Attorney Aiden is at the office when he receives a summons that makes him sweat … In the park, recently returned Gabi cannot stop stressing and crying over losing Ari’s father. The little girl senses something is not right. Gabi laments she left her pajamas at the apartment. Abi cries they can stay with her. Gabi is grateful but gets going to the station. They are going to be staying with Rafe. Both women are aware the cops suspect Chad though Abigail would rather not get into it … At the station sympathetic Hope sits across from Sami and Lucas. Lucas is in tears. Sami holds her head high and wonders why Chad would have wanted to kill Will … At the apartment, Chad accuses Ben of being the necktie killer. It could only have been him cos the killer struck again and Clyde is in jail. Ben scoffs. Chad screams he killed his so-called close friend Will. How could he! He calls out for Abigail to get her away from Ben and the danger. Belligerent Ben notes she is not here. Chad vows to get her as far away from him as possible … Sami is now informed that there were three murders, the third being Will. All roads lead to Chad. Sami still does not understand. Hope adds Marlena also was attacked and saw Chad. Marlena admits she had no idea why Chad was there when she was attacked. Sami notes that does not sound at all like Chad. Marlena points out he had admitted to drinking, suffering blackouts. Lucas is emotional. Rafe promises to get the killer though he does not name Chad. Lucas and Sami console one another … Ben denies doing anything and picks up the phone to call the cops and report that Chad the fugitive broke into his home. Chad slugs him and so begins a violent fight. They fall onto the bed doing battle … Rafe hugs strangely silent Sami and tenderly tells her how sorry he is. She thanks him for writing regularly to the kids, who are in California. They are still getting over the grief of losing their father so how to tell them their brother was murdered by Uncle Chad??? … Marlena steps forward and announces she will come to California for the kids. Lucas feels the same way. Hope assures the grief-stricken parents they are all here for them. Sami just wants Will’s killer caught. Now she informs Rafe she is ready to see Will. Lucas wants to come with … Marlena senses Rafe too has his doubts about Chad being the culprit and later shares her personal and professional opinion. Her professional opinion is that Chad does not fit the profile of the killer. Her personal opinion is that Chad is a different breed of DiMera. He once saved her from certain death at the hands of Stefano in Italy. This is the first Rafe has heard of it … Ben has a bloody lip and is on the verge of losing the fight to mad swinging Chad. Ben has a flashback of Abi and Chad discussing their wild lovemaking and EXPLODES. His rage fuels him on and he fights harder, pounding Chad to a pulp. Once he is down, he tries to strangle him. Chad escapes death by strangulation and gasps. Ben leers he will let the cops know how he broke in and killed him in self-defense. Ben now bangs his head again and again on the furniture. But he is interrupted by the sound of a key being inserted into the door. Abigail is seconds away from stepping inside … Marlena gets emotional about Will again. Rafe is sorry and regrets discussing the case with her due to her personal involvement. The blonde insists she wants to help. They are both worried about Sami, who has been strangely calm. Marlena explains it is a state of shock but will end in a bad way. John tenderly stands by his woman and asks if she is alright. He presses cos he sees there is something she is not saying. Marlena laments Sami lost EJ exactly one year ago today and now she has lost Will too … At the cold dark morgue Lucas cries over his son’s corpse. Sami is strangely calm. She feels they failed their son but Lucas reminds her of some of the good times and adds Will even found love on his own. Sami softly states Will should have had more time. She leans over him like a mother and softly states “Goodnight sweetheart. Sleep well. Daddy and I are here and will keep the tigers away …” Then she kisses him for the last time … Chad is out cold. Ben positions himself closer to the door and dramatically lies on his back, pretending to be passed out as well. Abigail enters and rushes to his side. He groggily gasps Chad broke in and attacked him so she should call the cops before the dangerous DiMera comes to. Abigail is utterly stunned … Lucas is at the park with Sami, whom he wants to walk home to the townhouse. She sighs she spoke with Will on the phone today. He told her of his plan to win back Sonny and even fly to Paris. She smiles. Lucas thinks she is acting strangely not like a usual mother in mourning. Sami notes nothing would help, her eyes filled with sorrow and something else that is starting to stir … At the station, the police have another convenient clue that points to Chad. The neckties were all bought online in bulk from a DiMera account. The call from Abigail comes in about Chad attacking Ben. Hope and Rafe are on their way … Abigail tends to Ben and wants to take a closer look at unconscious Chad. But Ben urges her to stay away from that one and claims she was next on his list … The sirens are growing louder … The paramedics soon strap unconscious badly beaten Chad to a gurney. Hope seeks a statement. Rafe casually asks Ben the “victim” what went down. Ben exclaims Chad came through the window and ranted and raved and raged about him and Abigail. He was crazy jealous, which was why he attacked him. Rafe mutters the other women were attacked before though. If it was all about Ben, then why did he not simply start with him? Ben claims not to know how his crazy mind works and holds upset Abigail close. Rafe watches him like a hawk … Sami is at the luxury condo/townhouse, where she learns John is now living with mama Marlena again. She suggests they need their space but Marlena insists she not be alone at this time. Sami is not interested in eating and quietly excuses herself to bed … At DiMera mansion Andre elegantly helps himself to a drink and lectures lawyer Aiden for making him wait. He slyly states he is having second thoughts about holding his hefty debt and suggests he pay it off with one favor. Aiden’s eyes narrow. Andre is asking for all the evidence the police have against Chad. Aiden is indignant he is asking him to commit a crime. Andre implies his patience is about to run out and tells him he has 24 hours. Do not disappoint me … Marlena admits to John that Sami is not doing well. They are both extremely worried. Marlena notes she is numb and when she does react, it will get worse … At the apartment, Abigail dabs the blood from Ben’s face, upset and bewildered that Chad would do such a thing. Ben suddenly flashes back to strangling Will. Abigail asks what is the matter and suggests he get checked out at the hospital. Ben refuses, hugs her again, and tells her all he needs is some fresh air … At the hospital Dr. Kayla has an update on the status of the Salem patient. She informs Rafe and Hope that it was quite a beating Chad took. It seemed to go beyond self-defense on Ben’s part as he fractured Chad’s skull. He is now in a coma and she can make no promises about his prognosis. The police will arrest him when he comes to regardless … Aiden is biting his nails in his office, remembering Andre’s offer. He cannot be in the pocket of the DiMeras forever and nervously opens Hope’s insurance policy on his computer … Ben is alone at the park drinking beer, holding a brown bag as he sits on a bench … Abigail is outside Chad’s hospital room, woefully watching him sleep through the window. The police intend to arrest him for murder the minute he wakes up … Sami is alone on her bed but she is not sleeping. She is sitting and thinking, her eyes slowly filling with fury. After all, Sami is the queen of REVENGE … THE END! |
