There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Kristen the crazy kitten gets a visit from Eric, who knows via Marlena what she is asking. She wonders whether he will comply for John. He blasts her for holding back John’s cure in exchange for her freedom. She does not deny it and points out he is expected to testify against her. He notes Dan too. She thinks Dan can be discredited. Eric quietly accuses her of being a witchy woman, a pathological liar, which is why he wanted his day in court to sock it to her. She coos but he won’t, will he?! Pause. At the apartment, Will jokes to unseen baby Ari in the crib that he has a new assignment covering Salem traffic. Not so glamorous! Knock knock! Tis big Ben, seeking club paperwork from Sonny. Will explains Sonny left it for him. Will gets the silent treatment. He hopes his article did not cause problems for Abi and her new guy. Ben solemnly states he needs the papers. Will hands them over. Ben laments Sonny is a good guy but Will … How the hell could he write that stuff?! Will admits he was compelled to write the complete truth or nothing. He really regrets he messed up and hurt Abi. But has Ben never messed up? At the pub, Marlena finds Abi admiring an outfit she bought for baby Ari. She thinks it is darling and asks to discuss something with the anxious girl. Abi asks about John. Marlena is cautiously optimistic and thanks her. She realizes being with Sami’s mother and Will’s grandmother might make her uneasy, but she is worried about her! Abi gasps she is alright. Marlena lists all the hardship she has endured, culminating with EJ. Abi stops her and insists she is doing well. Then she remembers kissing Ben in the storage room, at which point she remembers being with EJ in a storage room. She whispers at least she thought she was alright and sighs. Now she fears she hurt someone she really cares about … Jordan is in her bed alone, dreaming of when she was a young girl and Clyde came to her with lust in his eyes. He crouched down as she cried and cooed she had him ta lean on. Mama had died 5 years before. She tried to run but he grabbed her arm. She wakes up with a start and texts Ben. Ben takes off from the apartment before Will the apologist can continue. Will assumes he is still the most hated person in Salem for his article. At least Arianna cannot read- yet! At the park, Clyde meets the seedy contact he blackmailed Kate into recommending. The seedy character coolly informs him someone else is ahead in the business! Clyde curses and wants to meet him. He offers to make it well worth Carlos’ while … At the morose mansion, Sami would rather eat breakfast alone in the living room. Kate remains regardless, awaiting her attorney’s call. Stefano calls instead with a hearty hello for Katarrrrrina in Italian. Kate motions to Sami, who screams to hang up. Stefano laughs and claims only to wish her the best on what will be a beautiful day in Salem. The games are OVERRRRRRRRR! Ciao. Click! Kate repeats what he said to ponytail Sami, who complains about his emergency board meeting, which must be to get rid of them as co-CEOs. Sami argues they impressed the board and should show up to state their case. Kate sighs if Stefano is coming to town, there are scarier things to worry about than the board! Rafe has been summoned to the town gate by EJ. What the hell does he want now! Suited EJ suavely states he has something helpful. This must be between them only. He is entrusting him. Rafe wants to know the catch. Just a promise he will properly use the big reveal. He hands him a document to help him get the decision he wants against Stefano. He gathers the court date on those tax evasion charges is here. Rafe reads it with a smirk but does not understand the numbers. EJ insists those numbers will rule against his fatha. Rafe suspects he is out to neutralize him. EJ suggests the Salem PD do their due diligence. Those very numbers indicate fatha diverted his money with shadow companies, to avoid the taxman. Rafe suspects this is for Sami. EJ insists Rafe not tell her as she has no idea. Rafe realizes he is protecting HER form the wrath of Stefano. EJ has no answer to that and decides their discussion is done ... Sami tries to be upbeat but Kate wants to counter-attack Stefano’s unknown attack. She knows Stefano is the master of revenge and tells Sami to brace herself. They will not even see him coming! Sami grimaces, then nervously gets some tea. If Stefano wanted them dead, they would be deader than dead by now! Kate reminds her sometimes there is a fate worse than death … Sami would rather not think of it. Kate warns her Stefano is like that. He sets his enemies up with something worse than their