He is sorry that is all he had and Will assures him this is great. Sonny wonders if he misses the perks and luxuries of working for EJ. Not at all. He would not trade anything he now has and pulls him into a kiss. Gabi knows not what she is presently thinking. Sami is now sorry she mentioned it, for this is her and Nick’s choice. Gabi exclaims NO. Sami understands her view, being the woman. However, fathers have rights too. Matter of fact, she found out the hard way. Gabi frowns. Sami wants her to talk to her. She cries she is numb and her mind is blank. She does not want to talk to anyone. Sami assures her she has time. Gabi exclaims not much! And how will she be able to face Nick? Sami suggests she give him a chance. She is there for her too but she knows Nick will handle this better than she thinks. She tells the unhappy girl she is not alone. Nick gets back to the pub. Eddie is not done his shift so Nick tries to reach Gabi on his phone. Meanwhile, Sami has gone and Gabi gets a referral for an OBGYN from Dr. Cam. She thanks him and seeks his assurance that this is all confidential. It is but he urges her to take care of herself. She quips she will take care of this herself. Cam wishes her luck and appears concerned as she exits. Nicole ponders who else might know if Eric is indeed back. She is not comfortable contacting Roman or Sami so she does not and decides to go shopping. That is when she spies him again, walking by in his suit. “Oh my God that is him!” She follows in hot pursuit. EJ stands alone at the town square gate. He admires a picture of himself with Sami and the kids on his phone and whispers “Only for you” to the woman of his dreams. He now makes the dreaded call. Stefano answers in Italian. Elvis addresses him in English. “Fatha?” The phoenix (heard, though unseen) is pleasantly surprised. EJ has a proposition … John explains to Kristen that it will not be fine for Marlena as long as she is in town. Kristen poses on a chair and sweetly smiles she knows one way to put Marlena's mind at ease … with Sami! Sami is stressed about all her work emails as she checks her phone at the coffee house. Kristen will kill her! She bumps into Rafe, who still suspects something is the matter - more than just work. He would like to know what it is and looks her squarely in the eye. Sami squirms with her cup of coffee. Will and Sonny are getting frisky in bed when a loud knock is heard at the door. Will laughingly assumes it is Lucas. Sonny laughs it cannot be. The knocking continues. “Will, it’s Gabi!” The coffee house manager told her he was here and she needs to speak with him about something important! John is flabbergasted that Kristen is actually walking away from a job with a major corporation. She coyly claims to be glad to do it for his and Marlena’s sake. He wonders if this is where he is supposed to insist it is not necessary, agree she has changed, and invite her for dinner. She smiles it is already a done deal. He thanks her as this means a lot. They shake on it. EJ informs fatha that Kristen has expressed her desire for him to take over at Countess W. Stefano drawls it would be a great serrrrrrrvice to the family. EJ points out he would be doing it for his sister. In addition, he will keep his own business interests and if he so much as suspects he is being undermined by him, he is out. Stefano humors him and chuckles that was spoken like a true DiMera. He is pleased he and Kristen are getting along. EJ is all business. He adds he will send him a copy of the financials by year’s end. Stefano sighs upon hearing that would be the audited numbers. They shall see how it goes. EJ cordially ends the call and tells himself he can do this … He shuts his eyes and sighs. Sami pretends to Rafe she had a question but figured it out for herself. She is in a hurry. His dark eyes appraise her with even more suspicion and he continues to probe. She asks him to leave the matter alone. He however, would still like to know why she called. Shirtless Will opens the door to Gabi as Sonny lounges in the bed. She is sorry for the interruption as it seems to be a bad time. Will assures her it is alright. She starts to leave and he stops her, realizing that something is terribly wrong. He asks her to tell him what is going on. Gabi pauses. Nicole looks through the pub window and suddenly realizes she was right, that is him! She opens the door and walks inside. “Eric Is it you?” He turns around from the bar and she finds herself face to face with new Eric. She blinks in confusion at his white collar. Father Eric gives her a pleasant grin. The handsome love of Nicole’s life now stands before her as a man of God ... END |
