Nicole and bearded Dan are walking through the autumn park, planning their wedding. Life is short so the medicine man feels they should tie the knot tomorrow … Theresa has summoned Bloody Mary Milbauer to the square. The HR hellcat is highly suspicious and Theresa eventually tells her what she is after – help handling corporate Kate, who is not taking her seriously … At the park, Kate weeps on a park bench and embraces Lucas, who is inconsolable over losing his son. Neither could sleep last night. Lucas praises and thanks her for accepting Will for who he was before he did. He berates himself for giving his boy a hard time. Kate consoles him and he dramatically declares the distance between himself and his mother is officially over … Brady arrives at the luxury townhouse, where Marlena and Eric await. She has summoned her sons for Sami’s sake. Brady asks how she is handling it. That is the problem – she is not. Eric explains she has been unusually quiet. Brady has a bad feeling she is going to blow. Marlena tries to control her emotions when Sami appears. She is strangely serene and polite with her brothers. When she is pressed to let out her grief, Sami gets choked up and refuses. She intends to hold it together for her kids, since she has to tell them when she joins them in California. Marlena suggests she bring them to Salem. The brothers agree but not Sami. She does want them to associate Salem with death … Nicole notes Dan cannot be serious since she has so much to do in designer world today. He relents and suggests they select a date together tonight. Nicole wants a beach honeymoon. Dan knows the perfect destination – the Maldives. Before he can continue, he gets buzzed to the hospital for surgery. Nicole hopes to take some of the workload off poor Kate, who lost Will. The couple kiss and go their separate ways … Lucas promises concerned Kate he is not going to fall off the wagon … Kate weeps that Will never got his chance to reconcile with Sonny, the love of his life. They agree to be strong for Arianna and Kate asks about Sami. Lucas sighs she is not speaking much, not crying. Kate notes that is very bad … Sami regains her composure and reasons she is not about to let the kids anywhere near sinister Stefano, who is always skulking about Salem. Her brothers urge her to let go and grieve cos they are here, they have got her back. Sami lets go, but not with tears. Instead she lets go with nervous laughter … Theresa confirms she and Brady have become quite a team. For this reason she would rather not fight dirty with corporate Kate, who is dismissing her at every turn. Madame Milbauer cackles she can see the real Theresa is still in there somewhere. Theresa asks her to tell her how she clawed her own way to the top, before she made it to HR queen. Anne advises her to hang in and take the hits cos sooner or later people miss and THAT is when you strike. This means she will need to make nice with Kate. Theresa gets it. The reinstated bff offers to do her part by digging up any dirt she can find on Kate. The scheme team, it seems, is back in business … Sami pauses and picks up a touching picture of Will with Ari. It is Marlena’s favorite as well. Her mother goes into shrink mode and tries to make her see she must handle her grief. Sami screams there is no way to handle the fact that she lost Will cos all she wants is to have him back! She storms out and Eric is stopped from following her. Sami needs some space. Brady asks his mother to keep him informed of any developments and departs … Anne and Theresa are snacking on yogurt as they stroll through the square. Theresa spies Kate and Nicole meeting up. Anne encourages her to do as instructed but take small steps for now … Lucas promises to call Kate about the memorial and goes on his woeful way, leaving her alone with Nicole. Theresa approaches and offers her condolences, then mentions today’s meeting with the designers, the fact that she should be at such meetings. Kate condescendingly explains it was a conference call and catches up with Nicole. Theresa insists she be included. Kate condescendingly claims this is business and she needs to busy herself with design ideas as she might end up working with the famous Flavia. Theresa gets excited at the prospect. Kate and Nicole now take their meeting to the Edge, where one can be edgy … Eric updates Marlena on a discussion he had with Detective Rafe. Chad has been apprehended and is in a coma. Ben beat him up in self-defense. Eric did not tell Sami as he was uncertain how she would react. But once she does know it will give her some comfort. Marlena questions whether comatose Chad is even the right man … Sami silently arrives at Will and Sonny’s apartment. There is do not cross yellow police tape but nothing stops Sami. She steps inside and looks around. There are markers on the floor where the body was found. She picks up Will's ipad and stares at the last photo he snapped of himself smiling with Arianna … Brady approaches Dr. Dan at the hospital, having heard about Chad. He wonders whether he has done any blood work. Dan is tight lipped as he cannot talk about the case. Brady updates him on Chad complaining to him about alcohol induced blackouts. Dan notes it is too late now … Marlena believes it is possible Chad ran off as he feared there was mounting evidence against him and the police would never give him the benefit of the doubt. He acted relieved she was alright. Eric thinks she sees the good in everyone. Marlena smiles yes, just like him. Eric, however, thinks Serena was a lost soul, whereas Chad is different. Whoever killed those women is pure evil … Sami gets emotional over Will’s shoe, a stuffed toy, and remembers when she was a teen mom, telling her newborn that thanks to him, she would never be alone again … She remembers special moments with her sweet son until the time she had to tell him goodbye. Then she touches the floor where he was last found. It is cold and hard. Sami starts to wail like a wounded animal … Dan has just gotten a text from fiancée Nicole and excitedly shows Brady a picture of the Maldives. He is hoping to marry and honeymoon her soon. If only she weren’t so busy with Basic Black … Nicole and Kate are seated at the Edge. Kate explains Giovanni of fashion photography fame accepted and she wants a press release asap so please break the news to Eric. Nicole agrees but feels badly about the timing. She now warns her to sleep with one eye open where that Theresa is concerned. Kate cackles cos she has no intention of sleeping at all … At the house of Kiriakis, Theresa cannot create the perfect wedding design, much to her dismay. Brady arrives and teases her. The talk turns to Chad and the fact that they both share family. Theresa tells him Chad was lucky Sami did not get to him first. Brady gallantly goes to check on Tate and suggests she keep drawing … Sami is back with Will’s ipad at his apartment. She sees the news alert of Chad’s capture and gets a cold look in her eye … Nicole has summoned Eric to the Edge. She apologizes for the fact that Kate’s exclusive offer to Giovanni the famous fashion photographer is already a done deal. Eric accepts the news graciously. He gets there is no contest as he is not a fashion photographer and adds he has to spend most of his time with the family. The family needs him. Will’s death was so unexpected … Sami steals into Chad’s hospital room and raises his pillow with wicked intent. The Salem patient sleeps but Sami plans him to make him PAY …! THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Sami wants Chad dead! But Stefano wants him alive! Sonny comes home to such sadness. |
