Pretty Dr. Kayla is in her office on a personal call. She informs unheard Jen she is sorry she missed Paige’s funeral due to work. In walk Victor and Roman, determined to discuss the drug for Caroline. Kayla repeats her decision with a resounding NO. Victor looks down … At the station, Maggie muses to Hope how Ciara wants all desserts at her wedding. Hope hopes Caroline will be able to attend. They discuss the drug that Kayla refused. Caroline would need next to a miracle. Hope laments Bo does not even know he could lose his mother … Prisoner Bo wakes up strapped to his bed as lights flash cruelly in his face … Meanwhile Steve is on the phone with unheard John about those pills he knows Bo spat out. He is after a DNA match asap. He shines his flashlight in Bo’s former cell and keeps searching, only to find something that horrifies him … Ed has gone on the air with his reward for Chad the fugitive. Rafe advises the camera crew not to let it air, though, and gets angry at the interfering father. He accuses him of undermining his investigation. Justin and Eve are quietly and curiously listening. Rafe refuses Ed’s involvement and now complains the calls that come in will take away resources. In addition any caller who has something to say against the dastardly DiMeras could wind up dead. He blames Ed in advance. Ed rages Chad murdered his daughter. Justin steps in and suggests the reward was a good idea. Rafe talks chaos. Justin informs Ed he has the right to make his reward offer. Ed sips beer and states it stands. Rafe rages Chad could end up dead and it would be on their head … Roman and Kayla argue. Victor sides with him. Kayla senses the untried drug could kill Caroline. She snaps Victor is not even her mother’s family and so ends the discussion … Hope points out she has too much paperwork and Maggie remembers how she become a cop after meeting Bo. Hope admits he used to push her princess buttons but she loves this job. Maggie wishes she would be grateful for the woman she became because of Bo. They embrace and she exits. Hope gets to thinking … Steve finds a great deal of blood smeared on the cell floor. He gasps oh no as he crouches down for a closer look. All of a sudden, a gun is raised to his head with a threat not to move. Patchman is in peril! Eve approaches drinking Ed and he expects the worst. However, she thanks him for the reward even if it means Chad’s head on a platter. She is admittedly surprised he has that kind of cash. He will only say his security business has been good but he would give it all to bring justice to Paige … At the station, Rafe rages to Hope about the reward, the fact that the D.A. did not side with him. Hope is sorry as she realizes how personal this is. Rafe sighs his father and Paige’s were one and the same. Hope’s eyes widen … At the hospital, Roman warns Victor against bankrolling Dr. Salinas much longer. Victor argues Caroline would want this chance. There is no guarantee of time in this life. Roman considers … Kayla sits at her mother’s bedside. Caroline is having a nightmare. In fact it is a premonition of Bo the strapped prisoner being threatened with death and tortured to talk … In the real world, Steve stands up and is sorry his "sightseeing" took him here. The goon growls he is coming with him and orders him to move. Steve makes his own slick moves and overpowers the thug, He smoothly draws his own gun, and demands to be told where Bo Brady is … At the post-memorial, Theresa finds out that Brady does not believe Chad did it. He had told him about some blackouts. Brady wonders whether Chad even remembers what he did. Theresa knows what it feels like to be unfairly accused. So she says. Brady goes to get her a soda. Eve wonders why her sister brought Brady, the billionaire heir who keeps kicking her to the curb. Meanwhile Brady is at the bar, where Justin hopes he is not falling for Theresa the terrible again. Brady sighs and the tender background music stops … Rafe tells Hope the story of his father abandoning them when he was 15, only to do the same with the next family Rafe never even knew about. Paige was his sister. Hope is concerned about the big guy, who only cares about Gabi, the fact that Ed now wants to know her. Hope promises to keep her silence and lets her friend know she is here for him always. They hug and he thanks her … Roman sits with Kayla as she watches sleeping Caroline. Roman recalls the speech his ma made at Will and Sonny’s wedding. It was so beautiful, so eloquent. Will they ever see her as such