She, however, fears it is fleeting. He stole a woman’s eggs - this was not a humanitarian act! She suspects he will point out Daniel would not be here if not for him. Victor urges her to believe he will never lie again. She cries she is not sure he can even keep such a promise! He concedes it will take time. Still, they can be happy from day to day. He goes on to suggest she was given a gift from God and should not turn her back on it, then realizes that sounded rather arrogant. Maggie starts to giggle, then admits he does make her happy. She is aware that he loves her and she loves him too. But alas it might not be enough. He roguishly dares her to give them a shot. She will hit the jackpot! Maggie notes she has taken many leaps of faith in her life already and it is a struggle to stay sober. The bottom line is she does not believe he will change. She cannot have her heart broken again. She sadly bids him goodbye. He stops her in the foyer with something else he wishes to share. - Kayla and Steve have been fighting. In addition, the main reason she returned and stayed in Salem was because she needed to be away from Steve, to seek perspective on whether she could even go back! Jen asks how long this has been going on. The problems began as soon as they left Salem. She was in denial at first but Patch was restless. Just like Jack, the man craved adventure. Originally this is what she loved about him. Jen can relate, as that is what she loved about Jack. Kayla sighs she should have seen it coming. Restless adventurer Steve contacted Shane and got back to work for the ISA. Jen is appalled. She is sorry Kayla had to cope alone. Pragmatic Kayla feels in life one must always cope alone. She has now accepted it. Abe worriedly wonders what she has accepted. Kayla woefully states he was the man she fell in love with, though he is no longer the man she wants to be with! She had hoped he would choose his family over what he was doing. But then she lost him. And after the words they exchanged today, it is indeed real. Jen thinks there might still be hope. Kayla sadly shakes her head for she believes happily ever after will never happen for herself and Steve. She will not wake up in his arms or hear his laughter anymore. Now all they will have is memories. Abe gets teary-eyed and Kayla suddenly realizes she was insensitive with her timing. Abe assures her she can lean on her friends and compares her situation to what he is doing. One must simply go on … - Hope perceives something is still bothering Bo. He knows it is not her fault but finds it tough that legally she is still married to John, despite her best efforts to remedy the situation. Hope understands. Bo remarks it must be hard for Marlena as well. Marlena’s eyes widen. She admits she is not happy about it. Bo grumbles he will have to jump through hoops to remarry his wife. Hope giggles he still wants to marry her. Bo grins he will pick the band this time. Marlena is pleased they are making progress. They soon enjoy coffee together, in elegant mugs that match the elegant surroundings. Hope is relieved things are out in the open. Marlena points out it is hard to carry around any unresolved questions and conflicts. Bo agrees they are making progress. Hope teases they are high maintenance and insists they keep working on their relationship. Marlena concludes all couples have to … - Back at the ornate Kiriakis mansion, Victor woefully informs Maggie that he was afraid she would leave him if the truth came out so he tried to hide it from her. She whispers she knows. He confesses he reacted in an unmanly manner when she confronted him. It is something he regrets. He declares he loves her. “You make me want to be better.” The kind of man who deserves a caring, compassionate, and forgiving woman like her. She notices he has included the word forgiving. The Greek tycoon does not deny it and emotionally continues. Is there any chance they can start fresh? He is desperate to try again, knowing fully well that one slip could make him lose her forever. “Is there any chance for us at all?” Maggie’s eyes soften as he waits for an answer from the woman he loves … END |
