ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Link Only! THE NEW LOON! Thursday, September 24, 2015 Episode 12,683 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... In her dark office Marlena fights for her life ... Chad exits the elevator on his way to her office ... Chad comes in and the killer bolts, still masked ... Chad bends over Marlena, who is out cold on the floor but thankfully alive ... Chad gently wakes Marlena up and assures her she is alright. Marlena's eyes widen in horror and she gasps YOUUUUUUUUU ... Clyde runs into Jen at the park, out of breath. He pants and points out he has a list of wedding venues on his phone. He sits down to show her. Jen suggests they let the kids do their own planning and lets it slip she suspects Clyde might not even be able to attend the wedding! Clyde wonders what she meant by that. Ponytail Jen stares back at him and suggests the kids might elope or come up with another plan. After all, Abigail is s tough cookie who knows her own mind ... Abigail is at the apartment on her computer, stressing over her situation with Ben. She looks at the box he carved for her once upon a time and remembers the good and the bad about Ben, whom she believes to be the father of her baby ... Ben returns and snaps he already said their engagement was off. Abigail implores him to believe her that she loves him, Chad is the past. He scowls he saw Chad touch her. Abigail cries she wants them to be a family with their baby. Ben tells her to prove it and leave Salem with him tonight, never look back ... Chad takes off, terrified he is about to be wrongly accused. Unfortunately, he had touched the red tie the strangler used when he found Marlena so his DNA is already there. He races all the way back to DiMera mansion, gets what he needs out of the safe, and gets going ... Rafe is on his way to talk to Marlena when he sees the open door and finds her near the telltale necktie. He calls for backup after getting a pulse plus medical assistance and shouts for HELP ... Dan tends to Marlena, who is now in a hospital bed. John her hero comes running with worry for the woman he loves. Dan assures him she will be alright but it was a close call. Luckily she will only be left with a headache and sore throat from the strangulation attempt. John grumbles he is gonna kill the son of a bitch and gives his sleeping beauty a kiss. Rafe appears and Dan confirms the crazed person who did this came real close to killing her ... Marlena opens her eyes to John. Dan asks her a few questions to test her memory. She notes nice try when he asks her age. Marlena is back! She calls John's name and he tenderly tells her he is here. She gasps she saw her attacker's face and it was Chad. Dan and Rafe do a double-take ... Moments later John races out to catch killer Chad himself. Rafe stops him insisting he let him do this by the book instead of taking justice in his own hands. He needs to get proof if Chad is the killer. John agrees only if they team up to do it together. Detective Rafe agrees to do it with ISA John. He wants the charge to stick, whoever the killer is ... Clyde has an odd look in his eye when he informs Jen that when things unravel only he can make it better. Jen is spooked by the nearness of the sinister one and stares as he strokes her hand, murmuring he is lookin forward to gettin to know her after the wedding. Jen has no answer but shakes out her hand in revulsion once he has gone ... Abigail woefully explains she needs time to tell the family but agrees to leave forever with Ben tomorrow. He accepts that and kisses her. Abigail appears distraught ... Dan assures Marlena she will be safe here. There are cops outside the door and John. Marlena suspects John could go after Chad ... Rafe has updated John on why Chad will not go far - he has put out an APB, sent a swat team to the mansion, and has state troopers on high alert. Chad DiMera will not get far ... Jen is a nervous wreck by the time she returns to Horton house. She is surprised to see stressed Abigail waiting. Abigail is sorry but she has to leave Salem tomorrow for personal reasons, with Ben. They will not have a Salem wedding. Jen is worried about her daughter but Abigail assures her she has to do this for the sake of their family. She will tell JJ too. They share an emotional embrace ... Meanwhile Clyde comes to see Ben at the apartment. He gets angry about his boy's plans and tells him he is going nowhere. When Ben hands him back the house keys, he shoves them right back. Ben is belligerent. Clyde warns him that Chad could follow them. Ben doesn't blink and boasts he would kill him. Clyde stammers he was suggesting the memory of Chad would be with them is all. He urges his son to stay and watch Chad go down in flames. The cops have an APB on him so his destruction is imminent. Ben won! Ben keeps the house keys and decides to stay after all ... Jen looks to the heavens and asks God to keep the kids safe. She also wants Clyde the dangerous criminal sent to prison ... Chad has texted Abigail to meet him down at the docks. This is his last goodbye. He laments he was left looking like the one who tried to kill Marlena tonight and explains what happened. No one will believe him now! She urges him to go to the police and explain. Chad disagrees and blurts out he wants her to know he loves her ... Dan calms Marlena again and she drifts off into sleep. She is confused by images of the killer and then seems to see Dan back in her room. She is relieved ... Chad explains he does not want to get Abi involved. She thinks she already is involved and takes him to the Horton cabin to hide until he can prove his innocence. He warns her to stay away from him and she sadly states she leaves with Ben tomorrow so this is goodbye. Then she goes ... Jen convinces herself that with Clyde behind bars the kids will all be safe. And Abigail will be protected by Ben ... Home alone, Ben solemnly stares at the TV News report on Marlena's attack, the hunt for Chad ... He then coldly gets out a box from under his bed and takes out a smaller box. It contains red neckties, black gloves, and the black mask of the necktie killer. He shoves it all in a garbage bag and takes it down to the docks, throwing it into the river, his face as stony as a KILLER! THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: ANDRE! |
