There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Glam Kate glides down the DiMera staircase. Sami, woman in black and white, wants to discuss a certain DiMera - EJ! Kate realizes she went to bed with the bastardo! What a fool she was! Sami wants to follow her heart. Kate quips about the wrong anatomy. Sami calls her bitter. Kate quips her storybook romance hero still seduced the bridesmaid. She suggests Sami the wannabe corporate queen is merely the simpering slave of a villain. She was duped by the DiMera yet again. Like father like son and all he wants is his power and money back. Sami denies it is an act. Kate scoffs and storms out … At the park, Abi leaves Jen a phone message about the great chicken. EJ appears and stops her for a word. Abi and her picnic basket have nothing to discuss. EJ is pleased to see her happy again and says so. She realizes he has been jewelry shopping for Sami and refers to her as a total beech. He repeats she is happy, as he is, and he could not be happier for the both of them! She gets sarcastic about Sami’s sincerity. He thinks he is lucky and brings up Ben. Abigail hisses her life is off limits. He politely states he cares about her and boldly brings up Chad. She stops him and rages to keep walking next time he sees her. Then she turns and clicks away with her big picnic basket. EJ glances at his watch. At the club, clean shaven cleaned up Clyde teases working baristo Ben for not recognizing daddy! Ben calls him Johnny Cash. Clyde gushes he has a date with someone special. Ben is sympathetic toward the lady. Clyde claims the lady is tough enough to look after herself. He is just here to make certain he gave that cash to his sister. Chad steps up and drawls so that is where the cash came from! The two men introduce themselves. Chad praises his boy Ben. Clyde claims he will not disappoint him, thanks his son for the favor, and departs. Chad decides he might owe Ben apology number two but Ben is not interested ... At the square, Chase was unable to get the costume he wanted and tells daddy he gets out of class early tomorrow. Aiden has a date! Chase is curious. Aiden assures him no worries, it is but a lunch and he will always come first. He tells him to keep enjoying that ice cream and they will try and get him that zombie hunter costume. Meanwhile at the pub, Caroline demands to know why this now! Why divorce Bo! Hope gasps it has been two years. Caroline cannot change her mind. She sighs she is sorry. Caroline gets choked up. She will always be her daughter regardless … Theresa is about to inject John’s IV when his eyes fly open and he gasps her name. She almost drops the needle in a tizzy. She puts away the needle and stammers when Brady returns. John breathily explains he was just saying hello. Brady notes he remembers her. John gives her a look and says sure, why not! Theresa is ready to faint. Brady puts the warm blue blanket on his father. John explains he met Theresa last night … at her apartment and when he returned … Brady tells him to sleep. The Salem patient gets agitated and wants answers about why he was brought here to the hospital. Maxine enters with a sedative. John wants answers, not sleep. Maxine gently tells him they are taking good care of him. It is all he needs to know at the moment. Theresa breathes a sigh of relief. Once outside the room, Maxine warns Brady that John will have more questions. Brady goes to call Marlena with the update. Standing alone, Theresa muses his memories of that night are nonexistent! Brady comes back. Daniel has not come to see John yet. Brady complains that his dad has lost months and will want to fill in the gaps. Theresa tells him not to tell him about the night he was attacked. It would be best for both of them! She bats her eyes. Outside the romantic restaurant, man in black Clyde is elated when diva Kate, woman in satin, appears like a vision in the night. He smiles as any man would and compliments her. Aiden approaches Hope at the pub, hoping they are still on for tomorrow. He nervously admits he is out of practice with dates. Caroline blanches upon hearing the D word. Hope sighs and ushers Aiden out. Caroline blasts her for making no mention of wanting to be free to date that man. Hope is confused herself and confesses as much. But she would still want to divorce Bo and asks Caroline to support her ... Abigail enters the club with her picnic basket as Chad reasons to Ben he is friends with two of his closest peeps. Ben gives him the cold shoulder and steps away. He will be with Abi in a moment. Abi asks about Chad bothering Ben. Chad denies it and explains Clyde had given him the money for his sister. Abi quips that’s that and joins Ben. They depart together. Chad tries to make sense of it all, sensing something is off … Clyde wines and dines Kate and proudly shows her the fortune from his fortune cookie, about a beautiful mysterious stranger changing his life. The next day she came a lookin for him and now here they are! She did indeed change his life. She purrs this is all about his fortune? He drawls he is actually wining and dining her to SEDUCE HER and raises his wine glass. Meanwhile at the mansion, suited EJ has given Harold the night off and now surprises Samantha