There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... As Brady broods, Marlena comes downstairs. Sami sleeps. Brady calls this scenario strange. Marlena reminds him how much Sami loved EJ. Brady gets it and wants to keep supporting. Kate now waltzes into the mansion with a scoff. Brady drawls he will see Marlena at the hospital, where John is, and gets going. Glam Kate dramatically declares to Marlena it is urgent she see Sami! Marlena refuses to disturb her sleeping daughter. Kate claims she gave her time alone with the family and if she does not discuss something with Sami, she could be lost to her kids too! Marlena muses she is exaggerating. Kate warns this concerns the company and the complications that will further infuriate Stefano … Marlena snaps to stay away from Sami! Outside the mansion, Brady runs into Theresa amid the changing autumn leaves. Why did she come? To give her condolences to cousin Sami. She finds out she is asleep, then begs Brady to speak to her in private … At the hospital, Jordan asks Rafe if there are leads on the killer of Chad’s brother. The guy in the black leather jacket cannot discuss the case. Jordan seeks his assurance that the killer will not go after the whole DiMera family. Rafe scoffs so it is really about Chad and stares her down. She breathes Sami and the kids could be in danger too. Rafe calls it a mugging gone bad, then confirms Sami was the one who found EJ lying there. Jordan notes at least Rafe was there. He suspects it did little good. She gets a call and he drawls to take care ... At the park, withdrawal Miguel approaches calm Clyde, gasping about what to do. Clyde tells son to calm down. He was not supposed to call him! Miguel is fearful of the wrath of Stefano. Clyde reminds him he acted alone, going all rogue and shooting EJ. But he slyly offers to help him hide where no one will find him! Dangerous music plays. The threat is lost on the desperate DiMera goon gone rogue … Elsewhere in the park, Chad meets Theo and Abe. The lovable little lad asks Chad not to leave him too. He already lost Uncle EJ! Chad insists he is going nowhere. Abe lets his little man know Lexie is with EJ in heaven now. Theo is thrilled when Chad presents him with a glider that EJ wanted him to have to replace the one that broke. Abe smiles knowingly and they let him play nearby. Abe asks how Chad is coping. He claims he is managing and announces the DiMeras can offer a reward for EJ’s killer. He and Stefano have spoken. It could go as high as a hundred thousand … Kristen sits on her bed, still sad about losing EJ. She misses Eeeeeeeej and loves him and tells him so. She tells the picture on her phone she will love him forever, then looks at herself in the mirror. Surely he would understand what she must do next … She now admires Brady’s pic and vows to go grab her own piece of happiness. Life is short but love is forever! At the pub, Nicole doubts Dan is secretly speaking with that beech Kristen as Eric has suggested. But Dan does not deny it. Nicole snaps. But Dan refuses to explain! Nicole exclaims what could they possibly have to talk about! There stands Kristen in her curls. She coos they have an understanding. She got to know Dan more deeply due to their ... candid communication about John. She praises him as a master healer and only wishes he had found EJ. Then he might have survived! Dan is sorry for her loss. Kristen pleasantly points out her brother meant much to Nicole and is especially sorry for Eric’s sister, who had his heart. She points out to the petulant pair that without the medicine man’s skill, John could still be in a coma. She now suggests one live for the now and grab happiness. Nicole gets madder. Kristen is just getting started. They all helped save John while Nicole did nothing! Nicole explodes and Dan ushers her out. Kristen acts shocked. Eric gives her a look. Nicole watches outside through the window, extremely upset that Eric actually allowed her near him! Inside Kristen asks the fallen father to tell Sami how sorry she is. He quietly agrees. She reminds him his selflessness saved John. He gasps she blackmailed him but she sees it differently and asks if he can forget the past ... From his bed, bored John is miffed at the physical therapy he has read about and scoffs about being stuck in the hospital for days. He flashes back to Kristen warning him about the evils of Theresa. He decides he needs someone on the outside to keep an eye on Kristen as well as Theresa and he knows who he can trust the most … Brady and Theresa talk at her apartment. She asks why he has not called her lately and seems to shut her out! He notes he has much to deal with though she has been so kind. She demands an answer. Will they ever be close at least as friends? Does he believe in her? … Kristen shares her belief with Eric that they will never be friends. He agrees, but one day he might be able to let go of his rage. It is a personal goal, however, and has nothing to do with her. Kristen brazenly hugs him and Nicole sees through the window. It is too much to bear so she storms in. Kristen claims she is lost as her brother just died. Nicole bites her tongue. Kristen now sweetly seeks a word with Dan and they step outside together. Eric is troubled by their association while Nicole is more troubled by what happened between HIM and the she devil! They sit and Eric brings up EJ. Nicole suspects EJ knew all along what his sister had done. Eric explains