There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the club, Rafe, Sonny and Will are back from a friendly game of basketball. Ben was working as he wanted the hours. Will gets a text and steps away. So does Sonny. Rafe informs Ben of his latest attempt to talk to Jordan. Ben notes she does not want to be hurt again. Rafe is ready to throw in the towel. Meanwhile, Sonny informs Will that Chad is not at the club much, unless he is looking for a fight. Will says to cut him slack but Sonny sighs his business partner has changed big time … Kate meets Chad at the town square café and he updates her on his candid convo with Stefano. She is shocked when he adds he also told him how he suggested he and Kate bring father down! It is part of the plan, he says. She wants to know whose side he really is on. He wonders what she thinks. Kate makes it clear she does not like games. He assures her that HE is in control and he happens to hate his father. Kate questions why. Because he went back to his wicked ways. In addition, he did not even pretend to care when EJ stomped on his feelings by sleeping with Abigail. Instead of showing some sympathy, all he wanted was to use him as a pawn to get close to EJ. He explains Stefano sent him on a mission to go after Sami as well as Kate! She cocks her head and takes it all in. Abi has Jordan over at the Wilson apartment as she babysits baby Ari. Jordan admires the baby as Abi brings up Rafe. Jordan laments she cannot let go of the image of him in bed with Kate. Abi notes the bad feelings are normal, unlike the once more reconciled Sami and EJ! Jordan wonders whether they have got it right but Abi believes Jordan and Rafe are the real deal, unlike Salem’s wildest makeup breakup couple … At the mansion, the rowdy kids gather round Sami, back from camp. Jumpy Johnny wants to see daddy. Sami checks Ali’s poison ivy. Lucas grimaces in the background. Sydney is excited about her canoe ride. Sami sends the three children to the kitchen for some real food before school. Lucas now blasts Sami for getting back together with EJ. It is always the same – she wants to kill him and then they get back together! She tries to explain but Lucas is not listening to the flip-flop queen. She accuses him of sounding just like Kate. He quips in this case, that is a compliment! He warns her of the wrath of Stefano. Lucas laughs aloud when Sami suggests EJ will protect her from Stefano. Lucas now blasts her for leaving Kate in a vulnerable position. Sami suggests she accept her and EJ as a team. Even Roman and Marlena gave their blessing. She implores Lucas to bless their union too. Lucas is utterly disgusted and refuses. Next time EJ hurts her, she is on her own! EJ and his silent thug meet Clyde in the park. He has a bag of cash to mark the start of their sinister association. EJ glares at the country crook with suspicion. Clyde is grinning from ear to ear, mighty proud. All there as promised. EJ decides they are done for the day. Clyde boldly stops him, stating they could do even better business. There is one area with amateurs they could easily get rid of. It would double and triple their profit to expand their territory. EJ snaps Salem is his town! No expansion. Clyde argues about the big cash. EJ warns him not to overstep. WOT part of their relationship is not clear! He gives him a murderous stare. He does the thinking and Clyde follows orders. He may only expand into the parts of town EJ’s family does NOT frequent. Clyde plays along. But after EJ and his thug go, he calls a certain someone to set up a meetin … As baristo Ben polishes glasses, he admits he was surprised Rafe cheated on his sister and would not wish him luck getting her back. Rafe decides to take his leave. Will wonders whether he and Sonny have matured, which is what makes Chad seem different. They discuss their Halloween costumes. Ben finds out from their chatter that Abi is looking after Ari as they speak and admitted she wants tons of kids. Ben blurts out she is AMAZING. Back at the apartment, Abi updates Jordan on her nocturnal picnic at the park with Ben. She asks how things fare with step daddy Clyde. Jordan gets strangely silent and notes not good. It is complex. She excuses herself to see to a patient and takes off with a strained smile … Kate insists Stefano will not triumph. Chad echoes the sentiment. He just wants him to believe he is on his side. Kate the cat questions whose side he is actually on. Chad does his damnedest to convince her. He wants Stefano on the sidelines for good and promises to be her faithful friend. Naturally he is after his share of the empire, plus he wants Sami and EJ and Stefano cut out! Upon mention of Sami, Kate decides she liiiiikes his plan. They toast with their orange juice and she tells tiger boy to go get 'em! She then zips up her designer handbag and promises to see him at dinner. The game is afoot! Clyde comes around the corner and spies the scheming pair together. He catches up with Kate at the town gate and announces he wants to spend more time with her. Back at the square, frazzled Jordan drops the contents of her purse. Chad hands her a tube back and notes her hands are trembling. Has that creep