worst nightmares … Ben meets jumpy Jordan at the club and she cries about Clyde ruining her life by coming to town. Ben believes they will be fine. Jordan sadly states nothing will be the same with Clyde in Salem and he knows it! After she admits to pushing Ben away, Marlena advises Abi to do some soul searching and then speak with him. Abi agrees. She does not want to lose him! Just then EJ enters the pub and stares at the girl. Marlena turns around. Abigail hastily excuses herself. EJ asks Marlena whether Abi is alright. Marlena hisses he has lost his mind if he actually thinks she would discuss Abi’s candid conversation with him! EJ understands but insists he does have feelings. He cares about Marlena’s daughta, the family, and asks if there has been any change in John. Mad Marlena walks away without a word … Eric leers here are HIS conditions for Kristen. He will sign nothing, nor will he agree to anything until John is administered the miracle drug and is awake. Kristen has no choice but to agree and adds she is sorry. Eerie music plays as Eric glares at her with loathing. The devil with the blue dress primly pauses. The fallen father gets sarcastic. She notes he has changed. He snaps she never knew him. She begs to differ and reminds him of precana and the other church gatherings. He was truly a man of God but that was then this is now and she thinks she knows the real reason. NICOLE. Eric gasps to stop. Kristen calls it tragic that she made him bitter. Eric angrily blinks and walks out. Kristen is elated she irked him and got her deal. Two for the price of one! Rafe is on his phone in his office, explaining he has new information. There are numbers he needs checked before the DiMera hearing. Kate and Sami flounce in and want to know all about that hearing. Will is astounded when Abigail appears with a gift for Ari. It is greatly appreciated. She haughtily explains she came to see her goddaughter in spite of who her father is. Ben feels the best way to deal with Clyde is not to acknowledge him. He wonders why his sister is so stressed. She flashes back to the time Clyde came to her in the woods and grabbed her. She cries and brother Ben asks her to share what happened. No luck. Ben assumes it is a strange manifestation of stress … Meanwhile Clyde is in the park, the seedy contact having informed him he will soon get a call … Marlena is at the side of the Salem patient. She tells him the tale of how his fate rests in Kristen’s hands. A sound … She turns around and finds Eric standing in the doorway. Piano music plays in the background. Eric regrets his reluctance and announces he agreed to do as Kristen asked. Marlena hugs him in gratitude and hopes the drug is true, that she will be able to tell John how much he means to her when he comes back … Abi asks Will why he never informed her that the editor put her name in the article, not him. Will admits it still would have been easy to figure out anyway, and for that he is to blame. Abigail admits he is not so horrible but he is a jerk. Will now sighs Ben came by but did not mention her once. Are they alright? She flips her hair, slightly stressed. He thanks her for bringing his daughter the floral dress. She points out she loves her goddaughter and will be back soon. She can work out the time with ... Sonny! EJ is at the pub, working his phone He promises his plant they will be compensated and learns the hour of Stefano’s hearing He now gets an unexpected call about a name he does not recognize. Check him out! Dangerous music plays, EJ frowns and walks out… Rafe reasons it will not be easy getting the goods on Stefano with his fleet of lawyers. Sami snaps they have to do something! Kate dramatically declares what if Stefano threatened her life? Rafe questions that. All of a sudden, Kate has a witness - SAMI … Back in John’s room, Eric worries about his mother. She assures him she is not expecting perfect results though she hopes Kristen is being sincere. Eric knows not and thinks they should pray… Stefano is on the phone with Kristen. They will both be free and see one another soon! She explains she needs the drug quickly. He warns her to remember it is untried. She knows but it has to work! … Jordan sits in the park and cries Ben is right, they cannot let creepy Clyde win. She holds an old photograph close to her heart… Ben is busy with bills at the club and blows off Abi. She follows him outside and wants to explain what happened. He snaps she still only has eyes for EJ and that is why she pushed him away … EJ walks through the park like he owns the place and comes upon Clyde. The crook calls it an honor and extends his hand to the most powerful player in Salem’s drug trade …! THE END |
