There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... AS I WROTE YESTERDAY: Clyde questions EJ’s power. His gangster father has not taught him how things really work in the world of gangsters. EJ snaps and slugs him … Sami is walking through the park. BANG! She turns around with a start. EJ? She is still clutching her blood red purse. The silence in that park is ominous … THE STORY NOW CONTINUES: Will has his welcome home party ready and Sonny brings in the three kids of honor. Sonny assures Will that Sami and EJ are coming soon no worries. Wilson admire a framed picture and the kids boast their parents are double married. Sonny smiles Sami would love to hear them say that, but Will has a bad feeling he cannot shake... Ben and Abi kiss, He complains after he gets off work, alas they have nowhere to go to be alone. Abi smiles they can take things slow and kisses him again when he seems disappointed. They stand up and get hot and heavy. She confesses she was lying about wanting to go slow with him. She only said she wanted to go slow so he would not feel stressed about them having nowhere to go to justify their love. Hot blooded Ben grabs her in another kiss, gushes she is amazing, and looks forward to seeing her after work. She gushes to text her. She will be waiting … Chad grins he is a DiMera and DiMeras know all. He goes after Jordan. They end up by the park, where she accuses him of spying on her work schedule. He insists all he did was call her at work to talk and they told him she had the day off. Chad assures her he is no carbon copy of Stefano or EJ. He does not check people out. She is relieved and calls herself a private person. What did he want to discuss? A dinner date with her! He earnestly asks her to dine with him. Truth is, he was shy about doing it in person, hence the call. He now gives her his number so she can call him with her answer sometime and she giggles, already falling for the charm of Chad ... Miguel lowers his gun, which shot EJ. Clyde stares. So does EJ. Then he collapses and feels and sees the blood oozing from his side. Sami is still searching. EJ drops and the dust swirls around him. Clyde cannot believe it. Miguel argues he was attacking. Clyde orders him to take his wallet and jewelry, leave no clue behind. They cover their tracks by sweeping the ground. There can be no trace. EJ is not moving. Nearby Sami has finally gotten a phone signal and calls 911. She exclaims she heard a shot! Clyde orders Miguel to say he does not know him, calls EJ a stupid S.O.B. and vanishes into the night. So does Miguel. EJ has been left lying on his back. Sami calls his voice mail and demands he return her call. A few steps later she comes across him, lying on his back not moving. She rushes to his side in horror. His eyes are closed. She feels a heartbeat, then gasps when she finds the gunshot wound in his side. She puts pressure to stop the bleeding and asks sweetheart to please open his eyes. Nothing. She screams and he slowly stirs. She tells him he will make it. She called for an ambulance and he has to hang on! His eyes close again. She finds his phone and begs him to stop bleeding. Mr. DiMera has got to stay here with her! Rafe runs into Kate outside the pub and suspects the well dressed diva is headed for the party. She leers if she has to see EJ tonight she will just kill him! Rafe muses she must be all dressed up for another date with that Clyddddddddde. Kate quips it is not his concern. Rafe shares his misgivings about the man. And then his phone rings . He happens to be nearby and offers to check it out ... Will and Sonny play a game with the rowdy kids and Ally wins. Will sends them to the table for cupcakes as her win is questioned. Sonny quietly asks whether he texted his mom. He did but still no luck. He suspects she is still angry about his article. Sonny does not think so. Sydney spills the punch and Will wipes away the red liquid … Sami screams for help, trying to stop the blood from oozing. She urges EJ to breath. It is not easy and he finds the strength to gasp he does not want to leave her. She tells him to stay and he nods feebly. She begs him to fight for his life with the same fury with which he fought for her. Now is not the time to give up! EJ gets shaky and gasps here … always … He winces in pain and Sami screeches for an ambulance. His eyes widen and he asks her to tell the children … She is in denial. He hoarsely states she was worth everything … She says she loves him and cries to stay with her. I LOVE YOU SAMANTHA … She loves him too and cries as she kisses him on his cold lips. Then he goes limp. Sami is still saying she loves him when Rafe appears. Rafe yells to the paramedics they are over here. He pulls stammering Sami away and Abe makes a call. EJ DIMERA HAS BEEN SHOT! Rafe gently asks her what happened as the paramedics hover. She updates reliable Rafe on how she came to find him. A body bag is taken out. Sami is