been bugging her again? She gasps no. He offers her some tea. She says no thanks. He pretends to hold his sore tennis elbow. The concerned therapist wants to have a look and they sit down. She takes his arm and moves it back and forth. Odd. Chad charmingly confesses he made the ailment up and offers to make it up to her with that cup of tea. She now blushes and agrees. Will and Sonny tease Ben for his telling comment on the amazing Abigail … Lucas drops by the Wilson apartment, where Abigail is babysitting. She informs him the princess is fast asleep in her room. He asks about the family. They are all good. He notes the color in her cheeks and she jokes being unemployed has its benefits. Lucas is relieved she forgave Will but she explains things are still not great between them despite her willingness to babysit for her goddaughter. She goes on to refer to Will as a JERK for what he did. Lucas sighs. He explains Will had no idea her name would be included and he feels terrible. Abi calls Lucas the forgiving father. He reasons no one is perfect. Abi admits she herself is far from it. Will now returns to the apartment. Abi updates him on the angel. Will wants her to know his next article is about Chad. Pause. He assures her he will not let Chad trash talk her and he has final approval this time. She scoffs and claims not to care. He wonders whether she is off to see Ben. He called her amazing and he meant it. Lucas agrees he must have. Abigail primly departs. Lucas assures his son she will come around after the article with Chad. He assumes that offer was from Zoe too and admits to the run-in they had. He still has his doubts about Will working for her. Will insists he covered himself this time ... Kate coos is Clyde stalking her? He lets her know he saw her with that DiMera fella and would hate for there to be a competition. Kate enlightens him on Chad the good son being different from EJ the prodigal son. Life would be grand without EJ around … Before he enters the mansion, EJ is on his phone with his lawyer, to pay those back taxes and penalties before it all goes to trial. He is counting on a deal! He now elegantly enters the mansion in his suit and pink shirt and smiles at the scene. The children gather round Sami, asking her about her new ring. Johnny loves they are double or triple married. They spy daddy and run to him for a hug. EJ hugs his kids back and smiles at Samantha, a twinkle in his eye. The kids present them with a picture of them all together. Sami calls their kids the perfect gift. Family hug! Ben is calling hotels for one night, only to find out how costly they are. Sonny wonders when Chad last came in. Yesterday. Sonny realizes Ben did not believe his apology and fumes about his silent partner. Ben promises to be around to pick up the slack, then slyly suggests Sonny include him in the next game of basketball Chad plays. He seems to want an excuse to flatten him … Meanwhile Chad and Jordan walk and talk with their respective ice teas. He talks tennis elbow and she laughs. Rafe comes around the corner and notices the now seated happy pair together. He stops in his tormented tracks. He then greets Chad like an old friend. Chad is friendly and goes on his way. Jordan tries to excuse herself. First Rafe wants a moment. There is something about Chad … He warns her he acts like a nice guy but still he is a DiMera. She snaps she knows Stefano is a bad man but would never judge someone by his father. She judges people by how they treat others. She walks off and Rafe gets even more worried ... Clyde coyly claims to be the best match for Kate. Together they could rule this whole town! He kisses her hand, murmurs to think about it, and departs. Kate considers … Sami wants the kids to go to school. EJ is expecting a phone call from Shin. Sami ushers the kids out the front door. Someone unseen is lurking behind the bushes and waits for the family to go. EJ remains home alone, except for the butler ... Abi comes into the club for a coffee and kisses Ben. Sonny teases he said she is amaaaazing. She gushes she has a job interview. Ben drawls afterwards they can celebrate together alone. He has something planned. She kisses him again and flirtily flounces off with the coffee in hand. Chad is outside the pub, updating Stefano on his phone. He boasts Kate wants to believe everything he tells her! Mafioso Stefano laughs to tell her the phoenix flies to Frankfurt tomorrow. She will understand the meaning. Then he ends the call. Chad the cad mutters the laughing old man will never hear him coming … Sami and Kate meet at the park. Kate asks about the tension in the house for the kids. Sami refuses to let her ruin her happiness and walks off. Nearby Clyde has a clandestine meeting with EJ’s thug and makes him an offer. He could convince his boss to play or perhaps there is another way … EJ ends his call with Shin and goes upstairs. Someone is knocking on his door. He calls out to the butler he will take it and opens the DiMera door, shocked by the sight of MOTHA. Crazy Susan Bank stares at him through her thick glasses and makes a funny face, smiling up at her little Elvis … THE END! AHEAD ON DAYS: Susan is in fiiiiiiiiiine form! |
