There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the mansion, Sami and EJ make a dramatic deal to listen to their hearts from this moment on, without any outside interference. He nervously wonders wot her heart is telling her about them now… He assures her he will thwart Stefano in his latest plot to do anything against her. Sami thanks him for being on her and Kate’s side. He sweetly stresses he is always here for HER. He will always regret what he did but Samantha has had his heart since the day they met and always will. He murmurs her name - until his phone rings. The mysterious meeting is ON. EJ excuses himself and assures the woman he loves he was sincere about wanting to win her back. He is asking for one chance to prove himself. He comes up behind her, whispers in her ear he will not push, kisses her cheek. Sami is breathless. Before he goes, he praises her for taking on the phoenix and marvels she is the one who will be able to win against Stefano! Then he goes to deal with the darker side of his life, though Sami has no idea … At the square, Abi stares at her text from Ben, her new boyfriend, who is almost finished at the club. She smiles and texts she will see him shortly. At the club. Ben grins too … until he finds himself face to face with Clyde, who wants to know about his boy, not the coffee! Clyde gets a text that distracts him and assures his angry son he is a different man. Belligerent Ben is on Jordan’s side. She saved him from the clutches of Clyde as a kid! Clyde gets candid. Jordan saved him from himself, too... Dan has seen enough. He declares to Kayla the time has come to bring Brady on board … Theresa watches Brady through the hospital room window as he watches sleeping John. She runs into Anne and gasps why is John still here?! Anne assures her the administration is in the works and realizes how frightened she is. Theresa stammers about that fateful night, the fact that she needs to get Brady on her side by being supposedly scared of Kristen. Brady emerges and she wants a word. He folds his arms. She says please and so they walk off to talk. But just when Theresa is about to have her say, Dan calls him for a clandestine meeting at his apartment. Brady agrees he will go. Theresa wonders where. He claims it is a company crisis. She will wait with what she wanted to say and curses when he goes on his way... Kristen gets catty with Marlena at the square for staying away from John just when he has the drug that could revive him! Kayla and Dan have it as they speak. Marlena is clearly surprised and Kristen revels and rubs it in. Marlena suggests Dan and Kayla might have turned down her drug and Eric might testify against her so they both have something to be anxious about! Kristen states Stefano’s well paid researchers were right. Marlena reminds her of her wrongdoings. Kristen reminds her she was the one who ruined her and Brady’s happiness so she is more destructive than her. Doc doubts it. Kristen gushes at least she can give him his father back and taunts Marlena treated John terribly … Will has his pretty baby on his lap and shows her pics of Johnny and Sydney. He decides to send a package of cookies to the kids camp. He would like to send a pic of Ari also and decides to go get the address. He gushes he knows who to get it from and wants Ari to come with him … Will goes all the way to the mansion, asking Sami for the kids camp address. He wants to send cookies. She curtly states he could have asked her in a text. Her son sorrowfully states her granddaughter missed her. She muses he is pulling out the big guns. Will does not deny it and charmingly hopes it is working. Sami softens ... Abi arrives at the club so Clyde excuses himself, after informing Ben he is still in Salem to stay for his keeeeeds. Ben takes a deep breath and Abi wonders. Ben only wants to be with her, block out the rest of the world. She is all for it. He charmingly kisses her hand. At Dan’s apartment, the doc and his boss doc Kayla debate the miracle drug. Dan worries this could be an opening for Kristen to draw Brady back in. He suspects he would not survive it … At the square, Marlena accuses Kristen of having a Brady agenda … Brady arrives at Dan’s place and realizes Kayla is present in a professional capacity. He deduces it is about John. Dan does not deny it. This is BIG! They update him on the experimental drug that could bring John out of his cruel coma. Brady is baffled the specialists knew nothing about it. Dan explains how it works and Kayla simplifies. There is no risk of worsening John’s state. They seek his approval to act. Brady gasps they should have shared this sooner. They had to check it out … Dan now drops a bombshell. The miracle drug that could be John’s salvation came from KRISTEN.! Drums play. They are as