There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... JJ is asked about the early Kayla/Jack connection by petulant Paige. He gets his back up. What did Kay say! Paige enters and ponders the early association of Jack and Kayla before JJ’s folks even met. She wonders why he seems so stressed. Parker starts to fuss in the other room and Paige goes to attend to him. JJ tries to regroup. He flashes back to telling Jen he could not fathom what Jack had done. He hears Paige soothing Parker, who needs a nap. How to tell her? Paige is back and senses something is amiss. JJ sighs his dad was not such a great guy as he recently discovered. Before he was born, Jack was a jerk. In later years he also gave Jen much grief. Jumping Jack was antsy, always looking for the next adventure. The whole family sided with Jen in those times. Paige is sympathetic. JJ laments he loved his dad and perhaps people did not like him but he will always love him. Paige gets it. JJ would rather focus on that and asks her not to discuss Jack with Kayla again. She agrees and apologizes for bringing back any bad memories She promises to respect his privacy. JJ thanks her and sighs in relief. Sami is at Will’s door bearing gifts for sleeping baby Ari in a pretty bag. The apartment is already decorated for a party. Spiffy Will thinks the gift is a sweet gesture, though the party is to celebrate Sami’s kids. Sami gushes Will is sweet to throw the party. She starts to stammer she and EJ are back together. Will explodes. He calls him a creep and how could she! He is the cheating scum who seduced cousin Abi! Sami gathers her son is upset. Will now questions her pride. Does she not have any left?! Sami pauses. EJ kicks Chad out of the DiMera mansion. That is, he tries. Chad taunts him for losing his British cool and points out Kate is on his side. EJ snaps the twit has no idea wot he has done! Chad smugly states he must have spoken with Stefano and calmly gets himself some coffee. EJ rages he has unleashed the wrath of the phoenix upon him and his family! Chad dismisses the dangerous DiMera. EJ reasons this time things are different than ever before between them for Stefano now knows he is to blame for the police having enough proof to lock him up for years. Chad points out he would have found out sooner or later. EJ agrees, but had not envisioned such a betrayal from his brotha. He wishes him luck with Kate the “hag” he has sworn his allegiance to in this game of wits. Chad finds his anger most amusing and calmly sips his coffee ... John gasps and asks Marlena for a phone when he hears Kristen is back. Marlena would like to know what John has planned and why. He has a favor to ask. He must save his son from the evil one but needs doc’s help to make it happen. The blonde is IN. Meanwhile Brady pulls away from the passion of the Kristen in her room. She wonders what he wants – for them to pretend they never met? It cannot be. Brady the love addict stops and feels the ache of his withdrawal. However, he cannot forget she drugged and accosted his brother. That was when they were done. She thinks he waaaaants her. Brady quips he wants coke too but some impulses must be left unfulfilled. She points out he came to her. Only to thank her for his father. Brady now gets a call from Marlena, who explains John wishes to see him asap, along with Kristen. Brady is baffled but agrees. Kristen reminds Brady she cannot go near John due to that pesky restraining order he got Roman to draw up against her. Brady starts to text and assures her he is asking Roman to pull some strings and get it dropped. They are good to go … At the pub, Caroline thanks Eric for helping John wake up. She is sorry he had to abandon his goal of making Kristen pay. His biggest regret is that Kristen now has an opening with Brady, given she was the one who got the miracle medicine for John. Caroline gasps oh no, the she devil will milk it for all it is worth. She rolls her eyes. They sit and discuss being a DiMera and being a decent human being. It does not seem possible to do both. Caroline drinks her coffee and admits she is relieved Sami came to her senses about EJ. Eric realizes she has not heard the news. Caroline is shocked to find out Sami took EJ back after all that! Sami reminds Will he himself had asked her for a truce. Will did want a truce but only with his mother, not EJ the cheater. Sami snaps Abi was no innocent. Will warns her not to blame her. Sami alludes to her Austin mischief. Will sarcastically states she did not have to handcuff EJ to the bed. Sami begs him to stop! She decides to depart. But Will stops her and promises to listen. Sami explains peoples make mistakes. Will muses his daughter makes him think of that daily. Sami notes he first did not want Sonny to know about his baby. He admits that is true and he hurt people. Sami points out it hurt more cos he loves Sonny and sits to explain her mindset. If Sonny had done something awful … Will exclaims his Sonny would not cheat! Sami knows but hypothetically speaking if he had and he still loved him and was sincerely sorry, would he throw away their