There is only a doll with a recording in the crib! The hillbilly has been hoodwinked ... At the station Rafe is waiting for an update and complains to Hope about all the break-ins keeping the cops busy. Now to the matter of Aiden Jennings. Hope tries to change the subject ... Down at the foggy docks Orpheus meets up with Laszlo, a deadly contact who brings him "stuff." He assures the creepy character he will not stiff him and boasts of a rain of FIRE ...Meanwhile at their townhome John, Marlena are worried and waiting for news. Clyde is step one of the plan and it has to go perfectly to reach step two ... Back at the mansion Chad is still lying on the floor, fake blood on his shirt. Clyde curses there is no baby in that crib ... Kayla serves Steve at the pub, though they are running out food. Alas her hero has no appetite. She wants him to be strong for his mission. Steve is glad they are working with John and Marlena. She gushes it feels like they are a team again. He agrees and adds something else is bothering her. Indeed. She cannot forget Orpheus holding her on the boat, her old belief that Steve would save her. They were young and lucky. Now, however, reality has set in. She is scared they might not make it this time. Steve vows to get the job done ... Chad the method actor wakes up, complaining he did hit his head on the way down. Andre giggles when brotha grins Clyde went exactly where they wanted. Clyde is now locked in the panic room with a doll. There is no way out! Marlena points out profiling is not perfect. John assures her that he and partner Patch can handle anything thrown their way. But the blonde worries he could die. He murmurs he is comin home tonight and that's a fact ... Jump Street JJ arrives at DiMera mansion and praises the actors for a job well done. Lucas and Adrienne are still astounded that Andre actually worked with them. Chad laughs he liked shooting him. Andre smiles and sips his drink. Lucas leaves the room to call John ... Back at the station, Rafe departs and Hope discovers a large box from Aiden. He politely orders her to open it. Tis a dress for their date night tonight. He smiles strangely ... The police escort Clyde out of the panic room in handcuffs. Clyde compliments Chad on his acting ability and ominously adds Andre will sell him out. However, Chad thanks his brother, who smiles back. They shake hands ... Phone John is happy to hear from Lucas. He tells him great job and gushes to Marlena by God it worked! Clyde is in custody. He credits her cos Clyde was a hard one but Marlena has a bad feeling they have not seen the worst yet. She had little to go on with hot head Xander and then there is Orpheus. It haunts her that he has had the same ISA training as Steve and John. John reasons without Clyde that one is less of a threat. Marlena is worried regardless. John has his mind on the mission. He intends to get Clyde's phone and then comes Orpheus. He is in ISA mode but Marlena fears the clear and present danger is worse than anticipated ... Hope wants to know what Aiden intends to do. She did break off with Rafe but he will not accept it. He tells her to try harder. She explains she will never fall for Aiden again. But the obsessed attorney will not listen. He leers he would hate to have to prosecute her for murdering Stefano. Hope's eyes widen ... Gabi brings out baby Thomas. Clyde rants and raves when Chad calls him an abuser. The cops cart him off. Chad deduces one down two to go ... Steve gets a text from Joey, who wants in. Kay is glad he is at the hospital with the other kids. He is too much like his action loving father! Andre now calls Steve with the good news. He assures him Adrienne is fine and brotha Chad put on a good show ... He makes light of his involvement ... Kayla is worried about Steve, who states soon he will be back. She holds her hero close and wants him to come back safe and sound. He promises he will, places a kiss on her forehead and leaves with his leather jacket ... Aiden demands dinner alone with Hope in his hotel room. She tells him it is not a good time. He threatens to arrest Rafe and Roman. Rafe returns, sees him standing too close to Hope and growls what is going on! Hope fibs it was about a case. Rafe proceeds to confront Aiden until Clyde is hauled in. He sarcastically greets him and takes him to be processed ... Aiden smiles he will see Hope at his room in that dress and steps away. Hope asks JJ for an update. These are strange times in Salem. Andre being on the side of the good guys must mean Armageddon is just around the corner ... Chad has a call with Kayla, who thanks him and says tell Andre the same. She too is stunned that Andre stepped up. Meanwhile Andre pours champagne and accepts all the flattery. Chad is impressed and wonders how he knew where Clyde would be. Elusive Andre claims he is not accustomed to trust and changes the subject to taking it slow. They toast to brothas and the good guys winning ... Orpheus now hands Laszlo the map to where he must place these bombs he put together. Armageddon is coming in installments! Laszlo slinks away with his instructions and black bag ... D.A. Aiden is in an interrogation room with handcuffed Clyde. Aiden is aware he wanted to shoot him. He taunts Clyde will be taken to solitary confinement for a long time. Crafty Clyde questions that ... Hope and Rafe are waiting at the station. He presses her about Aiden. She urges him to leave it alone for he is making things worse for her. This is her battle to be fought her way ... Steve joins John and Marlena at the townhouse. John has gloves on and is ready to use Clyde's phone for that one important call. The first number ... Orpheus answers wondering where Clyde is. John replies he has been caught. He offers himself and the money only leave the town alone. Orpheus seems to takes the bait. John and Marlena now must say goodbye before he heads out to the danger. She weeps and he promises the woman he loves he will be home for dinner. She whispers she will hold him to it and they embrace. They declare their undying love and he leaves after a last kiss ... At DiMera mansion Chad is talking to Thomas when Gabi approaches with a clean black shirt. He asks about Ari and gets changed. Gabi diverts her gaze from his brief shirtlessness. She believes she should go. Chad stops her. It is still dangerous out there so stay here with him, stay safe. He teases JJ would agree and makes a bet of 50 bucks. Gabi calls JJ, who says to stay as he is still working. Chad wins! He offers her a glass of Andre's champagne. They are about to toast when KABOOM! SALEM IS ROCKED BY MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS! Steve and John are already at the docks and know it was Orpheus. They were supposed to meet him at Pier 28 ... Hope and Rafe are at the station when the sounds strike ... At the pub Marlena wants to take off but Kayla leads her to the back. ARMAGEDDON HAS BEGUN! END Zanimal's last stand ... |
