When The Stakes Are High - Part 2 - At the table, Stefano suspects his princess is not as calm and collected as she acts. She could say the same about him! The new dealer arrives. Gina examines the cards. So does the Pawn. "Deal." He steps back and observes. The game gets underway. Stefano proposes if the princess wins, he will leave them alone forever. But if he wins, they will get him his egg tonight. His terms are accepted. The cards are dealt. Gina has a full house, but Stefano's full house is the higher one, Gina frowns. The Pawn stares. Stefano glares at them. "Now go get me my egg!" the king growls. - Marlena informs Carrie she always knew she did the right thing in choosing John. Carrie sighs she and Austin had so much time and love invested, yet things kept coming between them. It has been so much work just to get to this place. She cannot help but think of Rafe, that honest and loving man. She is not sure she wants to walk away from the thought of him and asks Marlena to tell her what to do. "Be true to yourself and listen to your heart," wisely advises the blonde.Carrie announces she now knows who she wants to be with and rushes off to find him ... - Sami accuses Lucas of turning his back on her. Lucas is exasperated she would say such a thing. He reminds her all her problems come from her unresolved feelings for EJ. Sami gets madder. He stands up. She begs him not to go. He explains she must deal with what she feels for EJ first and takes off. Sami later approaches Caroline and they sigh about Bo still being in a coma. The kids pray for him nightly. Caroline could not help but notice her intense discussion with Lucas. Sami quips he drives her crazy, though he is right about some things. Now she knows what she needs to do. Caroline admits that scares her to hear. Sami happily takes off. Caroline muses God only knows what that girl is going to do next! - Nicole reminds EJ the doctor had said she had no chance of carrying a baby to term. He insists she would be better off at the mansion. She calls it his home, not hers. He impatiently warns she will NOT keep his child from him. Rafe suddenly takes control of the situation by placing an arm around Nicole and declaring that HE is the father! It is his child! Nicole is visibly relieved. EJ retorts there is no way ... Rafe boasts he already saw them together. EJ decides he is lying. Nicole argues he is not. This is why they filed divorce papers at the same time. EJ's eyes are filled with doubt as he observes the supposedly happy couple. - Roman is at the pub when he calls Marlena. She explains her message was because she needs help as John seems to be missing in Alamania. Roman is right on it. He will ask Abe to assist. She thanks him and is on her way! - Stefano solemnly states he expects to hear from Gina and the Pawn shortly and exits the red room. John chuckles all is going according to plan! The pair toast to the future. They will get the egg, sell it, and run away together. They kiss. - Lucas is standing alone outside. He ends a call with Autumn, whom he promises to see soon. Sami approaches him and announces she does have unresolved feelings, but not for EJ. They are for him! - Carrie walks into the town square in time to hear Rafe assure EJ that he is the father of Nicole's baby, so he should leave them the hell alone! Her face falls ... END |
