One thing she asked was to make certain Theo remained in contact with Johnny and Sydney. Sami agrees. EJ rubs his head and gets back to the topic of William, whom he believes is an adult. He makes his own choices. Sami is convinced he is forcing him to work for him. EJ arrogantly reminds her he is the mayor and head of DiMera Enterprises. Sami does not agree that Will should work for him. EJ now suggests he let him run Countess W and then she could work for him! Sami is not amused and yells he promised she could run that company! He grins she should not antagonize him if she wishes to keep that lucrative job. She growls she hates him, warns him not to underestimate her, and is gone. EJ chuckles, having enjoyed the spirited exchange. Will soon arrives. EJ informs him of his mother’s visit and advises him not to go running to her anytime he has a problem. Will protests he did not do that. EJ quips he would like more loyalty. Will sighs. He deduces his parents figured out the situation. They already know he blackmailed him before. EJ will not tolerate insubordination. He declares HE is the captain of this ship and will not stand for any mutiny attempts. - Sonny smiles Will is pretty tough. Lucas credits Sonny for making things easier for him and is grateful he is in his life. Sonny gushes he would do anything for him. Lucas stares. He now poses a personal question. He wonders about the fact … “that you have feelings for my son. More than a friend …” Sonny replies they have become really good friends. Lucas did not intend to make him uncomfortable but gets the feeling he wants to be more. Sonny agrees. It goes beyond friendship for him. Lucas appreciates his honesty. Sonny adds Will is not ready for he needs to be comfortable with himself first. Lucas is pleased he is so mature and thinks Will is worth waiting for. He approves. Sonny thanks him, then points out he is not sure Will feels the same about him. Time will tell. Meanwhile, he hopes Lucas will not say anything. Lucas assures him his secret is safe with him. Sonny just does not want him to feel any more pressure … - Back at the pub, Nicole chows down while Rafe remarks EJ just might be locked up in jail by the time her baby is born. She does not want to believe he shot Stefano, though it is true they were not on the best of terms when he perished. ISA Spencer returns and laments it does not look too promising with the warrant. Nicole steps up, introduces herself, and offers to find whatever they want without a warrant. She can search EJ’s place! Spencer would rather go by the book and takes his leave. Nicole is miffed. But Rafe knows only too well that one must play by the rules. - Out in the town square, Lucas runs into Sami and angrily concludes she went to see EJ. She gasps someone had to and she told him to leave Will the hell alone! - Will assures EJ he is not at all fussed about their arrangement. EJ reads a document. Will continues. He learns more with him than anything they teach at Salem U. EJ recalls how he was wet behind the ears but now has come a long way. Will thanks him, then brings up Sami. What did he ever see in her?! EJ is caught off guard by the question. Will wonders how a smart guy like him could have ended up with her! EJ grins, then becomes rather flustered. They are alike. Besides, in life everyone make mistakes. Even him! He stands up and changes the subject, handing him an envelope. He orders flunky Will to make copies of the contents for city council members. Will grins “Aye Aye Captain” and departs. EJ stops and stares at a photograph of Sami and the three children. - Meanwhile, Lucas continues to lecture Sami. He is utterly exasperated she keeps banging her head against the wall with that DiMera guy. She simply must stay away from EJ, for no good will come of it! - Spencer is on his phone outside, having received word the search warrant was officially denied. He doubts they would have found anything. EJ would have disposed of the evidence. Rafe still thinks he could have made a mistake. EJ is not accustomed to getting his hands dirty. They simply have to find a way to search the mayor’s apartment! - EJ is still admiring the framed photograph of Sami and the children when, much to his astonishment, Nicole appears at his door. May she come in? Of course. He watches and waits as she uncomfortably enters his lair …! END |
