce she is coming with him. Gabi is about to call Rafe on her phone, then stops, as she cannot bring herself to tell him just yet. Will returns to the coffee house. Sonny greets him wearing his apron and grins he wants to tell him what happened. He cannot help but notice that Will is not quite himself. Will explains he did not sleep much last night. Sonny gushes neither did he! Nervous Will has a favor and asks for a loan, though he cannot say why he needs the cash. Sonny appears a tad concerned though he does not pry. He would like to know how much he needs. Two hundred. Sonny presently has only 150 and offers to go home and get his wallet. Will explains the 150 would be sufficient for now. Sonny hands him the cash from the till and hopes it will all work out. Will thanks him and adds last night meant much to him. Sonny too. Will alludes to seeing him soon. Sonny grins he hopes so. Exit Will. Once alone, Sonny’s eyes cloud over with worry. He senses something is not right. Rafe bursts into the pub as Nick clears a table. He demands to known where Gabi is. Resting in her room. As Sami tries to calm him, Rafe drawls he better do the right thing and races up to see her. Nick yells after him he loves her so there is no need to tell him that! Kristen gasps she cannot take any more and rushes out. John starts to go after her and Marlena sarcastically wonders if he is going to offer her his jacket or shoulder to cry on . When she asserts she really must have hired the muggers, John calls that paranoia. She has no proof! Marlena notes if she is wrong this time, there is still the past to consider. Kristen tried to kill her once and she needs him to be on her side. He should understand that she is not on top on her game when she is around. She will never be able to forgive her! Marlena turns away as her eyes fill with tears. John muses he only asked her to move on, for his sake. “Can you do that, Doc?” he implores. Silence. He unhappily concludes that is a No. When did this happen? When did they stop communicating with each other? He now walks away. Marlena stares ahead, her heart breaking. Kristen must return to Brady’s room, as she forgot her phone. She charmingly thanks him for racing to her rescue and he thanks her for returning the favor. Exit Kristen. Lucas is walking by the town square gate when he spies Gabi standing and staring into space He greets her and asks if she is alright. John saunters into Brady’s room and teases he is getting out soon. Before he can go sign his discharge papers, Brady brings up Kristen. He has listened to Maggie and agrees he has been too involved. It is not his business. In addition, he thinks John might be right about Kristen too! John appears relieved. Kristen approaches Marlena, who is standing alone. She smirks a big THANK YOU, a wicked glint in her eye, and triumphantly takes her leave. Marlena glares daggers at her. Sami follows Nick around the pub and quips Nick ought to cut Rafe some slack, since he just found out his sister is pregnant. Nick’s mouth drops open. “What?!” Rafe knocks on Gabi’s door and asks her to open up. No answer. He enters anyway and wonders where the hell she is. Will spies Gabi and walks toward her. He tells her he got some money from Sonny but they still need fifty more. Meanwhile, Gabi assures Lucas that things are just swell. Will realizes his father is present. He promptly stops in his tracks and gulps. Lucas is no fool. He would like to know which one of them will enlighten him about what is really going on. Gabi and Will exchange a nervous glance as Lucas peers at the pair of them, suspiciously waiting for an answer ... END |
