There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At John’s bedside, Theresa’s statement is repeated by Roman the reader. Marlena whispers was that also all John recalls? He takes a deep breath and says NO. Kristen is thrilled. Theresa is terrified. John explains there was way more intensity. He was out of control and it was all his fault. Brady is not to blame. Brady is stunned. So is Kristen. The room fills with the sound of silence. Kristen suddenly steps forward, sweetly agrees this is emotional, and is glad Brady was wrong. She always knew he was not as bad as he thought. Theresa cringes. Kristen departs and pauses outside the door ... Baristo Ben whistles a happy tune at the club. Jordan teases her brother in love. He claims it is the sunny weather. She knows better. He is a man in love! And she approves. Ben blushes. She teases not to mess it up. He will do his best and keeps cleaning a table. She hugs her bro… Abigail spies some flowers at the pretty town square and remembers the flowers and love making with Ben. Chad approaches with a coffee and a twinkle. Was she thinking of him? She gasps hi and starts to go but he stops her. Things need not be like this between them! She reminds him he set the tone. He argues he already apologized. Abi agrees but sighs he said how he really feels. He brings up Ben and Abi gets her back up. He should back off Ben. Especially at work! Chad points out Ben is not a respectful employee in his mind, which led him to speak with Sonny. Assuming the worst, Abigail calls him a bastard. How dare he fire Ben! Chad stops her from storming off. In fact, Sonny let him know what a great job Ben does so he opted to step back, for the good of the club. It is more Sonny’s place now, so he also agreed to reduce his cut of the business. Abigail is relieved but wants to go. He asks her not to tell Ben as he did not do this for him. Abi agrees, thanks him and he watches her walk away. At the mansion, Sami flashes back to Chad’s warming that she was to blame for the wrath of Stefano that was waiting to happen. Johnny appears asking about the party. He is anxious to go. Sami explains they must wait for the girls to finish getting ready and also EJ … Outside the house, Miguel updates EJ over the phone on Clyde’s betrayal. EJ demands he bring him to the meeting place so he can show Clyde who is in control! Miguel turns and meets Clyde’s gaze with a grin. EJ enters the house and assures curious Johnny he and motha are coming to the party too. He hugs his son, home where he belongs. Sami is surprised that EJ spoke to Will about the party, among other things. Matter of fact, Sonny wants to pick them up. Johnny is excited cos he listens to more exciting music in his car. EJ assures them he will meet them there. Sami goes to make the girls hurry up. EJ asks his little man about camp and recalls his terrific time at soccer camp as a lad. Johnny wonders whether the other kids made fun of his DiMera name as well. EJ now has cause for concern. Who were these kids? Older ones. EJ explains he should be proud of his unique name. But some people are mean. Never mind them. They might have been referring to Stefano or EJ. He advises his son to be his own man. His last name matters not. Johnny gushes it does cos it is daddy’s name. EJ holds him tight. Sami smiles sweetly and observes the tender scene. Ben and Jordan end their happy hug when Clyde comes into the club. He hopes things went well for Ben. Indeed. If he needs anything else … He also hopes things are well for Jordan and exits. Ben now admits to his curious sibling that he borrowed some cash from Clyde. Eerie music plays. Salem patient John needs his rest but first seeks a word alone with his son. The crowd clears out. John now assures bewildered Brady he was not to blame for what happened. Brady begs him to tell him whether he was lying just now. Outside the room, Kristen and Dan exchange a look, then observe Theresa, who stands alone, stunned. Inside John assures his son he is not responsible. He pats his face. Brady gets choked up about his bad decisions, how he pushed him away. He should have been different. John drawls the time has come to look forward. Do they have a deal? They shake on it. Outside, Marlena notes Theresa is jumpy. Everything okay? Theresa stammers she was just worried John would remember wrong. Roman gives her the evil eye. Theresa gushes it is good John recovered. Brady now emerges and informs Marlena that dad wants to see her. Theresa confronts coffee pouring Dan about his closeness with Kristen. She noticed the look they exchanged. Was it about her? Distracted Dan spies Brady and asks to discuss John’s treatment options. Roman goes on his busy way. Dan and Brady head to a room for a private conversation. Theresa starts to hyperventilate and wonders. Once Sami and EJ are alone, she asks what is troubling him. The