There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... In the storage room, Abigail gives Ben a come-hither-hero look. He snaps what the hell? They are locked in and she seeks a conversation with her captive. He demands to know how EJ broke her heart. Abi announces she came not to discuss EJ but to discuss them! Ben laments EJ is everywhere as she is evidently not over him. She was even thinking of him when he kissed her. Abi gasps it was not what he thinks … At the pub, Hope realizes how heavy Ciara’s pink binder is. She spies a pair of young lovers and remembers her hot kiss with Aiden. Ciara wants her to make haste so she can catch Chase on this first day of school. She suggests mommy will see his daddy too! She is excited about grade 4 and auditioning for Cinderella. Hope is rather anti-Cinderella, feeling it is the wrong message to send a girl. One should not wait around for Prince Charming … Ciara is actually after the role of a mean sister, which makes Hope laugh. At the mansion, Sami informs pleased EJ that the judge ruled against Stefano. The indictment is on! She knows it was his doing … EJ plays innocent but Sami calls what he did a miracle to protect HER. He makes light of it and denies it. Sami knows better, given Rafe’s new evidence. EJ quips he deserves a promotion. Sami insists he was the one who stopped Stefano for HER. EJ quietly warns her if fatha knew he had betrayed him, it would be dangerous for him as well as those he loves. Therefore, he did NOT do this. Dangerous music plays. Sami gets it and covers Kate was just talking crazy. EJ places his hand next to hers and seductively murmurs her name. Samantha. Sami sighs Stefano is gonna come after her and Kate with a vengeance. He caresses her ring finger, where she still sports her ring, as though trying in some small way to reassure her he is here, through thick and thin … JJ and Paige enter Horton house, where Jen awaits with a banner for the class of 2018. She even has matching sweatshirts for the new Salem U freshmen. Paige is happy to be there and jokes her mom got her a Stanford sweatshirt too … Speaking of the devil … Eve is sulking at the park. A couple of good-time girls for hire come by complaining about the lack of action. Eve stands up and decides to follow them. She follows the blonde all the way to the club and records her stealing the wallet from an unattended purse. Blondie starts to go. Eve stops her at the door and threatens to expose her with the video she took with her phone. Blondie pretends to have found the wallet on the floor and gives it to the girl who has since returned to her purse and chair. Eve, however, is not satisfied and ushers her off to make a deal … Paige gets a call from Mary Beth and Jen asks JJ about his first day of college so far. JJ notices she has a written appointment with Dan the man. She calls it coffee only and notes he looked unhappy when Mary Beth called Paige. He snaps she is stuck up and wants Paige to dump him. Jen asks about Eve. JJ is convinced they are ok now. They bonded over music. Jen has her doubts. JJ suggests she give the missing royalties to Paige. Jen insists she do it on her own to spare him and Paige. JJ hugs her. Paige returns and JJ takes his girl to the square, where they are meeting to arrange a possible study group. Jen wishes them a wonderful day, and then sighs about evil Eve and her royalties check. Might as well get it over with … Hope drops off Ciara at the church school. Aiden arrives with Chase and the adults become anxious. Aiden greets Hope. Ciara boasts to Chase she is trying out for mean stepsister and Chase thinks she is a shoo-in. The bell rings. The kids scamper inside. Hope wants to go but Aiden has an admission. He was out of line the other night. Hope smiles he remembered. He gasps he was tipsy, not totally intoxicated, and is sorry. She accepts the apology and assures him they are fine. They have said all there is to say. Aiden asks if they really have and she stops. Eve escorts blondie to her apartment and hands her a 50. She gets times are tough for working girls and has a job. She knows how hard they work for the money and what it does to a girl. She asks where in the world she wants to go. Kentucky, to work on the horse farm with her cousin. Eve offers to get her there. Knock knock! Tis Jen! The girl goes in the other room. Eve opens the door and Jen proudly presents her with the check. Eve acts like she was watching a movie and closes the door. Blondie returns and they continue their conversation. Eve needs her help dealing with that witch and offers to help her as well. There is this little something … She gets them red wine and advises the girl to do as told for her two grand. Or she goes to jail! The girl agrees to do her bidding. JJ and Paige stroll through the square holding hands. A girl from his class says something friendly to him and Paige seems a tad jealous. JJ jokes they go to a school with thousands of kids now. Paige denies being jealous and JJ keeps joking. They kiss and Mary Beth interrupts. Along comes Rory, who invites his pal to the party on campus tonight. JJ agrees. Paige pouts. JJ begs her to come with so they can party together. He promises to keep things clean ... Ben’s blue t-shirt matches his blue mood. He is hurt about being Abigail’s rebound guy. She was playing it safe with him! He gets bitter about EJ being more exciting. Abi insists Ben was the better man, which is why she pushed him away. The shelves brought back memories of the tawdry time she once had with EJ. She did not want her and Ben’s moment to be ruined. They are all that is right, unlike her and EJ. She cries she does not deserve him. He places his hands around her waist and drawls he does not deserve a girl like her. She stammers and he starts to kiss her. T walks in and laughs to carry on. He had assumed they would be done in an hour. That was the plan. Bemused Ben gets back to kissing the girl of his dreams. EJ tenderly tells Samantha that Stefano cannot harm her. She goes to the window and gazes out at the garden. She gasps for now only! She should have seen it would end like this but she was not thinking of Stefano. EJ sighs he is to blame for she did what she did all because of him. They give each other a longing look, painfully aware of the peril. She sighs she too is to blame as she was lashing out to make him hurt the way she was hurting. He understands. He betrayed her love. She cries how hard it was to see the picture of him with Abigail. She lied when she said she hated him. She felt sickened and admits it was as though part of her soul had been torn away forever. He stares into her eyes with remorse as she cries. Aiden stands close to Hope and refers to their situation. Hope gets hot and bothered and tries to make light of the fact that they have already had this discussion. He repeats he is sorry, bids her good day, and steps away. Hope suddenly realizes Ciara left her book in her purse. She calls and the teacher agrees to send her out for it. Hope sits on the church steps and starts to read … Then she gets to imagining her own Cinderella story … about the waltz with Aiden … She imagines him placing the shoe she lost on her foot like the modern day prince in Cinderella. Ciara interrupts the daydream. Hope hands over her book and scolds herself for daring to dream … Abi thanks T the helper with a friendly kiss. He was glad to oblige. However, he needs Ben at the busy club. Ben will be back shortly… He holds Abi in his arms and promises something wonderful after his shift is over. She gushes she will clear her schedule and they kiss in soap bliss … Sami turns away in torment. EJ tenderly takes her by the hand. WOT kind of man, he wonders, is he to hurt the woman he loves? She whispers he is human, no more no less. She realizes she pushed him away … EJ gets down on his knees and declares he alone is to blame. Sami gasps there is more to the story for she saw today how he would sacrifice much for her. He swears he would spend the rest of his life making up for her hurt if only he could. He takes her in his arms. She swoons. Their mouths get close… and then he kisses her tenderly on the cheek. Sami weeps on his shoulder like a lost child who has finally found her way home … Paige grins and agrees to go along. JJ is thrilled. It is going to be the kind of night where anything could happen … Meanwhile Eve shows the blonde for hire the photo she took of JJ at the beach last night. He is her TARGET.
