The air is heavy Detective Hope has gotten a call at the park that angers her. Aiden arrives and she confronts him for lying again Adrienne is at the square, anxious about the envelope she is holding in her hand. Lucas arrives and she admits her test results are inside. He proceeds to give her a pep talk about treatment and options, how far medicine has come. His words calm her the way they always do Outside, Justin runs into Rafe, who has ordered all surveillance on the cabin stopped. Justin admits he is to blame for tipping off the DiMeras when he took and talked about the fish lure. Abe did not allow him to resign when he offered, though. He offers Rafe an olive branch as they work to keep the killer off the street before he strikes again, whoever he is. The two men shake hands for a new beginning At the station, Abigail asks JJ what has happened. Jump Street JJ updates his sister on his undercover work for the DEA, how he brought down Clyde the drug kingpin of Salem. He also suspects crazy Clyde killed Paige cos he had issued death threats Sinister music plays Ben has arrived home. Will is alone, and the cable guy was a no-show. Will tries to act like nothing is wrong when Ben notices him holding the telltale red necktie. He tells him he brought wedding information and teases him about the loud tie, wondering why he threw it out Gabi arrives at the station to see brother Rafe. Lani informs her he is on the field right now Ben declares he decided the tie was too ugly so he tossed it in the trash. He tells Will he can keep it. Will gulps no thanks. Ben can feel his fear Hope lashes out at Aiden for lying to her about Clyde. According to her call from Roman, he actually gave him the goods on Clyde to send him to prison in Florida! Attorney Aiden pleads his case, claiming he had to protect her and the kids after Clyde had threatened them. She was right about him all along Adrienne starts to open the test results, her hand trembling, Lucas at her side Will wonders whether Abigail found Ben. She had been worried. He gasps he is sorry about his father. Ben growls it was a misunderstanding. He rages Chad is the real culprit, the real killer and gets the tie in his hands. He wrings it in frustration and grimaces. Will asks him if he is alright Gabi joins JJ and Abigail at the station. Abigail steps away to text Ben about his whereabouts. Gabi sees something is wrong. Jump Street JJ updates her on bringing down Clyde the crazy criminal, whom he also suspects strangled Paige. Gabi is stunned and sympathetic Ben ignores the text from Abigail and stands up again. He has draped the necktie over his big shoulder. Then he rages the real killer is Chad and JJ was the real drug dealer. His father is guilty of nothing. Will stammers he should go and gets to the door. Ben glares at him and says NO. He is sorry Will meets his stare and stammers he is sorry but he has to work on a deadline. Or they could go somewhere anywhere to talk His eyes reflect his dread. Bens eyes are deadly. He notes Will is nervous. When his phone buzzes up a storm, he explodes and hurls it across the room in rage. Will scrambles to slip out the door but Ben is too strong and too swift. He shuts the door to prevent the escape of his prey. Will peers up at him in horror Adrienne takes out the test result and is about to read it when Justin comes around the corner. She hastily puts it away as Lucas pretends they were speaking about Sonny. Adrienne adds to give Arianna a hug for him and Lucas discreetly departs. Justin asks Adrienne to return to the Edge with him, to finish their date. They both regret how it had ended and Adrienne agrees to end the date they started Hope is extremely insulted that Aiden actually steered her away from investigating Clyde all that time. She feels undermined. Aiden apologizes and pours on the charm. He tells her he loves her and they kiss. But Hopes eyes are haunted Ben numbly notes Will thinks he knows. Will assures him they are friends and should go somewhere to talk. Ben snaps talk about what! Will states he can see he is worked up and wants them to go somewhere. Ben explodes. Will tries without success to slip out. Ben rages how condescending he is like everyone else and hurls him against the fridge with force. Will falls to the floor like a limp rag doll. Ben bends over him with his necktie by the window as the streetlights flash furiously He stands over him and Will weakly begs for his life, the necktie noose Ben has in his grip slowly strangling the life out of him. He gasps and pleads pleeeeeeease but Ben has no soul. He squeezes one last time and then falls on his back with a cry. He believes Will brought it on himself by not staying away Gabi goes for a walk with JJ. At the square, he laments the girl he lost used to work here. Gabi is sorry. JJ still wants to talk and they sit on a bench together At the Edge Adrienne is at a table with Justin but she is not here to date him, she is here to dump him. Adrienne, however, is a sensitive soul, and starts by stating she no longer needs someone to make her feel safe, nor does she think she could endure the pain of any of their problems again. Justin murmurs and admits to mistakes but Adrienne sees it differently. The mistakes were more like a wakeup call. She knows in her heart of hearts that a part of Justin also longs to be free. The dedicated D.A. cannot deny it. And so it ends Hope and Rafe are hard at work at the station. Lani has an update for Detective Rafe. Turns out Chad is suspected of boarding a flight to Rio on a jet owned by a dummy DiMera corporation. They discuss whether he was really on the flight. After all, it could be a classic DiMera diversion Lucas walks through the park and leaves Will a pleasant voice mail about wanting to get tickets for him and Ari for giggles. He runs into Abigail, who explains Will was at her place waiting for the cable guy. However he has probably left by now Ben bends over Will and closes his eyes with a hand. He is no longer breathing. Ben now tapes his feet together and shoves him in a black bag. Next he shoves in his wedding photos and such and cruelly ties a rope around it. But there is a bloodstain in the darkness Aiden has a clandestine meeting with a creepy character at the park. He is paying him to break into DiMera mansion and find Chad so he can get the reward. He hands him keys and a fob and threatens him lest he dare double-cross him. He suspects Chad is hiding out in a secret room After giving JJ a pep talk about things getting brighter, Gabi gets going to pick up some things at the apartment. She makes for Will and Sonnys place. So does someone else Ben has carried Wills body back to the Wilson apartment. He lays him on the floor and trashes the place as though a robbery has occurred. When he breaks the lock he gets a call from Abigail, who wonders where he is. The killer calmly claims he was at home, did not see Will, and went for a run. He will be home soon. Abigail, who had heard about Clyde's arrest, thinks he sounds upset. He drawls he will be fine as soon as he sees her and steps out in his dark hoodie Lucas enters the Edge. Justin has been drinking and slurs not to hurt Adrienne Adrienne is alone in her room and takes another look at her test results At the station the detectives are determined to catch the real killer before he kills again Ben comes home to Abigail, who has started to set up romantic candles. She wanted it to be perfect. He insists she is perfect and starts to make love to her, without a second thought Gabi gets to the slightly open apartment door and anxiously enters. There lies dead Will Horton with the telltale necktie left on him as a calling card. Gabi screams a blood curdling scream to wake the dead THE END |
