Bo and Hope are pirates. Caroline is a cat, while Maggie looks like a glam saloon girl. Pirate Beauregard starts to tell the hyper kids a ghost story in his best pirate voice. The others listen as well. Sami and Rafe are Danny and Sandy from Grease, while Abe and Lexie are a cowboy and his girl. The story Bo tells is that a certain Jacob was hanged in this very spot and his woman vowed revenge. She disappeared on Halloween and now every year it is said that her ghost roams the town square mourning her beloved Jacob. She is still looking for revenge. She gobbles up kids but the lights begin to flicker when she is near. All of a sudden, the pub lights start to flicker and the kids all scream. - In the town square, Abigail the French maid in a mini is with Chad the musketeer. Mel comes up and she has the exact same costume! Abigail notes they have much in common. Mel smiles their cat had the same name. And then their parents got together! - John is at the townhouse doing weights. Marlena praises him. He drawls she used to get dressed up for Halloween and notes her family will be at the big party tonight. He is under house arrest but insists she will be going without him. Marlena would rather stay in with him. John will not take no for an answer. He has called Bo and Hope and they are en route to pick her up. Marlena becomes suspicious that something will happen tonight. He assures her Carrie will solve the case and soon their lives will be normal. No worries. They embrace. - At the mansion, Nicole is dressed like Pricilla. Enter ELVIS as ELVIS PRESLEY! His mother would be proud. Nicole calls him a hunk of burning love. Uptight EJ wants her to stop and quips he hates her. She thinks he looks great and takes a picture. He wants to get changed and put on a suit. Nicole insists he needs to show the people of Salem that he can poke fun at himself, plus there are tons of Elvis lovers out there. She reminds him some folks in Salem think he is stuffy. In addition, Mayor Abe will be in costume. EJ chomps on his gum. He is ready, but will not be gyrating his hips. They head out together arm in arm. - Back at the pub, Caroline gives the kids candy. Bo is surprised to hear the flickering lights were a coincidence. Hope agrees that they must have been. Bo and Hope now talk to Maggie. They will have nothing new to report until they are sure that they have the right Lillian Parker. Maggie laments she does not know how old her child is. Bo finally admits she might know who her child is by the end of tonight. - In the town square, Dan the knight has just finished bobbing for apples as Jen the princess cheers him on. He wants her to untie his hands. She smiles he is a good sport. He brings up the Jack situation. Jen explains she will make her decision soon. He teases he might lock her in a tower if she does not choose him and they kiss. A tall figure in a black cape and scary mask watches ... - Mayor Abe welcomes everyone and wishes them a very good and safe Halloween. EJ appears with Nicole and Lexie is miffed when the press zoom in on him. Nicole smiles and introduces the next mayor, Elvis DiMera! The crowd goes wild. - Mel catches up with Dan and Jen and tells them Abigail has the same costume. Jen makes a note of the super mini and decides to go give her daughter a sweater to cover her up! Once she is gone, Mel and Dan talk relationships and she calls herself an old lady. He states there are guys for her and points out Jen could still end up with Jack. He tells her how Jack decorated cookies for the kids at the hospital with Jen so Jack is indeed a formidable foe. As they play swordfight, the figure in the scary mask watches! - Jen approaches Abigail, who announces she wishes to apologize. She is sorry for not giving her a second chance with Jack. After all, he is her father and has his own charms. Jen admits it is weird dating two men. If she had known what happened to Jack in Afghanistan, she never would have fallen for another man, but she did and must make a decision. Regardless of her decision, Abigail must mend her fences with him. Abigail is surprised to hear that Jack is not in town, as he has gone to be with JJ. She finds the timing unlikely. Meanwhile, the tall figure in the scary mask observes them ... - Bo and Hope arrive at the townhouse and John is grateful. Marlena is dressed in a black suit. John assures her he will be fine and jokes that the nice guard outside will keep him company if he gets lonely. He orders Marlena to go. Bo and Hope depart with her. John now smirks, pulls something from his pocket, and gets to work! - At the town square, Elvis has the mike and tells the press and people what a great place Salem is and that with their vote and support, he can make it even better! A reporter wants Nicole and EJ to pose as Pricilla and Elvis. How about a kiss? EJ whispers it is a photo op. Nicole agrees but quietly tells EJ no tongue! He gives her a hot kiss as the cameras flash and she kisses him back. The crowd applauds. - Abigail comes back to Chad, who has grabbed French maid Mel and is kissing her passionately! - New arrival Marlena gets an update at the party from Lexie and Abe abut EJ's shenanigans. Marlena cannot stay long, as she is worried about poor John being all alone at the townhouse. - Back at the townhouse, John is gone, and his ankle monitor is attached to the computer! - Maggie would like to learn just what Bo and Hope know.