mess with fatha though all will be well when things settle down. Sami offers to speak with Stefano but EJ does not wont her to worry. He will handle fatha. He pulls her onto his lap as tragic music plays and tickles her. They have a fun party to attend. She marvels he made things right with Will. EJ vows to make them a big happy family. Sami thanks him with a passionate kiss. Ring ring! EJ casually explains he must attend to something and will meet her at the party. She wants to arrive with him, however, to make a splash, and will therefore wait to hear from him when he is done. EJ thinks the future looks bright and calls himself the luckiest man alive … But when he walks through the dark front door, his demeanor changes. The look in his eye is decidedly deadly … Ben will only say he needed some money for stuff … Jordan deduces he had dating expenses. It it was wrong to open the door to creepy Clyde again, though. He argues that was the past. She warns him not to go that route again, then apologizes for telling him what to do. She hopes next time he will get in touch with her for help, not take a chance with Clyde. Ben agrees and she goes. Ben gets serious ... Sami admires a family photo of her and EJ with their kids after she gets off the phone with Sonny, promising to meet him out front with the kids in a few. Johnny jumps back into the room, having forgotten the good luck rock he got daddy from camp. Sami thinks he can give it to him tomorrow … Meanwhile EJ is walking through the town square in a hurry, like a man on a mission. Chad notices but sits down. He then spies Jordan and greets her with a flower. She admits she has much on her mind and turns away. Chad suspects her brother got to her again and says as much … Brother Ben admires Abigail at the club and they both stammer. He offers her a drink. Perhaps he should bring it outside to her, since it is such a nice day. She gushes she will see him outside … Jordan assures Chad she was just preoccupied. She sits and teases him for drinking the coffee at the café more than his club. Sami has just arrived at the square and looks around, hoping to see EJ … Marlena joins the Salem patient in his room with stars in her eyes. He dramatically declares they have much to discuss. She smiles they now have all the time in the world and tells him to get his rest first. She touches his hand. He touches hers back. She exits and the big guy fights back the tears, overwhelmed … until Kristen walks in. The she devil sits at his side and admits he got her! She knows he did not tell the truth. John gets sarcastic. She knows he knows it was Theresa but she thinks he is hell bent on keeping Brady away from HER. He played his hand but it was the wrong choice. Theresa might not be the lesser of two evils! He can now live with his choice and pray he did not put Brady in more peril. John has but one thing to say. GOODBYE. At the dark park, EJ rages to armed and dangerous Miguel that he warned Clyde to stick to the territory as told. EJ goes into dangerous DiMera mode. Jordan teases Chad for trying not to make waves by being at the club. Speaking of making waves … Chad greets Sami, who is desperately seeking EJ. He directs her to the park, the direction in which he was headed. Sarcastic Sami goes as Jordan admits she has issues with that one as well. Chad is delighted to hear it … Sami arrives at the dark isolated park asking EJ to come out wherever he is. No answer … Not far off, leather jacket Clyde meets with EJ and innocently wonders what the problem is. EJ rages he had orders. Clyde taunts those orders made no sense … Sami curses when she cannot get a cell phone signal. She keeps walking … EJ rages he had warned Clyde there would be consequences! Clyde tells him to go home and let him make the money for them both. EJ leers he is done as of tonight! Clyde counters he does not see that happening and seems ready to reach for his unseen weapon ... Theresa the terrible tells her nervous self she is safe … Brady shares with Dan that he suspects John did not say everything and ends it with that. Dan thinks the same thing.… Kristen bids John goodbye as well and walks out. He grins in triumph. Kristen pauses outside his door. This is not over! Then she goes … Ben has that drink for Abi outside … Chad tries to get Jordan to stay with him at the outdoor café a little longer. She finds his effort charming. He reasons it is her day off. She wonders how he knew that … EJ growls Clyde does not know who he is talking to. Miguel takes a symbolic step to Clyde’s side. Clyde now questions EJ’s power. His gangster father has not taught him how things really work in the world of gangsters. EJ snaps and slugs him … Sami is walking through the park. BANG! She turns around with a start. EJ? She is still clutching her blood red purse. The silence in that park is ominous … IS IT REALLY THE END?! |
