Brady and Eli are baffled to find an unmade bed and a mess, but no traces of Belle ... Claire implores Jan to leave her mother alone. Her father will never love her! Jan icily turns to Shawn, who insists he will try. Jan wants rings. Marlena offers to look in her jewelry box. Audacious Jan demands the wedding bands of both John and Marlena. Or else ... Eli and Brady race back to the wedding for answers from Jan Spears ... Woeful Phillip does not deny his deep unreturned feelings for the fair Belle. Besides, he is working to become a better man. Phillip assumed they would be able to cooperate but Xander is always watching him. Maggie senses something. Phillip alludes to pressure. The redhead probes ... Sarah has seen the mystery woman’s closet. Xander came across a file indicating a sublet. Time to check the trash. Xander opens a crumpled visitor’s badge from Statesville. There is a name which is more that likely an alias ... As Shawn stands in stony silence, Marlena explains the symbolism of the rings. Jan hurries her. Marlena pronounces them hubby and wife. John goes ballistic and grabs her by her scrawny neck, choking her as she falls back on the couch, the flowers falling from her flailing hand. Eli, Brady and Shawn finally pull John off. Eli calls 911 as Marlena finds a pulse. Shawn orders Claire to stay put as he heads back to the inn. John curses he did not mean to go so far but snapped when she said Belle was dead. He tries to follow Shawn. Eli stops him ... Phillip asks Belle why she is lying in his bed. The blonde in the silk black slip slowly stirs ... John rages as Eli announces he must arrest him. Brady defends his da. The ambulance is heard approaching. Marlena will accompany the girl to the hospital. John wants to accompany his wife. Eli talks arrest. Brady begs Eli to focus on finding Belle first. Eli calls for backup. Brady assures his father it will be fine. Marlena urges John to go find Belle with Brady ... Shawn returns to the empty disheveled room and finds Belle’s heartfelt wedding vows on the floor ... Belle gasps to Phillip that Jan drugged and left her for dead. He holds her in his arms and promises she is safe ... Sarah and Xander hide when they hear Ms. Vandercount. She turns on the shower. Xander refuses to leave without a look at the lady who gives Phillip his orders. Sarah is scared they will be caught. The water stops ... Claire bawls and blames herself for believing Jan. Charlie wants to be her rock. She puts her unhappy head on his shoulder ... Eli joins Shawn. There are no leads. They wonder about an accomplice. Shawn becomes suspicious of Phillip the jilted suitor ... Belle gasps to Phillip she tried to get Jan’s gun. Luckily Jan wanted her to live. She asks Phillip to call her folks ... Brady is with John, who sighs he needs Belle and rubs his neck, stressed about the situation. He lost it like never before! Ominous music plays. Brady points out Jan was still breathing. John knew she was unconscious. All he could hear was the rage in his mind. He wishes they would hear from doc ... Marlena is in the hospital waiting area. Jan simply must make it! Sarah and Xander have escaped and he pauses at the park to call to a contact at Statesville. Turns out Ms. Vandercount visited none other than Kristen DiMera ... Eli and Shawn show up at the Kiriakis mansion and brush by Maggie. Shawn runs up the stairs to see if Phillip has his wife. Eli explains Belle was abducted by Jan and they suspect Phillip was her partner in crime ... Shawn races into Phillip’s bedroom, furious to find him with his wife. Belle insists Phillip was not involved and Jan acted alone. Shawn hugs her in relief. Phillip steps away. Belle asks him to try calling her folks. Phillip got no answer ... Claire soon gets a text from John and breathes a sigh of relief since Belle is alright. She apologizes for the horrible date. Charlie was happy to be here for her. Claire swoons and then he kisses her ... Maggie defends noble Phillip. The prodigal son comes downstairs, agrees he is innocent, and announces to Eli he came across Belle in his bed. Tis a mystery but he gave her and Shawn some time together ... Shawn is sorry to inform Belle that John blew up and choked Jan, who passed out. She cries she hates her but hopes she will survive for her father’s sake. Shawn just wants to head home ... Back at the station, Brady shares big news with John from Shawn. Belle has been found safe and sound. Marlena now steps in with a stony face. John worriedly wonders whether Jen Spears is alive ... Luv Cathy |
