POWER PLAY - Part 2 - Roman praises Rafe for his work but he must do the right thing and be a good father to the baby he shares with Nicole. He also wants him not to come between Sami and Carrie. That is the last thing the sisters need. - Austin first wants to show Carrie the scrapbook he made of their history. He shows her pictures of their first trip to the Green Mountain Lodge. She tries to stop him. She needs to tell him something. Roman now bangs at the door that time is up. Carrie explains she needs a few minutes. Roman persists. Austin agrees he will come. Carrie starts to cry. Austin assumes she wanted to tell him they should put the bad things behind them. He wants her to remember how good they were together. He is still the same man she fell in love with and when she gets out, they will make new memories. He kisses her hand and promises her they will be happy. Exit Austin. Carrie looks miserable. - Back at the ISA Salem station, Shane has news about the insignia. It has been traced to a jeweler in Italy that Stefano's father Santo was known to use. Bo and Hope want to go to Italy to follow up. Shane has his doubts. Bo and Hope suggest at least for now he let them remain at the ISA and keep working. Shane agrees to that and exits with Billie. Bo hugs his Fancyface and roguishly steals a kiss. Alone at last! - Back at the mansion, Stefano sighs. He understands Elvis wants him to be his father but now it is different. EJ laments it does not have to be, unless that is what he wants. The phoenix insists it does not work that way. They cannot keep up the pretense of actually being father and son. EJ drawls in that case, he leaves him no other choice. Stefano suspects a threat is coming his way. He is right! EJ arrogantly sits at the desk and recounts how for years he watched and scrutinized his master, in order to become his successor. Stefano agrees he was a good pupil. EJ recalls he learned to be cold, ruthless, and unforgiving. Now he is putting him on notice. He calls him old man and vows to use everything he taught him against him! - Lexie make a heartfelt video to her son as Celeste and Cameron watch. She looks into the camera. Nothing will ever change the fact that he is her gift, her heart. And whenever he misses her, he can go someplace quiet and listen for her whisper because she will be saying "I love you, my darling darling Theo. Never ever forget that your mommy loves you." She cries and blows him some kisses, then breaks down and asks emotional Cameron and Celeste to stop the camera. - Back at the safe house, Rafe and Carrie are together. Roman and Austin are long gone. She wonders whether they are doing the right thing. Rafe admits Roman suggested he keep his distance. He will do it if that is really what she wants. She wants only to be with him. Rafe is relieved. They embrace. - Stefano approaches Elvis and ominously warns he would not want him as an enemy. How about they declare peace and go their separate ways. EJ coldly states it is more complicated than that. He invested many years in preparing to take over the DiMera legacy. And he has no intention of letting it slip through his fingers. There is clearly no one suitable to take over when the phoenix dies. Stefano does not think he will expire so soon. EJ reasons even if he manages to avoid prison, he will have to live in this big house all alone like a prisoner. Stefano folds his arms. EJ brazenly moves a black piece on the chess set. "Check!" Stefano smirks slightly. - Harmon is at the ISA station, pretending to be there to pick up a report from Shane Donovan. Becky reluctantly lets him know which room said agent was working in. Harmon thanks her and grabs the door handle. Inside, Hope hears the noise but Bo does not and kisses her. Harmon rattles the door handle, dismayed it is locked. - Theo presents Lexie with a Mother's Day card he made her. She is touched and even more so when the video is ready. She places the card in the case as the cover and smiles with gratitude at brother Cameron. - Stefano turns away from EJ. "Get out! You'rrrre not welcome here!" EJ reminds him he would have stood by him through thick and thin, but he made the decision to push him away. Perhaps he should count his blessings. Only a bastard with no soul would do what he did to him. He is fortunate he is not his real father. It will make becoming the worst nightmare so much easier. Exit EJ. Stefano slowly shakes his head, his back still turned. - Harmon has now managed to gain access to the room, and proceeds to rummage through it. Bo and Hope are in the adjoining office. They are crouched down, Bo watching through the window, not making a sound. Harmon prepares his gun and approaches. He reaches for that door handle. Bo silently gives Hope a signal ... END |
