Meanwhile Belle meets with client John, who declares he deserves to be found guilty of murder ... In Hope’s office, hard-working Shawn gets a visit from Mayor Abe, who seeks clarity on the cop in charge ... By the dark park, Rafe updates Roman on the family now being fine. He and Gabi both came home. Roman is sorry to inform the hopeful suitor that Hope left Salem indefinitely ... Gabi angrily interrupts Jake and Kate, demanding an explanation ... Rafe digests the disheartening news and blames himself for letting Hope down ... Ponytail Claire fears John could get locked up because of her. Marlena begs to differ ... Belle argues Jan is actually alive ... Abe seems disappointed Rafe left ... Roman gives Rafe a pep talk. Rugged Rafe regrets what happened to Ciara and understands why Hope cannot give up ... Gabi gets upset that Jake hooked up with enemy Kate. He scoffs cos he assumes she does not care, and rages why did she return? ... Marlena notes only Jan is to blame but Claire hates how she trusted her. Marlena praises the girl she and John are both proud of and heads down to the station to see hubby. Claire paces alone until Charlie comes to check on her. She shares she is terrified for John ... John impatiently paces. He knows he exploded. Belle reasons dangerous Jan should not have been released and still blames Sami ... Abe gets Hope is grieving but Salem still needs a commissioner. Shawn shares his communication with her. She is searching for clues on Ciara though he fears it is a lost cause ... Rafe still loves and respects Hope and says so to Roman, but he is close to breaking down, feeling her pain ... Kate claims Gabi is clueless. Gabi accuses her of going after lonely heart Jake, who missed her. Jake defends Kate and reminds Gabi she never cared. He repeats what she told him before she left. She now confesses to two lies - claiming she only used him and going to Mexico for her unwell mother. Kate watches them with cat eyes ... Abe would love Hope to come back as commissioner, but he needs an acting commiss now. He offers the job to Shawn ... Marlena enters as Belle blasts Sami to John. Marlena does not deny what Sami did was wrong. John thinks he is no better. Neither he nor Sami seemed to care about the consequences of their actions ... Charlie feels John was within his rights for snapping with Jan after she claimed she offed his daughter. When he decides he should depart, Claire cutely brings up their last kiss ... Kate wonders, as does angry Jake. Gabi admits her mother being unwell was simply a cover for the danger. Jake grills her about the using him lie. She replies he had wanted to visit in Mexico but that would have been too dangerous, so she kept him at bay. The bad guys are now behind bars so here she is. She was anticipating a happy reunion and gets catty about his affair with Kate of all people ... Legal eagle Belle updates John and Marlena on the D.A. being out of the office and the courts closed. She wishes John could go home tonight but tis not possible. John is grateful and Marlena smiles as Belle vows to bring him home ... Claire talks kiss. Charlie apologizes as she was emotional. He assumes she is not interested but she lets him know she liked his kiss ... Shawn will eventually return to Hong Kong with Belle so tis not the right time. He shakes hands with Abe, who admits it will not be easy to get a qualified commissioner. Belle arrives asking for a favor. Alas Abe cannot do more than make John’s case the first one heard come morning. That means he stays in jail tonight. Mayor Abe is relieved Shawn and Belle are alright, given the Jan drama. Shawn agrees and holds her close ... Rafe wishes he had returned earlier to assist Hope. Roman thinks he still could. Rafe agrees. He must locate her, let her know he loves her and is here, and will help her find Ciara with his resources ... Stylish Kate calls Gabi jealous and denies any real feelings exist between her and Jake. Jake blurts out he has real feelings for her. Gabi glares ... Charlie sits on the plush sofa with Claire, who states she might not be ready for a relationship. She has a history of being needy to the point of obsession and does not want to he hurt. Charlie can relate ... Kate was not expecting this. Jake assures Gabi he did care. Hurt Gabi hisses she should be with Arianna anyway. She was hoping Jake would want to move to Arizona with her and sarcastically thanks them for making this easier ... Charlie has been heartbroken many times before and has high hopes about Claire. He just enjoys being with her, even at a wild wedding, and agrees they should try to make a go of this thing between them ... Marlena feels John should not be locked up, given how his emotions are still running high. He sighs he could end up in the slammer forever ... Belle ends a call and complains to Shawn that papa John will be in jail for the night. She hates they were not wed! He laughs about his loonie wedding to Jan ... Kate stops Gabi from going and explains Chad is not aware of her and Jake's affair. Gabi scoffs she will not stop her from sleeping with his enemy behind his back and departs ... Shawn jokes he did not kiss the bride and wants to kiss the real one. He takes Belle in his arms and they soap smooch ... John meets Marlena’s gaze, and she takes his hands. Unfortunately fragile Claire is blaming herself. He suggests she go to her, but she smiles she is with Charlie now. He praises the light of his life and they romantically kiss ... Claire and Charlie are now official! Alas he must finish some work for tomorrow but will call or text her in the morning. They agree on a second kiss as sweet music plays ... Kate alludes to Jake caring for Gabi. He admits he still does but Kate is wonderful plus she gets him. Kate is relieved they are real. He repeats he cares ... Woeful Rafe and Gabi meet up at the park. He does not want to discuss Hope and asks about Jake. She does not want to discuss Jake and decides to join Arianna in Arizona. He wishes she would not, but she wants to be with her daughter. However, Salem has not seen the last of her and that’s a fact. This is far from over ... STAY TUNED! Luv Cathy |
