He threatens to come to her workplace to discuss what she did if she does not agree to meet him now. She is on her way. Hope now spies freed Claire and Rafe confirms the doctor said she was okay. John and Steve step away with her to go over every detail of what happened. The clock is ticking and Joey remains missing. Hope asks Rafe to update her if he has anything and fibs she is headed to the hospital to check on Abe when he asks ... Chloe is on a call at the Kiriakis mansion. She decided to have a different DNA test done by the same doctor to confirm her suspicions. She mysteriously murmurs it makes sense now. Phillip arrives and announces there shall be no more avoidance. Who is the father of her baby?!... At the pub, Deimos is on a call arranging to meet flunky Dario in an alley. Nicole arrives in time to overhear the telling conversation. Deimos greets her and asks where her guard Stavros is. Outside so they will have their privacy while dining inside. She smiles sweetly ... Hope joins Aiden outside by the park where pretty flowers abound. The D.A. demands she admit she did kill Stefano DiMera. Hope denies the charge so he plays the damning recording of her complaining and confessing to Rafe ... Claire has a reunion at the station with Marlena and Kayla. Marlena hugs her granddaughter in relief. Claire cries about leaving Joey, who said to run ahead. Steve states he is gone now. John sighs they will have the spots tested. Kayla gets upset they found blood but Steve promises his baby their boy will be fine ... Sensitive soul Phillip finds it hard to hide his hurt. He asks who the father is. Chloe cannot say, so he sarcastically accuses her of sleeping around. Chloe is offended. He snaps she lied to him and set him up to lose hope. It feels just as bad as what happened with Parker, whom he assumed to be his child. Chloe counters that was never her intention. He offers to be on her side if she opens up and tells him the truth about this baby. But Chloe feels she cannot ... Nicole wonders what kind of meeting Deimos must attend at night. He notes the business world never sleeps and exits. Nicole sneaks after him ... Hope is aghast. Aiden smugly states he has assumed this for a long time. She seemed guilty. In addition, she and Rafe were sloppy in their cover-up. Meantime Monahan the innocent fool of a man sits in prison for a crime he did not commit. He leers he could open the investigation, even though there is nothing solid. He also has proof a call was made from her home on Stefano's phone, likely after his murder, to make others believe he was alive at the time. He taunts he will find much more if he keeps digging. There is no way out of this ... Chloe is moving out of the mansion. Phil feels that will make him look like a cad cos she is supposed to be carrying his child. Chloe insists she will handle it. Phillip wishes to keep working together despite the drama and discord ... Nicole is hiding in the alley where she overhears Deimos pay Dario for his services rendered. It is clear he was ordered to get the goods on Chloe and broke into her room to read her appointment book, hence Deimos discovering when and where she would have her doctor's appointment. Dario is worried about Nicole. Deimos declares he will take care of Nicole. Dario snaps he had better and walks off into the night. Nicole emerges and accuses Deimos of lying to her all along ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Chloe implores Phillip to release her from her recording contract. In return she will not raise any eyebrows about their breakup. He would like to help mother and child but she repeats this is HER problem. Lonely guy Phillip feels like he has been played again ... Deimos escorts Nicole back to their pub table and politely sits down. He asks for a reset of tonight. She tells him no. He reminds her he never said was a saint and was simply trying to get to the truth. She lists the crimes he committed and is miffed he used Dario to do it. Deimos explains Dario came to him offering his services. Looking downtrodden as though he has lost a child, he notes she must know how he is feeling. Nicole softens. Enter the Chloe ... By the park, Aiden muses how many times Hope lied to him. She thinks he is in no position to cast such stones. He asks her to tell him her whole story and assures her he is not recording. Hope gasps she was out of her mind with grief and snapped. Aiden can imagine Roman helped her cover up. She gasps she was going to confess her guilt but could not leave Ciara. She woefully weeps ... Back at the pub, Chloe confirms she texted Nicole that she needed to talk to her alone. First Nicole forces Deimos to apologize for having Dario follow her to sneak a peek at her appointment book. Chloe starts to call the cops to have him locked up. Nicole gets rid of Deimos so they may speak alone. She states his case. Nicole notes Deimos will not bother her anymore, he is a mess himself, as he was hoping to be the father of this baby. She will comfort him now ... Hope gasps what happens now what does Aiden want ... Aiden announces he does not really wish to re-open this case cos he believes the world is a better place without someone like Stefano DiMera. However, he wants HER ... John, Marlena and Claire arrive home. Their power will last for an hour. Marlena checks the fridge. Claire assumes her grandparents are angry and unhappily admits she was wrong. John notes she is not to blame for the bad guys but next time stay inside. Marlena hugs her granddaughter close. They all worry about Joey ... At the Johnson house, Kayla calls the hospital. There has been no change in Abe. Steve is making her a cup of tea. Kayla holds her son's framed photograph. Steve comes back and she cries she is sorry, she is trying to keep it together. Steve assures sweetness their son will come home. Joe is strong so hang on sweetness, hang on with me! She does just that and sobs on his strong shoulder ... Chloe warns Nicole against trusting a lying man like Deimos. Nicole has decided he deserves the benefit of her doubt. She argues why Chloe should not press charges against him hiring Dario to break into her hotel room. No luck. Nicole asks as a friend and adds she will owe her. Chloe soap sighs in agreement. Nicole now wonders what she wanted to tell her that was so urgent ... Hope will not succumb to blackmail! She dramatically declares she would rather turn herself in. Aiden taunts then she is taking Roman and Rafe down with her. Hope reasons he did not really love her, she was his DiMera assignment. He replies her fell in love with her and never stopped loving her all this time. Ominous music plays ... Chloe tells her friend she is in a tricky situation but cannot share cos Nicole is close to Deimos, which means too close for comfort. She does share her plan to go to NYC to be with mama Nancy, Papa Craig and Parker until her baby is born. Nicole pries but Chloe refuses to divulge any details about the mystery she is hiding ... Aiden thinks he and Hope were crazy in love and could be even better now without any lies between them. He seeks another chance. She believes she already gave him his other chance and he blew it. Therefore there is no possibility of getting back together. They are over forever. Aiden points at her and lectures never to say that ever again! She gets a worried look in her eye, recognizing the signs of a man obsessed. She just happens to be the object of his obsession ... Marlena and Claire end their long embrace. The teen steps away to phone friend Theo. Now it is John's turn to get a hug. Marlena thinks Kayla is in mama crisis mode and weeps for her. John growls they did not even get Joey home ...Steve consoles Kayla in his arms and vows to bring their boy back ... Nicole and Chloe says their final farewells. Chloe walks out of the pub and looks over her shoulder. She leaves with her secret intact ... Inside Nicole tells Deimos that Chloe is worried about her baby's safety and broke up with Phillip. He is astonished Phillip actually agreed to let the mother of his child leave the state. Nicole does not tell him anything more and they embrace ... Rafe leaves Hope a phone update from the station about looking into a Zanimal sighting. From there he heads to the warehouse to search for clues. He will see her soon and adds to be careful ... Aiden gasps as Hope stares at him, stunned into silence. He insists they are NOT over they cannot be! He would not step aside for that distraction called Rafe. They are in love! They were supposed to live happily ever after. They can go back to where they were. Hope finally finds her voice and wonders how he can see that happening. Aiden coldly retorts if it does not happen then she and Rafe and Roman will be locked in prison for a long time. He warns her to make the right choice or there will be only regret. He grins they are going to be together again and cheerfully walks away. Hope turns and stares into the dark night. Her nightmare is back ...!