again? Kayla cries there could be moments. Roman questions whether this is the wrong call. She insists she would even make this call for another patient … At the former monastery far far away, the goon’s hands have been tied by Steve. He confirms Bo Brady was being held here. But all he did was follow his orders. From whom? Steve still has his gun aimed at him in the semi-darkness … Justin warns he went through a similar situation. Brady insists he harbors no notions of romance with Theresa and he never will. Justin just hopes the hellcat knows that … Ed and Eve agree it was a lovely service. He is sorry he tried to interfere in her plans and praises her as a mother. Eve gushes their girl was amazing. Ed has taken a long hard look at his life and wishes things had been different. So does Eve. He hands her his beer and she takes a sip. Just like old times. Justin jealously soap stares from the bar ... Brady returns to Theresa with her soda. Theresa apologizes for impulsively kissing him. He stops the conversation since he notes it will never happen again anyway. Theresa agrees and looks away, her eyes tragic … Back at the hospital, Roman reminds Kayla that Caroline is a fighter, one who is not afraid to take chances. What would she do if she could decide? He suspects they already know the answer. Kayla requests a moment alone with her mother. Roman agrees and adds he loves his sis. They embrace as the violins play and he exits. Kayla sits at Caroline’s side and admits the drug could be dangerous. She cries she cannot lose her. Caroline wakes up and Kayla asks to discuss her medical care. Caroline does not recognize her as her daughter and asks her to call Kayla … Hope joins Victor, Maggie, and Roman outside the room. Victor now drops a bombshell on Hope. It was BO who discovered this mysterious treatment … The bearded man in black grovels he was paid by a messenger and knows nothing. Steve talks tough and asks if Bo is hurt. The goon only knows he was tortured to talk about a formula for a serum. Steve gets his gun closer and thunders to tell him where they took Bo. He means business … At the Kiriakis mansion, Tate is asleep. Brady informs Theresa. She does not want to ever let him go now. Brady can relate. She thanks him for his support on this difficult day. The billionaire heir elegantly excuses himself to his study, adding he is here if she needs anything … Justin now informs Ed that they will need to coordinate his reward with the department and declares he supports him despite the fact that he went rather renegade. Ed coldly states he cares not for his support, he is after justice for Paige. He doubts that is what the D.A.’s angle is and they both glance at slinky Eve … Roman and Maggie discreetly excuse themselves. Hope demands details. Victor explains Bo found his way to Dr. Salinas in Peru. Hope notes that was 3 years ago. Victor adds at Bo’s request, he secretly funded the research. Hope is unhappy they did not tell anyone. Victor felt time and secrecy were of the essence and wishes Kayla would come to her senses. Kayla now emerges with a long face … Bo is being tortured by the evil man who appeared in Caroline’s nightmare. He demands the prisoner talk about what the serum is for and what the formula is. Bo gasps and proceeds to play along … The bad guy slugs Steve and shoves smoothing in his mouth. They struggle and Steve spits it out. The goon gets away. Steve raises his gun in rage and shouts to tell his boss he is comin for him … Justin wants to know what exactly Ed means. Ed doubts the D.A.’s interest has anything to do with Chad DiMera. Eve is about to leave. Ed offers to take her home and she accepts. Justin advises her to call if she needs him and watches as they exit. He now calls a contact to do some digging on Eduardo Larson. He wants everything on the man … Rafe obsesses at the suspects and clues board. He watches the TV ad of Ed the so-called grieving father offering a reward and turns the TV off in disgust …Theresa is sketching when she hears Tate scream on the baby monitor and runs up to see what is the matter … Kayla silently and slowly administers the drug to Caroline in her IV as the Salem patient sleeps. Hope, Roman, Maggie and Victor watch and wait with bated breath ... The bad guy leers at prisoner Bo to tell him what the serum is for. Bo gasps it is for foot fungus and loses consciousness with a grin. Nobody breaks Bo Brady! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Chad and Stefano scheme against Clyde. Abigail has an episode.