love? Will sighs. He now understands why Sami could not throw away her love. Sami is grateful for his understanding. Ari gurgles in the other room and Will steps out for a moment. Baby needs her beauty rest before the party. But within seconds Sami spies Will’s notepad with the telltale notes about his new article on Chad lying on the table! She reads, enraged ... Chad reasons EJ and EJ alone is to blame for the mess he made. Dangerous music plays. EJ brings up Chad’s moral high ground and warns him fatha’s revenge will be extreme. Handing him to the police was the ultimate mafia betrayal. Chad quips he would not kill his own son but EJ mutters yes he would! When fatha is betrayed, especially by a son, he is capable of anything! He left Tony on an island, Peta in jail … Chad jokes he is a sexist killer. EJ tells him of what killed Alexandra, the gases in the tunnel. He then claimed to be a changed man, also after Chad was shot but make no mistake, the monster lives. Chad just unleashed him on EJ and Samantha and the children! They could all be destroyed! Chad blinks. He counters he is just using his kids as a way to save himself from any retribution and stares him down, his hands in his pockets. EJ stammers to please tell fatha it was not true … Chad refuses and slams him for what he did, the fact that he did not even contact him. He had to hear about his affair with Abigail in an article! He will therefore not reach out to Stefano to change his mind. Furthermore, he does not give a damn what happens to him! He coldly walks away. EJ’s eyes widen like a man who knows his days are numbered … Paige perches on the leather sofa with JJ as Parker sleeps. She flirts and finds her way onto his lap, stealing a kiss. JJ explains they promised to be responsible sitters. She wants to multitask and kisses him again but JJ insists they STOP! Will accuses Sami of SNOOPING. She defends her accidental discovery of his notes on the table waiting to be seen. He had better not be doing an article on Chad the cad. Will quips it is his new assignment. Sami argues that is unfair as Chad hates EJ and would only trash him to the world. Will stands firm. She argues Abigail could get hurt. Will replies she will not even be mentioned. Sami gets even more upset that he intends to ask Chad about his brother. Will insists he is writing his piece no matter what. Sami storms out and slams the door behind herself. At the hospital, Brady informs Marlena there is a restraining order against Kristen but he asked Roman to get it lifted. Marlena replies John is asking to see Kristen alooone. Kristen decides to go in, in spite of the fact that she has no attorney present. She greets the Salem patient with a casual long time no see. John grins, fully aware that he owns this moment … Outside the room, Brady questions whether his father is really ready. Marlena questions whether Brady is ready to handle Kristen. Brady assures her he knows what he is doing … Inside the room, the Salem patient states he knows what Kristen did. Marlena filled him in on her miracle drug. She gushes she was glad to help. He murmurs his full recovery is expected. She did not want him to end up a vegetable but wonders why he sent for her. John patiently points out this is about a new beginning. She observes him with her cat eyes. Will is back to working on his notes when Chad comes banging on his door. Will was not expecting him. He was expecting another DiMera. Angry EJ … Sami heads home to EJ, who laments someone told fatha he gave the police the proof against him. It was not Kate as Sami suspects, she had Chad the cad do it for her. Fatha denounced him and told him he is DEAD to him. Sami is sorry. They embrace as EJ admits he knows not wot comes next but make no mistake, it will NOT be good! Paige primly apologizes. JJ decides he should leave for his lab but will call his girl soon. Once alone, she asks herself why he keeps pulling away, then gets her phone to make an immediate appointment … Chad wonders why he was expecting EJ. Will sighs he just learned Sami and EJ reconciled and had a blowup with his mom. Then she came across his article notes and exploded. Chad is sorry. Will adds she also assumed Chad would only use the article to trash his brother. Chad hopes he has not changed his mind. He has not. Chad is elated and leers in that case, he has lots to say about EJ … Sami wants to confront Kate but EJ pulls her back. Sami still wants to act. EJ only wanted her to know. He promises they will come up with a plan together. In the meantime they must keep up appearances. Knock knock knock! Sami takes a deep breath. EJ graciously opens the front door to Caroline and Eric. Confused Caroline seeks a word with Sami, who forces a smile. EJ smiles too. They are now all about keeping up appearances … Kristen hopes this is not a trap … But the five minutes Marlena agreed to give John are over so she enters his room with Brady and orders Kristen to go. John suddenly gasps. It is all coming back to him. He can now remember exactly what happened to him that night! Brady, Marlena, and Kristen wait with bated breath ... THE END!
