Alas JJ must leave. Theo texted him about a business matter he must attend to in Africa ... Roman wants answers. Rafe confesses his dad’s dangerous contacts were trying to take out the entire Hernandez clan. There had already been an attempted hit on Dario. Rafe regrets not remaining for Hope when she really needed him ... Gabi insults Gwen the slutty nanny and insists on being told Jake's whereabouts. Gwen smugly states he must be with anotha woman ... Jake is not hungry for a holiday meal and starts to slooooooowly kiss Kate, who closes her eyes ... JJ wishes he could stay and is sorry. Abigail is sorry for ruining his return. Gabi gives Gwen a dark stare as she accuses her of sleeping with Jake just to get her foot in the DiMera door once more. Gabi does not deny telling him as much and leers it was a lie. Gwen and Gabi hurl insults and Gabi demands she tell where Jake is now. Gwen smirks and suggests she go to the workshop, fully aware of what she will find. Fashionable Gabi flounces off. Chad looks intense ... Back at the dark park, Roman is glad Rafe is staying in Salem. However, Hope is not here anymore, and no one knows where she went or if she will return ... JJ says his goodbye to Jen at the Horton door. She will miss her son, who admits he gave Jack some of her pie. She stammers he does like it and he solemnly states he is grateful and called them the best family. He loves her and they share another hug ... Back at the mansion, Chad refers to Gabi's return as bad news and he has new worries. Gwen takes it all in. He stops when Abigail enters. Chad is sorry to say Gabi came home. She gasps Oh God in the house? He declares he will deal with her if she dares approach her ... Gabi walks in on giggly Kate and Jake cutely cuddling and stops in her tracks.
