Hope and Rafe are working together at the station. They stare at the suspects and clues board. Rafe cannot shake the feeling that Chad the man with no alibi is innocent ... At the apartment devastated Eve is assisted by Theresa, who sadly tells her she arranged to have Paige's clothes picked up by the women's shelter where her daughter did volunteer work. NOT the Horton center. Eve is grateful. Knock knock! Tis a man with a grizzled beard, a tired look in his eye. Theresa assumes he is the clothing pickup. Not exactly. Tis none other than Eduardo, the ex husband who happens to be Paige's father. Eve snaps what is he doing here after 10 years and suggests Theresa take off ... At the old Martin mansion glam Julie does not approve of all the renovations. There are also timeline concerns. Maggie smoothly suggests they have a look at the ballroom. Caroline ends up standing alone and hears the music box again ... Kayla is with son Joey at the hospital, exasperated her son attacked a former friend at public school and got suspended already. She suspects it may have been an attempt to get attention from his wayward father. Joey is sullen and takes off, telling her to take care of that new medical emergency she just got buzzed about ... Cool dude Steve stands before Victor at the house of Kiriakis. He updates him on Bo's last steps, seeking to understand where he went after he left Caroline in California. The Greek grumbles to mind his own business ... Far away prisoner Bo is regaining his strength. He stops his pushups when the guard approaches and pretends to be asleep, in bad shape. The guard leaves his food tray, musing it must be almost too late for him ... Steve shows Victor what he has to make him realize he is right to retrace Bo's steps cos something is not right. The last surveillance camera that captured Bo was in Cancun, with a blonde woman with a dagger tattoo. Tis Britta from the old days but it cannot be the real Britta, who died years ago! He noticed how Bo played along with the imposter. Foul play must have followed. Victor is irate the ISA abandoned his son, sealing his files so even ISA John had no access ... Eve is incensed at Eduardo who was not around for all those years. Where was he when they needed him! Eduardo softly states he is here for her now if she needs him. Eve gets even angrier ... Rafe and Hope agree they have to make sure the right person is arrested ... Julie and Maggie appear and the music box stops. Caroline is frazzled. She heads for the ornate mirror alone. The music box grows louder. She looks in the mirror, turns, then turns back again. There is the apparition of her late husband Shawn ... Joey has decided to go find his father. Being his son he should be able to track him down ... Eve wants Eduardo to go away. He hangs his head in sorrow and states his sorry case. He knew Paige was an angel and that is why he had to stay away. He was not worthy ... Eve blasts him for not being there and shoves a box of old photos and diaries at him so he can see what he lost ... Rafe realizes there is a shadow on one of the photographs. They will have forensics enlarge it, make it more clear. Hope now gets a call from the wedding florist. Rafe appears increasingly uneasy as she updates him on her wedding day. She questions whether he is happy for her when he brings up Bo. Rafe smoothly states he is and refers to Aiden as a good guy ... At the club, Aiden is at a table, trying to forge the DiMera signature he needs to use the blank DiMera check he stole. So far not so good ... Victor explains to Steve that Bo left California on a quest to save his ailing mother ... The apparition of Shawn is silent. Caroline asks him if he is here to get her ready for the other side ... To make matters worse for Aiden, his credit card is declined at the club and he must pay from the last amount of cash he has in his wallet. Desperate times call for desperate measures. He picks up his briefcase and gets going, his eyes filled with steely determination ... Hope pleasantly asks Rafe how Gabi fares. He gushes she is getting reacquainted with Ari after all this time. Hope smiles he has his family back and stands close. Rafe gets uncomfortable and excuses himself to return to the scene of the crime. Hope wants to come with but he turns her down ...Victor explains Caroline in reality has a rare neurological disease which mimics Alzheimer's. Bo, he adds, went off to find a cure. There was a certain Dr. Salinas in Peru, who has been doing botanical research for a natural remedy. The Greek growls he has been giving him money but no luck yet ... At the Martin mansion, Maggie sighs to Julie she will oversee the music instead of Caroline, who is not quite herself ... Caroline cries to the apparition in the mirror that she feels herself worsening. The image of her late husband has disappeared by the time Maggie and Julie find the frazzled matriarch. Maggie leads her to the hospital for a checkup to err on the side of caution ... Patchman is good to go when Victor informs him the plane has been fully fueled. He hopes he brings Bo back on it ... As Steve exits, Maggie enters and wonders. Victor grimaces Bo could be in trouble. She takes his hand and tenderly updates him on Caroline ... Kayla gives her mother a clean bill of health but the matriarch asks why she keeps seeing an apparition of her late husband ... Eduardo gets emotional over a picture of baby Paige. Eve snaps to take the whole box and get out ... Kayla confirms things are progressing. Caroline knows that means her condition is worsening. Kayla vows to fight it with her ... Maggie laments the Alzheimer's is making it impossible for Caroline to keep her independence. Victor now confides that she has a neurological condition that mimics Alzheimer's. It is rare and he has a Dr. Salinas working to find a cure. Bo was involved as well. The redhead is rather hurt he did not take her into his confidence all this time ... Eduardo is filled with remorse and offers to help Eve. She suggests he call Stanford, to tell them to stop writing cos their daughter will NEVER be able to go now. He agrees and she has a meltdown, hitting him with her fists. Eduardo hugs her and she cries on his shoulder. They cry together ... Hope is aghast when Aiden walks in looking at the suspect and clues board. She hastily covers it and he teases it is only circumstantial evidence and his client Chad is innocent. She teases may the best man win. He grins he already got the win and gives her a kiss ... Left alone in the dark with the tray of food, Bo eats the grub that is helping him grow stronger by the day. Then he tugs at his chain on the wall ... Meanwhile Steve gets ready for takeoff ... Rafe is on a cop call when he spies a familiar face at the square. He demands to know what the hell his dad is doing in Salem ... Once in the air on the Kiriakis jet, Steve is ready for his mission. But he hears a sound and stands up to investigate. He opens a door and comes face to face with his stowaway son ... THE END! |