with a gift bag, flowers and candlelight. He has his ring box and now gives her hers, after removing their rings. Flashy new rings for a new beginning. He now gets down on a knee and asks her to marry him for the last time! She laughs they are married already. He remains on his knees and notes the last time should have the memory replaced with the perfect wedding, just for the two of them. He wants her to know she is the ONLY woman he needs. She says yes and he twirls her around. Then he dips her in a movie style kiss. She was always the one for him! She gets glib. He brings up their deceit with the immigration officer once upon a time, musing if they had married and settled down then .. She toasts her glass of expensive champagne with him and notes then they would not be at this point. He feels this is a good place to be indeed and puts down their glasses. Then he takes her hand, vowing to be her romantic hero, her everything, and slips the costly ring on her finger. Sami cries. He gallantly adds for NOW AND FOREVA. She is more than his heartbeat. EJ now produces a letter she wrote him from prison. He will never risk their love again and will work to prove himself to her every day. Sami cries to stop, she cannot let him. EJ had not been expecting this reaction … Ben and Abigail enjoy their picnic at the park. He kisses his girl and calls it a beautiful night. She notes he was tense with Chad. He would rather not discuss but she does not want him to lose his job on account of her. Ben grimaces. Abi points out Chad was trying to make nice before. Ben repeats he does not trust him. That guy is no different than EJ and he wants nothing to do with the dastardly DiMeras who have hurt her. Abigail smiles and kisses him sweetly … Elsewhere in the dark Salem night, Chad has a phone call and suspects father is checking up on him. A frown creases the brow of the phoenix, who drawls it is a father’s prerogative. He asks how things fare in Salem. Chad replies things are going exactly the way they predicted they would …! Kate starts to turn down Clyde, who coos he meant he wanted to seduce Kate to be a team with him in business. Kate questions his power. If they teamed up, she could not imagine the nature of their professional relationship. She waits for his response. At their club table, Brady tells Theresa he would rather not lie to his da. Theresa thinks the terrible night should be withheld from John until he is better. Brady becomes suspicious. She claims to have her reasons. That fight was about her so she is partly to blame! She cries she almost cost him his father and she cares about him still. She reaches for his hand over the table. Brady blinks. Clyde and Kate receive their main course. He would rather discuss details later. She asks if he would be willing to invest. He mentions going all in and cuts her off again, repeating they can talk business later. Kate smiles and observes him with her keen cat eyes. Nothing escapes her. At the pub, Caroline has harsh words for Hope. She cannot support her with this and storms off. Hope hangs her head and walks out in tears. Aiden awaits with an apology. If she has changed her mind ... She has not and promises to see him tomorrow. He is looking forward to their lunch so until tomorrow … Stefano asks about EJ. He and Chad are still at odds. Chad now assures him Kate believed what they wanted her to, that he wanted to team up with her against Stefano. Stefano solemnly reminds him she is not stupid. But charming Chad insists she fell for it … Kate lets Clyde know she will consider his offer. He promises to respect whatever it is. It was a wonderful evening. He covers her hand with his and calls this the beginning of a beautiful friendship. She goes and he stands up like a gentleman ... Ben and Abi kiss by the bench. Ben slows down cos this is a public place. She catches her breath. He wants her something wicked but the room he rents does not permit overnight guests. She herself has a room at Horton house and realizes they need a plan. He promises to think of something and they stargaze … EJ starts to stammer but Sami states it is her turn to speak. She notes they hurt each other but they can and will go forward. After all, they were stubborn enough to get to this now. Nothing is stronger than what they share. What they have is UNBREAKABLE not to mention irreplaceable. She places his ring on his finger and repeats what she wrote in her letter. She cannot breathe without him or sleep without his heartbeat. Their love is always and forever. They gaze into each others’ eyes and he dips her in another romantic Hollywood kiss … Brady has his hand back as he observes Theresa across their club table. He suggests they learn from what happened that night and says see ya. Then he goes. Theresa tells herself Brady was impressed. Everything will be fine, so long as John’s memories do not return … Meanwhile sleeping John remembers. He remembers approaching boozing belligerent Brady that night … It is all fuzzy … Nurse Maxine wakes him up, worried about his heart rate. He admits he was having a dream, but remembers nothing about it except that it was something very BAD. Eerie music plays ...! THE END AHEAD ON DAYS: Here comes Susan! Clyde reports ... |