aghast. Rafe reminds the paramedics this is the man’s wife! He now has the tough task of informing Sami that EJ is really gone. Sami screams to stop the bleeding and he will be fine! A paramedic points out he is no longer bleeding. Rafe tries to tell her he is dead but Sami refuses to give up and keeps giving orders to the paramedics as they move him into the ambulance. Rafe and Abe are sympathetic. This time they believe there will be no bouncing back for EJ DiMera ... Eerie music plays as Clyde hands his mountain man the gun. He wants him to plant it on someone with a record, make sure they fire a few rounds. Then they go their separate ways. Clyde ends up at the club asking his boy Ben for a whisky. He tells him that cash was a gift he need not repay but Ben feels he must … At the hospital, Rafe agrees with Sami they should keep this quiet. Still they must take EJ to the morgue. She seems to think it is part of the plan and lets them wheel him away. Rafe watches her with even more concern. Sonny asks to play hide and seek with the kids. They would rather wait for their parents cos it is EJ’s favorite game. The kids are growing restless. Will laments to Sonny something must be up. His mother has ignored five texts and her phone goes straight to voice mail … In a secluded room, Rafe brings Sami a glass of water. Sami realizes EJ was without his ring so someone stole it. Rafe assures her Roman is coming. He offers to call Marlena. Sami wants to see EJ. She remains in denial and sits numbly on a chair. Rafe sits beside her and starts to say … Sami suddenly gasps the kids are at Will’s and they were expecting them. Rafe gently assures her the kids will only hear the news from her or whoever she wants to tell them. It will not be broadcast over the police radio. All Sami wants is for EJ to be able to go home with her tonight. She speaks of him like he is still in the land of the living …. Rafe sadly states it cannot happen. She asks to see him, not wanting to leave him alone. Rafe promises to go check for her. He will also get her purse from the ambulance. Ring ring! It is EJ’s phone. Sami uncertainly answers. Tis Stefano, who demands to know where his son is and just why she is answering his phone! At the pub, Chad updates Kate how smug Stefano was about Frankfurt. She played that well. Kate finds Stefano painfully predictable. As per Chad, now the phoenix claims he something BIG planned for her. Kate cannot help but notice how happy Chad seems tonight. He will only say things are falling into place … Outside, Jordan admires Chad’s number on her phone and Abigail wonders about her smile. Jordan teases the girl about the big smile she has put on brother Ben’s face … Clyde compliments Ben as a man of integrity. He now offers to help him find something more lucrative … Ben assumes he means he wants him to work for him. Clyde will only say he can make things happen, downs his drink, and leaves him to think about it … Roman arrives at the hospital and asks about Sami. Rafe informs him EJ died in her arms and she is in utter shock. She refused to believe he was even dead at the morgue! Roman wonders whether it was a professional hit. Rafe and Abe suspect a mugging. Roman sighs what the hell was EJ thinking. He asks about the kids. They are at a party chez Wilson. Roman hates that this happened … Stefano refuses to believe EJ cannot come to the phone and thunders to put him on rrrrright now! Where is his son! Sami mumbles he is at the morgue and numbly drops the phone. Stefano accuses her of lying … Sami stares into space. Roman places a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She raises her eyes to daddy like a lost little girl. He wants to take her home. No, not while they are fixing EJ up! But she asks him to take the kids home from the party for her. Roman agrees. He will be waiting for her at the house with the kids. He reminds his daughter he loves her and hugs her. Sami nods and forces a smile. Exit Roman. Rafe comes back and lets her know he arranged it so she can see EJ now. Sami goes running, her blue eyes shining with hope … At the scene of the crime, Abe calls and asks Theo be kept away from the TV tonight. He wants to be the one to tell him about his uncle. He watches the cops investigating and wonders who the hell did it … Stefano drops his phone, sobbing MY SON MY SON! He shakes his head and weeps in horror, his dark DiMera ring glowing on his dangerous hand … The kids are chanting and playing ring around the rosy with Sonny when Roman arrives at the apartment. Their parents cannot make it now but mom said to have fun. Will notices his long face. The kids keep chanting ASHES ASHES WE ALL FALL DOWN … Sami approaches EJ’s corpse at the morgue. He is cold, shirtless, and she feels no heartbeat. She cries she is here but there is no answer or movement. His handsome face is stony and she howls in horror, now realizing she has lost the man she loves … THE END?! |
