Theresa has an unexpected visitor. Tis Annie the so-called bff who wants to go clubbing. But train wreck Theresa is no more. She boasts she bought a company. Madame Milbauer muses she is no Versace. Theresa implies Anne was not a good influence, though she is grateful she got her her job. Annie is offended, cries she will never win over people like Brady, and leaves ... Eve listens to a sad song about losing while sipping wine. She cannot stand the silence of being alone and heads for the nightclub ... Jen is home at Horton house, updating unseen unheard mama Laura on how worried she has been, given JJ lost poor Paige. However, Abigail is happily engaged to great guy Ben ... At the apartment Ben is haunted by memories of the women he strangled. Abigail wonders what has him so worked up. He pretends he could not put together something for the baby and she calms him. She always does ... Chad asks his homeless alibi down at the docks to tell Rafe what he told him. But homeless doesn't mean stupid so the hippie names his price - one hundred thousand dollars. He stand firm on it. Chad tells him to stay put and steals to DiMera mansion to get those funds ... Abigail complains to Ben this is her chaotic wedding dress day. So many dresses so little time. Ben holds his future bride and assures her she will look beautiful in any dress. He thinks their happily ever after is like a dream. But if Abigail knew the truth she would realize he was really her worst nightmare. Once Abigail is gone, Ben actually apologizes to the picture of what he believes to be his unborn baby. He sighs he is sorry for what he did to keep them safe and promises it will not happen again ... Meanwhile Abigail arrives at Horton house to try on white wedding dresses from Baron's boutique. When she mentions the house Clyde gave them Jen mysteriously warns her not to let them ever be indebted to the likes of Clyde. Abigail tries dress after dress. Nothing seems to feel perfect so she makes a scandalous suggestion ... When Abigail asks to get talented Theresa to design the dress for her big day, Jen disagrees. Abigail is upset so Jen relents, wanting to keep her pregnant daughter calm and contented. Abigail texts Theresa to come to the house for a wedding dress SOS. Theresa is on her way ... Jen jokes she should hide the silver. Abigail adds and the vodka. They giggle ... Ben is working the bar at the Edge, the new nightclub of Salem. He is haunted by memories of struggling with and strangling Paige when unsuspecting Eve sits down to order a glass of bourbon ... Chad creeps into the DiMera living room to open the safe. Andre turns on the light and greets him with sarcasm. Chad snaps who the hell are you! Andre introduces himself as his BROTHA. Chad is in a hurry. Andre taunts tis golden boy 2.0 aka the chosen one. Chad needs to take the cash fast and is not interested in a conversation. Seated Stefano calls his name. Chad turns. Now he has his attention ... Andre needs to know what Chad intends to do with the big money. Chad updates them on his alibi. Andre advises him not to be so stupid as to think Justin would not find out about the payoff, thus squashing his alibi. He asks about who might have set him up. Chad replies without hesitation. Clyde Weston, aka the hillbilly from hell. He saw him as a threat to Ben marrying Abigail even though he gave up the girl of his dreams. Andre considers. Stefano wants his son to have the money. Andre hands him an untraceable phone that will enable communication between them and their fugitive family member. Grateful Chad gets going ... Theresa arrives at Horton house with wedding dress sketches. Jen is cordial and offers her condolences about poor Paige. She asks about Eve and Theresa admits she is acting like a zombie. Jen feels terrible for her losing a child. Theresa also understands. Jen advises her to make Abigail happy with her dress design and excuses herself ... Anne appears at the Edge also to drown her sorrows and orders a dirty martini, sitting next to Eve. She accuses her of pressuring Theresa to drop her as her bff out of jealous spite. Eve stands up and snaps she is burying her only child tomorrow. Anne apologizes as she forgot, adding Theresa did not even mention it to her today. Eve leaves the same way she came. Alone ... At DiMera mansion, Stefano inhales oxygen. In walks Justin, having been sent in by butler Harold. The D.A. dramatically demands permission to search the house and grounds. Andre smoothly says to come back with a warrant. Justin intends to do just that and threatens to arrest them all if they are aiding and abetting. More scoffs ensue from the DiMera side. Justin now pompously points out he knows about their dirty dealings from his days as EJ's takeover attorney. He puts a truce on the table if they give him fugitive Chad. Stefano states he knows not where his son is. Andre airily advises the ambitious attorney to see himself out if he can. Justin pauses and picks up fish lure from the floor. There is recognition in his eyes. Stefano and Andre are as surprised as he is. When they claim it is not theirs, he pockets it ... Chad returns to his homeless hippie alibi, who now acts like he has no idea who he is. He babbles about the blue car and mind control ... Jen pays grieving drinking Eve a visit at her apartment. Eve is angry to see her. Jen assures her this is a peace mission. She wanted to check on her and suggests she speak with her folks. Eve is bitter and insists she needs no one. Jen understands how she feels. Eve doubts it for she lost her daughter her only child, who hated her when she died, making it even more painful a burden to bear. Jen sits and states she lost Jack. Eve adds but she has her kids and is not alone like her. Jen assures her they will be at the service tomorrow. Eve is sarcastic about her attempt to do good and shuts the door behind her. The she takes her wine glass and tosses it against the wall. It shatters the way her whole life did and she falls apart in tears ... Theresa and Abigail are discussing her perfect wedding dress. Theresa asks if she felt a pop with her baby when she started to show. Indeed. Theresa laments she lost that chance when Kristen DiMera stole her baby from her body. Abigail is sympathetic and reminds her Tate now has his real mom and papa Brady. Theresa replies and Abigail and baby have Ben ... At the Edge, Will drinks with Ben, who is extremely curious about Sonny. Will sighs he is not sure Sonny will ever come back to Salem for him. When Chad is mentioned, Ben rages he wants that bastard arrested. Will questions whether he is really the right suspect. He sticks up for him, then smoothly assures Ben he supports him as the guy for Abigail. He asks if Clyde is standing up for him at his wedding. Ben replies no and eagerly asks Will to be his best man. Will accepts and they share a hug ...Chad is back at the cabin when he gets an urgent text on his new phone ... Justin is on his own phone, furious that Chad the fugitive has been hiding on the Kiriakis property, at the old lake house, He recognized the fish lure as a gift his son Sonny had made for Victor at the tender age of ten. The cops are closing in on the cabin and he intends to be there soon ... The uniformed cops burst into the lake house but it is empty. Chad has already left the building ... Chad is on the move. He texts Stefano thanks and promises to be in touch shortly. There are many places a DiMera can hide in Salem. So many catacombs, secret rooms ... Abigail arrives at the Edge, excited to hear Will's best man news. She hugs her cousin. He smiles he will see Ben soon and departs. Abigail informs her fiance that Theresa is going to design her wedding dress. He is somewhat surprised but supports her. He embraces her a tad too tight upon seeing another flashback of himself strangling Paige. Abigail gasps she cannot breathe. Ben is sorry, lets go, and hugs her again, admitting he does not ever want to let her go. If only she knew how murderously much he meant it ...!