loud as the ones in Brady’s head … At the hospital, handsome oblivious John sleeps on … Anne joins Theresa and she complains about Brady bolting. Anne advises her to watch it with Kristen if she really threatened to throw her in the river. Theresa the terrible gets shrill. Anne advises her to seek Brady’s protection in a more inspiring atmosphere. Theresa decides where to go for that mood … Kristen dares Marlena to let John linger in his coma and slowly die. Marlena warns if she is trying to get revenge with false hope for Brady, she will surely pay! And then she goes. Kristen sighs Dan does not seem to have told her anything. It makes her nervous. She turns to go and runs into EJ, who smiles a sarcastic smile. She mentions Jack the Ripper and he muses she could handle him too. He would rather not speak to the woman who drugged and accosted a priest and says so. Kristen taunts she happens to have Stefano the great and powerful patriarch on her side. EJ chuckles when she boasts things are getting better for her. Then he starts to worry. He suspiciously wonders wot she has done this time … Sami holds Ari at the mansion and smiles as she remembers cute moments with Will once upon a time. Will listens, much moved. She hands back the pink baby and goes to get the address. She texts it to Will. Will now admits he misses his mom, the way she was. She was there for him from the start. She insists she is still here. However, she was hurt by the man she loved and suggests she might be an anti-heroine. Will must accept her as a whole, not this part or that part. Otherwise, there is really nothing. Such is her simple philosophy. Will considers. EJ angrily warns Kristen that she and fatha had betta not be cooking up something that will cost him Samantha. Kristen refers to him as Sami’s whipping boy. He scoffs and departs. Kristen cannot take the suspense about her miracle drug and decides to be proactive … Marlena appears at Dan’s door, having found out Kristen is claiming to have sent a miracle drug for John. Kayla and Dan confirm that is correct. Brady drawls he is gonna do it. He would take anything from anyone to help his dad! They all head for the hospital. Dr. Dan gets down to business with his crisp lab coat on and announces the injection is imminent. Brady signs the forms and hands the clipboard to Kayla. Anne asks when John is being transferred. Kayla advises the HR diva to mind her own business and she scurries off. Brady and Marlena wait at the window. He realizes this is rough on her. She wistfully whispers all that matters is John. Brady now confesses he can no longer hate Kristen the way he did before, given how she has helped … Ben and Abi take their drinks to the park and settle on a bench in front of a few white flowers that contrast with the blackness of the night. He complains about Clyde staying and always coming to see him. He is the same bad news Clyde. Abi admits her father had his demons too. Ben sighs Clyde is worse than worse. He witnessed things and alludes to the danger. She wonders what he did to him. Ben would rather think about them tonight and they start to kiss. Before long, Ben gets a call. The night shift manager is sick and Sonny needs him to lock up. Abi is understanding. He will call as soon as he is done and leaves her alone on the park bench … In another part of the park, somber EJ orders his thug to frisk Clyde. Clyde will not comply. The two dangerous men start to walk away. Clyde calls after them with an apology. He gets frisked as eerie music plays. It sounds like a fast-forwarding clock, as time spins out of control … Theresa gets herself into the Kiriakis mansion courtesy of butler Henderson, and pours herself a drink, anxiously awaiting Brady. She rehearses telling him how Kristen spooked her with her threats. All of a sudden the front door opens and shuts. There stands not Brady, but Kristen. Theresa the terrible snaps what is she doing here. Kristen gives her a look to KILL! Sami caresses the first grandbaby in her arms. Will gives a heartfelt explanation of his viewpoint. He is a grown man with a child. Perhaps he overstepped in writing his article but she cannot assume he will approve of all that she does. He suggests they are the same and not always easy to read. Sami loves the baby and her son too and hands her over as she sleeps. Will thanks her. Tender music plays Then a sweet goodbye. Sami closes the door. Outside, Will marvels to Ari how well it went. Inside, Sami is overcome with emotion … Clyde is clean. EJ orders his man to keep the coast clear. He steps to the other side of the gate. EJ the dastardly DiMera now demands to know why he should trust Clyde, do business with him, or even let him live ... THE END AHEAD ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES: CHAD DIMERA! |
