There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Aiden is at the park, discussing Sami maybe needing Hope. Telephone Hope thinks it is fine for the family has rallied around Sami. She wants to keep their picnic date. Ciara comes up behind her. WHAT is this date?! She gives her the evil eye. Hope hastily ends the call and turns back to her daughter, whose field trip bus broke down so here she is! She will not be ushered back to the bus and stands her ground in the square, suspicious about the date. Silence. She deduces it is a real one. Hope admits she is right. Ciara is appalled. How could she! What about dad! At the park Maggie charmingly asks picnic planner Aiden who the lucky girl is. He makes light of it when she tries to find out more. Maggie smiles she already heard about the elusive attorney from Hope. Aiden now gets a cancellation text from Hope. He sighs the beautiful woman cannot come and invites the redhead to join him … Paige whispers she will be there soon and ends her call, denying to her nosy mother it was JJ. Then who and why the secrecy? Paige gets petulant and refuses to share. Off she goes from the apartment. Meanwhile JJ shows up at Dan’s apartment, needing a clandestine conversation. It is about JACK. Rafe is outside the pub on his phone, noting that big break fell into their lap for ballistics. Kate appears asking if his call is about EJ. He drawls she will know more when the rest of Salem knows. Secrecy is key for the Salem PD. She now brings up another hot forbidden topic. Jordan! Clyde is on his phone, not interested in the details. Time to wrap this up and get back to business! He now sends a text to recipient unknown about being worried, wanting to meet up sooooooooon … Chad is being consoled by Jordan’s healing hands at the mansion. He cries like a baby over losing his brother and she holds him close. He laments he lost his mom and now EJ. They needed more time! He picks up a picture and really regrets those final words he spoke. Jordan assures him EJ knew he would forgive him … Sami is with unhappy Johnny in his dark and dismal bedroom. She tells the boy sitting on his bed how much daddy loved him and that will never die. She gets teary-eyed about loved ones being in our hearts always. Johnny cries and she smothers him with her motherly warmth, her eyes filled with pain. He refuses to eat and blames himself for daddy’s demise. Sami cannot imagine why he would think such a thing. The little lad woefully unlocks the box containing the good luck charm he forgot to give daddy. He feels it would have saved his life! Sami explains it would not have changed the events that occurred. She hugs him again and tells him to think of how happy he and his sisters made daddy. Johnny is still down. Sami now has a message to pass on from EJ, she says. He wanted his kids to know he loves them and will always live in their hearts. Johnny takes a deep breath. Sami insists EJ’s love will be there. Now and forever. More tears flow. Mother and son cling to one another. Kate ignores her phone as leather jacket Rafe lets her know he is not willing to discuss Jordan with her either! She purrs she just wanted him to know how upset the girl was about her dinner date with Clyde, though she denies they are involved. Rafe accuses her of playing games again. Kate coos all she did was accept an invitation to dinner. She wonders whether he still finds the topic of Jordan a tough one. He drawls she has moved on and he is doing the same. His phone rings and he reminds her he has work. Kate smiles a flirty smile and waltzes into the pub ... Sami walks in on Jordan assuring Chad that EJ knew he would have forgiven him and snaps like hell! Chad hangs his head in shame. Sami glares at him accusingly. Chad walks Jordan to the door and she tells him not to be bothered by Sami for she is not herself given the loss of EJ. He thanks her for coming and understanding and closes the door. He now asks Sami about the kids. She flies at him with rage for trying to destroy their father. Chad takes it like a man. Paige shoves a packet in her purse and nervously glances around the square, to ensure she was not seen. Mary Beth is at her apartment but she forgot they were to meet for class. Eve blames JJ and gets testy when Mary Beth suggests perhaps she should let them be. Eve refuses to let Jack’s spawn stay in her daughter’s life … JJ anxiously updates Dan on Paige knowing Kayla was assaulted but she knows not the assailant was Jack. Now what?! The young man is worried. Dan wonders. JJ elaborates. He is worried he might be just like Jack! Dan the man gives him a pep talk.DNA