Victor is at the hospital grumbling. How could Kayla let Caroline leave? They both know she is deteriorating fast. Kayla assured her mom they would fight this thing but she and Victor both know there is no cure. The Greek grumbles there could be a cure ... Caroline creeps into the dark old Martin mansion. The music box plays the waltz and then she sees her deceased husband Shawn smiling at her from the mirror. She suspects he has come to take her to the other side and shouts to go away! Julie arrives and consoles Caroline though she sees no one in the mirror. Caroline continues to argue to the apparition that she is not going, for she is still needed here. She accuses the apparition of being a banshee ... Diva Julie decides to call Kayla ... Stefano removes his oxygen mask at the mansion. Aiden appears, demanding to know the reason he summoned him. Andre slinks in and Stefano orders Aiden to listen to him. Andre coos they bought all his debts and therefore own him. Aiden hands him the cashier's check for $100,000. Alas it is not enough. Andre fans himself with it for fun, continues to toy with his prey, and points out there is also interest. Aiden offers to represent Chad. That offer is turned down. Stefano watches with approval as Andre informs Aiden he will be expected to follow orders as long as they need him. For now, however, he may go. Stefano is impressed. Andre makes mention of the fact that others in Salem should be made aware of his return from the other side. Stefano suggests they wait for now. Andre the elusive one muses they might not have much more time to wait. But first they do have to take care of family ... Hope is at the house of Kiriakis with Maggie going over the bicentennial plans plus her wedding plans. She wants a masquerade party. Maggie talks her out of periodic and they agree on a 1960s theme. Hope admires designer wedding dresses online. They also discuss the case, the fact that Rafe does not believe Chad is the right suspect. Hope wishes Roman would not give Rafe such a hard time ... New cop Lani hands Detective Rafe the witness interviews from the campus. He asks her to take an objective look at the crime scenes and suspects board. She does and notes the two scenarios almost seem to be some kind of set up with the similarity of key details like time ... Hope cannot wait until ambitious Justin, tough Roman and others realize what a great detective Rafe is ... Chad gets dressed in some of the clothes at the cabin. He looks part drifter part Indiana Jones and gets going for the docks, where he suspects his hippie alibi will be ... Rafe leaves and advises Lani to keep looking, she might see something else. She is a natural cop, perhaps it is in her blood ... When Julie calls Kayla she can hear agitated Caroline in the background. The doctor daughter and former flame turned friend Victor are on their way! Aiden ambles over to Hope's office at the station. She is not there at the moment though children Chase and Ciara are playing monopoly at her desk. Aiden sits down to play but loses. It stings when Ciara innocently states he is in debt. But he melts when Chase calls her sis ... Dr. Salinas arrives at the Kiriakis mansion, asking for Victor. Maggie is baffled, especially when he states Victor had summoned him for an emergency ... Kayla and Victor rush into the old Martin mansion, where Caroline is seated, complaining about the old guy from the other side wanting to take her. She momentarily does not remember them, though she remembers she is needed by her family members in Salem. Kayla cries ... Rafe meets Marlena at the town square. She tells him she is feeling better but the nights are sleepless. He asks for her profile of the killer aka Chad. Marlena questions that. She feels Chad is not the right suspect in spite of the fact that she woke up only to see him standing over her seconds after the attack ... Victor gets a call from Maggie that Salinas flew in from Peru and is waiting for him. He suggests he make his way to the hospital. That is where they are taking Caroline. Maggie and Hope are now on their way as well ... Rafe is curious about Chad's hypnosis. Marlena will only say he was striving to remember. Rafe suggests he snapped. It happens. Marlena notes not this time, cos the killer was calculating and composed ... Chad eventually finds his alibi down at the docks. The homeless hippie accepts the money he hands him and agrees he does remember him. He insists he was only asking Chad the time that night and it was exactly 2:35 am ... Caroline is taken to a hospital room. Julie and Victor fill in Maggie and Hope on how Caroline was found, the fact that she had imagined seeing her late husband and had more memory lapses. Victor solemnly states his Dr. Salinas has developed an experimental protocol that could help Caroline. Julie exclaims a cure! ...Aiden is anxious when he overhears Chase and Ciara speak of the serial killer. Ciara is worried. Aiden assures her that her mom is the best cop as she already knows and she is on the case so it will be solved ... Chad hands the hippie more money and adds it is for a new watch. Now he asks him to come to the police station and tell the cops what he just said. The hippie recoils and refuses to deal with any cops. Chad is at a loss down at the foggy docks ... Hope has concerns over this trial cure. Kayla comes back and protests over her dead body will anyone experiment on her mom ...Rafe is back at work thinking thinking thinking. Who in Salem would want to set up Chad and hurt those women??? ... Ciara is admittedly spooked by the thought of the killer killing again before he is caught. Aiden hugs the kids and promises he and Hope will keep them safe. Dangerous music plays in the background ...! THE END Ahead on Days: Chad needs help. Justin get closer to finding Chad!