he and EJ spoke before his death. She is shocked as she realizes he actually forgave him … Kate quips to take care of EJ’s remains lest the ashes get knocked over. Marlena wishes she would just get a room at the Salem Inn at least for tonight. Corporate Kate will not be denied her master bedroom. She will be back! Marlena sighs, then departs for a visit with Salem patient John. She finds him in his hospital bed pumping a bit of iron. He is anxious to speed up his recovery and explains he has something to discuss with her. He notes her long face and assumes it is Brady. Marlena sighs no it is EJ …. Apprehensive Abe must talk to the D.A. about any reward. He adds Chad has no reason to feel guilty. He knows he and EJ were at odds. Chad sits on a bench hanging his head and insists he is just fine. Abe now takes Theo to the hospital, where he happily shows off his red glider from Chad to Jordan. Jordan asks Abe how Chad seemed. Abe is surprised she knows him. She smiles they became fast friends. Abe thinks that is good cos Chad is in need of a friend right now … Chad later runs into Kate at the square and she complains about Marlena as well as Sami, though she understands why Marlena was protective of her daughter as the timing was not right. Chad is amused by her admission. He asks about the children. She did not see them but she did see the urn containing cremated EJ’s remains. She goes and promises they will talk soon. Chad gets a strange look in his eye ... Abe updates Rafe in his office that EJ’s last call was from an untraceable disposable phone, which is not unusual in the world of wise guys. Rafe now drops a bombshell. He suspects so much more than a random mugging. He is already checking EJ’s payroll … Clyde meets his mountain man at the park and he lets the boss know the cops will find what they are searching for soon. Clyde is increasingly concerned about Miguel, who is panicked. Stefano’s goons could get him to crack if they caught him soooooo …. Chad heads home to the mansion and approaches what he believes to be EJ’s urn. He mutters you son of a bitch. Must be dusty in there. He laughs EJ is the dust. He came not to respect him but to tell him how rotten he was! He only wanted to shine but now the city is celebrating his death. He caused pain to many! But despite his anger, Chad gets choked up. It was not supposed to end this way with his brother ... Dan takes Kristen back to his apartment, where she will not let go that Theresa the terrible was the one who attacked John. She has a solution, however. He is listening. She tells Dan to speak to Brady and tell him the whole truth. Otherwise Theresa will wreck his life! Dan soap stares, feeling the pressure … Meanwhile Brady suggests perhaps both John and Theresa are trying to protect him from the truth. Theresa insists they spoke the truth and she wants him to know. He wonders why. She cries Brady did nothing wrong and admits she has an agenda. She wants to give their relationship another shot! She did not mean marriage. She stammers how scared she was when Kristen threatened her and gazes at him with her doe eyes. The past is in the past so can they start anew? They were so good together in so many ways. Brady blinks and breathes he has to go. To see Kristen? No, to see no one! She touches his face and implores him not to go, her eyes filled with passionate promise … Marlena emotionally tells John that Sami lost the man she loves and she knows how it feels … She now wonders what he wished to discuss. His eyes soften and he decides it can wait another day … Eric refuses to apologize for forgiving EJ, It was not easy but he wanted his life back and there was Sami to consider. Nicole accepts that, then lashes out in a jealous rage about Kristen getting her arms all over him. Eric explains he did what he had to for his mother and now he must think of himself. Nicole screams he wants to forgive everyone except her! She is causing quite a commotion ... Kristen gets closer to Dan and coos he is caring enough to take action with someone he loves. He quips she is going all out with this. However, he will not help the mistress of manipulations win back Brady again. That is her real angle! He places his hands seductively around her neck. She pushes away his hands, warns he will regret not helping Brady, and walks out. Dan is out of breath … Abe wonders where this is coming from. Rafe reasons that if this was the doing of a druggie, then the footprints would not have been covered, DNA would not have been removed from the scene. He now gets a call and orders forensics involved, the scene secured. They just got a break ... Meanwhile crafty Clyde orders his mountain main to hide Miguel deeeeeeeeep in the ground in Poplar Bluff … Chad has a meltdown and cries he and EJ were supposed to work things out. Jordan comes up behind him and places her healing hands on his shoulders … Nicole wails why can Eric not forgive her? Because she was his friend and lover and she betrayed his trust. How he hates himself for not being able to forgive her but it will NEVER happen … Kristen looks at pictures of Theresa at the pub and decides one of her beechy friends will have to help destroy her … Dan cannot forget Kristen’s dire warning and decides to make the call to Brady. Too late. The everything addict and Theresa the terrible are already making wild love on her couch ...! THE END AHEAD ON DAYS: Clyde gets closer to Kate - or is it the other way around?! |