does not mean he will do as Jack did! He adds when he got to know the guy, he grew to like him. Jack was lots of laughs, loved his wife and kids, and had a great heart. He had become a better man and a different man ... Hope perches on a park bench and perceives Ciara is wearing Bo’s blue sweatshirt. Hope thinks the time has come to talk. Daddy being gone so long saddened them both but … she knows not when he will return and it has been more than 2 years. Alas she cannot keep waiting. Ciara snaps she must for they are married. Hope informs her she filed for divorced. Ciara asks if she is certain he is never ever coming back. She assures her daughter he loves her. Ciara sighs she is not waiting for him and sadly sits beside her mother, pulling at the sweatshirt. Hope urges her to keep it on on this cold day and they hug. She loves her daughter. Ciara now wants to know the identity of her mother’s mystery date. Aiden appears and Ciara suddenly jumps up. NOT YOU! Mary Beth collides with Paige at the square and finds her fallen birth control prescription. Are she and JJ sleeping together? She denies it. She is just being responsible and prepared and swears her so-called bff to secrecy. If she repeats this to anyone, their friendship is over! Then she goes … JJ thanks Dan for the pep talk. The doc reminds him he can go to his place if he needs some space to think alone. They hug like guys and JJ gets going. Inside the pub, Kate addresses Clyde when he comes to her table. Why the worry? He drawls cos of that dreadful thing that happened to EJ. He plays it cool like he had no involvement and pleasantly presses her for information. He slyly discovers she is worried about her business partner Sami also suffering the wrath of Stefano … At the mansion, Sami screams at Chad for making Stefano turn on EJ. She knows he did for they both spoke the same sentence – that EJ was DEAD to them. Is he happy now?! Chad has no answer. Sami screams and falls to the floor sobbing. Chad crouches down and promises to provide anything she needs. He implores her to let him help. He gets her a glass of water and she gasps there is nothing. He lets her know he is here regardless. Rafe walks in, as the door was not locked, with an update. They found evidence that points to someone. Chad asks if the killer is in custody. Rafe must admit he is at the morgue, as he overdosed. Sami scoffs. Chad finds that convenient. Rafe adds he had the gun and other belongings. Sami starts to scream it was a mere mugger???? Rafe notes they need to find his drug dealer but this is where the evidence presently points. Chad demands to know if he believes this is really the son of a bitch who killed his brother. Sami’s blue eyes widen as she also waits for an answer ... Eve is at the hospital, having met with a doctor to discuss the surgery that could revive her singing career. She asks the nurse for the contact details of Eric the hospital photographer. Dr. Dan appears and she thanks him for the referral. Dan just wishes she would give JJ a break already and says so. She coldly claims to know what is best for her daughter and refuses to withdraw … Meanwhile JJ opens Dan’s apartment door to pretty Paige. She wants to talk and gushes they are all aloooooooone now! At the pub, Clyde quietly ends a call and says job well done! Kate asks him about his good news. He cackles how great it is when things fall into place. Kate cackles too but eyes him with distrust as he drinks up. He watches her seductively stir her martini and notes she must be stressed. Kate points out EJ was her ex-husband’s son. Clyde decides to lift her spirits with a little gift box. The fortune cookies make her laugh and she touches her wannabe suitor’s shoulder. Jordan spies them through the window and panics, remembering the time he grabbed her when she was Tammy Sue. Inside, at Clyde’s insistence, Kate cracks open the cookie and reads to have fun, it is only naughty if you get caught. They drink to that. Rafe will only say it seems the bullet might be a match, though he does not share his real sentiment that this is all too convenient … Sami screams why did the mugger just not take the money and run, why did he have to randomly shoot EJ! Rafe is sympathetic. He thought it would be easier to know. Sami sobs but he is gone! Dan gets an eerie text … Eve finds morose Mary Beth at the square alone and asks where Paige is … Back at Dan’s place, Paige announces to JJ she is ready. They are close and he is the guy of her dreams. She kisses him and asks him to be her first. JJ, the son of Jack, freezes …! THE END AHEAD ON DAYS: Kate tries to warn Sami. |
