Marlena hugs son Eric and Roman excitedly calls Caroline with the news. Nicole uncertainly glances through the window. She does not feel like she belongs … Dan uncomfortably admits to Maggie that he told Jen he loves her and she knows he meant it too! He fears she intends to let him down easy. Maggie laughs he seems to have it all figured out. Dan suspects Jen is not ready for a relationship and maybe never will be. Maggie suggests he could be wrong about that … Eric would like to arrange to have a mass here for the whole family. Roman gets choked up and excuses himself to find something they can make a toast with. Eric informs smiling mama Marlena he can see how Roman is still hiding his feelings. She giggles, tells him how proud she is, and goes to help Roman with the glasses. Eric now asks employee Eddie whether he has seen Nicole. Last time Eddie saw her she was taking off in a hurry ... Nicole walks alone through the town square and wipes a tear from her cheek. Sami greets her brother with a tearful embrace and teases she will not call him father! Dan points out Jack meant the world to Jennifer. Maggie likens the situation to Victor drawing her to the light. And Jen has true feelings for him. Dan does not want her to make a rash decision and hopes she does not feel beholden to him. Maggie advises him to go with the flow and let it happen. She adds it is still good he took that shower and he chuckles. Jen opens the door and informs her uninvited visitor she has much work to do. Kristen tells her how proud her grandparents would be of her and exits. Jen sighs. Will corrects Gabi. “What are WE gonna do. We’re in this together, Gabi. We’re both pregnant!" Gabi sniffles she just knew he would say that. Nick emerges from the shadows and asks his beloved what is the matter. Will looks at Gabi looks at Will. Pause. He covers by claiming he needed to talk to her about his problems. Nick grumbles that is typical. He explains she was in the hospital this morning. He now asks Will to tell his jerk friend Chad to back off. He was hassling Gabi at the pub and if he keeps it up, he will hassle him right back! Will agrees to pass the message on. He now assures Gabi he will do his part for that “class project” and discreetly excuses himself. Protective Nick does not approve that after getting out of the hospital, Gabi went on a study date and then helped Will with his problems. She needed her rest! John impatiently reminds Brady that Kristen poses no threat to his relationship with Marlena. Brady calls him a fool. If he believes in Kristen, it will upset Marlena a great deal … Sami laughs why did Eric not call? She would have met him at the airport. He explains he went to the rectory, then for a jog. And she will never guess who tracked him down. She snaps it must have been that bitch Nicole. Father Eric winces. Nicole deletes all of her messages from Daniel as she walks alone in the night. Taylor now calls (not seen or heard). At the church, upbeat Kristen is early for the meeting and the father informs her they will now be chaired by a new priest who will be there soon. He decides to take his leave. Kristen makes a wisecrack about not locking up the silver and is soon surprised by the arrival of Brady. Will glumly returns to Sonny’s place. Sonny is dressed. He notes Will’s long face and wonders how Gabi is. Will sits down on the bed with a deep sigh and laments she had a problem. Sonny thinks it was her problem, in that case. He crouches down and hopes he did not say the wrong thing. Will would rather not talk about it. They share a hug. Nick has taken Gabi back to her room and lectures her for not getting her much needed rest. He wants her to get some sleep and asks her to text him if she needs anything. She requests he stay here with her. “Of course,” he murmurs and they hold each other tight. Sami regrets cursing in the presence of her priest brother. They sit at a table with coffee and he advises her to forgive Nicole. Sami explains that one is worse than ever. He should steer clear of her! A frown creases Eric’s holy brow. Nicole has an update for her calling sister. Things have changed. As it turns out, she has decided to stay in Salem. Jen gets a visitor while working at her computer. Tis Dan. Their eyes lock. Kristen suspects she knows what Brady is doing there. He defiantly declares he is taking his father’s place on the board. Permanently! Kristen sticks out her lower lip, barely able to contain herself ... END |
