The deal was too sweet to pass up! She is simply over the moon. Lucas grumbles sometimes she makes it hard to defend her and storms out to find his mother. Sami calls after him. - Dan agrees to see what he can do for the Salem patient. Slowly. Hope appreciates it. - Abe soon returns and informs EJ that Lexie is feeling better. EJ notes she is the only thing that matters and he meant what he said. He will do whatever he can and cover all costs. Abe appreciates the support. EJ continues. "If you need something anything, you call me. Make sure I'm your first phone call." He is there for his sister and her family. The two men agree to put aside their differences. EJ is sorry for what he has done and extends a hand. Abe accepts and they shake on it. Lexie comes downstairs and smiles this is a first! She feels fine now. Abe thinks she should lie down. EJ realizes he should leave and allow her to rest. If she needs anything, she should call. Lexie walks him to the door and says she loves him too. However, she is not ready for father to know just yet. They share a tender embrace. EJ departs. Abe places his arms around his wife. Outside the door, EJ looks ready to cry. Inside, Lexie and Abe sit together on the sofa. She talks plan. Abe wants to be optimistic, but she cautiously remarks they need to be realistic and prepared instead of blindly hoping for the best. She is thinking of their son. Abe shakes his head and disagrees. "I promised you that I was not going to let you talk like you had already given up." Lexie diverts her gaze. She explains the doctor in her knows this is what she should do. Abe talks miracles and urges her to stay positive, focus on recovering. Lexie starts to cry. Abe woefully declares he will not lose her. She breaks down. He holds her in his arms and quietly cries with her. - Still at the pub, Marlena reminds John he promised to give her the life she deserved when they came back to Salem. He reasons he wants her to be safe from Stefano and elaborates. DiMera is the main suspect in the embezzlement but that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is much much more and unless he figures out what it is, the phoenix could take them all down with him! That coin means something and he needs to solve it. She suggests he give it to him. John murmurs it never ends. But this time around, DiMera has never been more dangerous. Marlena now accepts it is important for him to pursue this. She only wishes that they would be able to live their lives at some point without the danger of Stefano lurking in the background. He quips that is why he will put him in prison. Marlena ominously states she does not believe they will be free "until he is DEAD!" - Still upset, EJ walks into Sami's apartment and orders her to get the children. He wants to hug them and tell them he loves them right away. She perceives his distraught state and wonders what is the matter. EJ laments Lexie has an inoperable brain tumor. He chokes back the tears and bitterly notes she is a doctor who saves lives, but where is the help when she needs it! He covers his face with a hand. Sami holds him. He leans on her, then pulls away. She points out there are new treatments all the time. He does not understand why this is happening to Lexie. She is a better person than others so why is she being punished? Sami assures him she is not being punished, just as Johnny was not being punished. She reminds him how Johnny recovered. But not knowing the outcome was what made it scary and tough. EJ now spies Countess W files and snaps they are not supposed to be there. Sami proudly smiles she is the new CEO of the company. He would like to know what happened, then realizes fatha gave away control without his approval. He growls he is a partner and fatha has no business doing that! Sami disagrees. EJ explains he was supposed to sign off on this. It is nothing personal. However, he intends to find out why fatha keeps insulting him and circumventing his authority. He storms off to confront him, leaving behind a nervous Sami who had not realized she was in such a precarious position. - Lucas follows upset Kate to the town square and gives her a pep talk. They can start a new company together. He adds she and Billie could also come to work for him at Hearth and Home. Kate cries the phone call she just ended was about that. It turns out Stefano also took Hearth and Home away from them! She cries that when they were first married, she had signed it over to him. Lucas cannot believe it. Kate cries she was stupid. - Dr. Dan has taken steps to help Bo slowly come out of the coma. Hope impatiently wants him to wake up and says so. His eyes slowly open again to the sound of her voice and he whispers "Fancyface." She cries tears of joy. "Bo, I'm here!" They missed each other. Bo is glad she is back and wants an update. She hushes him and urges him to rest. Bo now hoarsely asks Dr. Dan to give them a minute. The medicine man exits for 60 seconds. Bo shares with Hope that he heard her talking about all their memories. It made him want to come back to his Fancyface. Hope touches his face and cries she loves him more than he will ever know. He loves her. She kisses him on the lips. Happy at last ... END |
