Casinos, Kisses, and Killers ...

PART 1

- At the pub, Will shows Sonny and Chad a hyperlink from the site to
the online betting that uses their site. Sonny fears the university will shut them down. Chad insists they keep it a secret until it has been fixed. Abigail and Gabi enter and notice that Will's computer was suddenly closed and there is a reluctance to discuss the website. The guys act like he was just working hard. Gabi thinks he needs a break and asks him to go for a walk. Sonny guards the computer as Will walks out with Gabi. Chad tries to keep Abigail busy with coffee and invites her out to dinner
at Chez Rouge later. She prettily smiles he spoils her and they kiss. Mel enters and her face falls. Will soon returns to the pub and sits down by Sonny. Abigail excuses herself to go see her mom. Chad thinks that was
a close call. He nervously notes that they simply must fix this gambling hacking issue on their own. They could get in big trouble. Sonny wants
to concentrate and has a look at the computer. Mel saunters up and she realizes the guys are keeping things form their girlfriends! Girls don't like that, says Miss Mel!
- Brady and Dan have been jogging together. They take a break at the town square and talk about the storm. Dan ties his shoe and laments Jen was stuck in that storm with Jack! They were in a cabin and she was only able to use her cell and tell him when she was on her way home. Brady remarks Dan is concerned. Dan gets sarcastic. Brady chuckles. Dan now fills him in on the no sex clause attached to the temporary triangle they agreed upon. Amused Brady wonders whether Jack and Jen respected
it. Dan sure hopes so. Brady advises him to seek out Jen to get some answers. They can jog by her house and pretend they need water. He pours the water out of their bottles. Dan thinks that is nuts but Brady states he will go nuts if he does not see her. They jog off together.
- At the elegant town square café restaurant, Carrie and Rafe lunch and
go over the case. She is worried that they will not be able to keep the Swiss witness a secret when he arrives. Rafe promises to handle it and
she thanks him. Rafe is determined to help save John. Carrie smiles.
She thinks he is the best thing to happen to her sister. Rafe jokes she should tell her that. They now discuss the family friction. Carrie notes
the faster they clear John, the sooner their lives will get back to normal. They reach for the bill at the same time and it rips in half. Rafe insists on paying. Then they are off to John and Marlena for his hypnosis session.
- Jen has just been brought home by Jack. He is in a hurry to leave, but she wants to discuss what happened at the cabin. He claims it is over
and he is now fine. Jen doubts it and asks him not to shut her out. What chance do they have at any future if he does not trust her? Jack calls that an ultimatum. She reminds him it was the lack of honesty that kept them apart in the past. He let down his guard in the cabin but is now pulling away. Jack admits he is embarrassed she saw him that way. Jen reasons
it was normal to experience that after being imprisoned. He whispers it is hard. Jen wants to help him. She convinces him to stay for tea and brings up his panic attack. He confesses he has had them already, though the
one at the cabin was the biggest. Jen suggests she see someone. Jack, however, is not prepared to talk to a stranger about what happened. She suggests Marlena. Jack exclaims he does not want to go back to that time. It was hard enough to experience! She is sympathetic about what he went through. He gasps he would rather focus on the future. He hopes it will include Jen and the kids. Remembering them was what kept him going. Jen stares. He whispers she saved his life. "Jennifer, I love you so much." She whispers she loves him too and he takes her face in his hands for a kiss. They kiss. Jen breaks away as she cannot think. Jack grabs her and they kiss passionately. Meanwhile, Dan has arrived at the front door and stares at the scene unfolding through the window. Brady asks him what is the matter. Now Brady has a peek and realizes this was not such a great idea. The guys take off. Inside, Jack tells Jen how connected he feels
with her. Jen has no chance to respond as Abigail has just come in. She has something she would like to say to Jack before he goes.
- Mel sits at a table with Chad and suggests he tell someone about what
is happening. He reminds missy she was not supposed to have overheard. He is confident computer genius Will can solve it fast. Mel agrees not to tell anyone, but if she was his girlfriend, she would be mad. She does not think he should keep secrets from the girl he loves and therefore urges him to tell Abigail.
- At the townhouse, Marlena reassures John before his hypnosis. He tensely refers to the fact that he could be guilty. Marlena thinks it would have been more complicated than that. John believes it was all because
of what Stefano did to him. Marlena declares the hypnosis will clear
things up and refuses to give up on him. "I know who you are." They hug, his eyes filled with dread. Austin and Carrie arrive. John is ready to find out whatever the truth is. He lies on the sofa and Marlena starts with easy questions. She asks him to talk about the day they got married. He remembers it well and smiles. "You were breathtaking!" She smiles back and asks what he remembers about December 7, 2006. He twitches. She repeats the question. Ominous music is heard. He would rather not talk about it. Marlena wonders why not. Carrie whispers to Rafe that they were getting remarried in Italy then. John finally tells Marlena what he was doing. "I killed a man ...!"
