Sonny grumbles he has to go and takes off. Gabi goes after him and stops him outside. She demands to know why he is avoiding her. Sonny would rather not discuss. She presses him. He had claimed they were friends and all of a sudden he treats her like dirt! Sonny is not forthcoming. She suspects Chad has talked to him! Sonny stares. Inside, Will laments the wedding shalll be a nightmare for him. He is going to have to stand and watch his uncle marry a woman who is carrying his child. Abigail arrives at the coffee house searching for Sonny. Chad informs her he is not there, but seems affected by the sight of the pretty girl and her updo. She gushes she just wanted to tell him how happy she is that he and Will are in love. Chad grins, then asks if she ever hears from Mel. Negative. She blew through their lives and is now gone. Chad notes she really understands. He impulsively invites her to go out with him. Nothing special but it would be good for them. She always makes him laugh! Justin appears and is sorry for the interruption but he must speak with Chad. Abigail gives them their space. Lawyer Justin accuses Chad of morphing into a true DiMera! He growls he cannot do whatever he wants and advises him not to play him. He is in blatant violation of the agreement he signed! Chad admits he needed to tell someone. He is sure Sonny will keep his silence but Justin quips he already told him. His fate now rests entirely in Sonny’s hands … Chad assures him that he just wanted Sonny to see that Gabi is poison and should be kept away from Will. He now calls the agreement stupid. Justin drawls he was only looking out for him. He is a DiMera. Gabi has no criminal record. And Nick the victim has witnesses and pictures of what he did to his face. Chad drawls so what, does he have to just take it? Justin snaps that is exactly what he has to do and strolls off to his next legal encounter. Abigail scurries up and notes that was intense. Chad thinks all will be well if she agrees to go out with him. It would be fun. They could even console each other. She girlishly grins she will think about it and flounces out. Brady surprises Kristen at her place. She plays coy but he reminds her she did give him a come hither look at the coffee house. He will not be easily dismissed and grabs her in a passionate kiss. Marlena drops by the rectory to see Eric. He perceives she is upset. She admits her trusted psychiatrist is out of town and she feels the need to talk to someone. Eric hopes this is not about Kristen again. Marlena complains the woman always draws her back in. She is also starting to question her behavior. Eric is very sorry he cannot help as he does not possess the facts. Marlena is afraid of sharing something with John, for God knows what he would do if he knew! At the mansion, Victor consults with his guest, one John Black. He muses Brady tells him Kristen has them believing she has changed from Lizzie Borden to Mary Poppins! John is amused by his bluntness, but suggests she has indeed changed. The Greek tycoon thinks she is still a chip off the old DiMera block and warns him not to be taken in. John is not listening and after a few pleasantries, takes his leave. As he walks out, he spies the envelope with Kristen’s name and recognizes Brady’s handwriting. Brady getting gifts for Kristen? “What’s goin on here?!” Brady jumps up from the bed after his and Kristen’s lovemaking and boasts he got her a present. He reaches in his pocket, then sighs he must have left it home. It is at Victor’s house with an envelope and her name on it. Oh oh! Nick grimaces at Will and hopes he is not trying to go south on him. He calls him buddy. Will snaps he is not his buddy. And how does Gabi feel about his uncle marrying her and Nick?! Nick impatiently assures him Gabi is fine with his uncle marrying them. He ominously hopes Will is not going to cause any trouble ... Gabi accuses Chad of making up things about her and blaming her for Mel dropping him after he beat poor Nick to a pulp. Sonny reminds Gabi that he knows Chad, Chad is his business partner, and Chad has never lied to him. Gabi insists he does not know what really happened, suggests he back the hell off, and turns away. Brady is fastening his pants when there is a knock on Kristen's door. Tis John! She hastily hides Brady in the closet, then flips her hair and casually opens the door. John suavely holds up the gift box and attached envelope. “I think this is for you!” Still in the closet, shirtless Brady rolls his eyes as Kristen smiles in delight ... END |
