Julie argues Eli should attend. Eli sighs Lani would not share her sentiment ... Replay of the Jan fiasco. The bride of Frankenstein is wearing Belle’s gown, much to the horror of the Tink family, and cackles she cannot wait to wed Shawn! Shawn demands to know what she did to his beloved Belle. John issues a threat. Jan airily claims Belle is alright and snaps at phoning Brady to stop or Belle dies. John eyes her like a hawk. Jan wants everyone’s phone in her pretty basket. Marlena humors her and quietly warns John they must play along with the madwoman. The gang want proof Belle is okay. Jan shows a picture of the bride all tied up. Shawn flat out refuses to wed her. She grins she has a gun on Belle! Marlena deduces she does not have her gun here, however. Jan states it is with someone she trusts. One wrong move here and Belle is a goner! Claire reminds the bride of Frankenstein they are friends. Jan looooves she is her maid of honor. Claire cries for mama Belle. Jan fumes she is fine! Marlena nods at crushed Claire so she assures jittery Jan she is happy for her. Jan smugly thanks her for revealing Belle’s whereabouts. Claire is horrified to do the math. She gasps Jan agreed her folks belonged together. Jan leers she lied. Shawn will always be hers ... Julie has heard Eli’s sad story and gets miffed about Lani making him leave their home. Eli urges her not to be mad at Lani. She snaps she is mad at him ... Stylish Lani recounts to Kristen how close she was to getting the D.A. to drop the charges when she charged in and confessed. Eli should have left well enough alone ... Marlena politely asks Jan for a private word. Sympathetic Charlie sits with Claire, who feels like a fool. Jan complains to Marlena about the crummy dress and the lack of a great wedding destination. At least she gets to wed Shawn. Marlena broaches the reality of Shawn belonging with Belle. Jan insists she is the worthy woman ... Defiant Shawn stands by John and Brady, watching. John explains Doc will not be able to change Jan’s mind about her decades old fantasy so the ceremony must go on. Marlena asks Jan about her plans post ceremony. Cake, a honeymoon and happily ever after. Marlena mentions her coma. Jan gets testy so she drops it. John mutters to Shawn they must buy time with the fake wedding to give them time to save Belle. Shawn agrees. He would do anything to keep Belle safe and lets his belligerent bride know he is ready ... Kristen wishes Lani would focus on her happily ever after with Eli. He did what he did out of love for her and their babies. Lani is hurt he lied ... Julie blasts Eli for his unilateral decision making. Abe counters he was cornered with limited options. Julie talks the importance of honesty and trust. Eli understands he was wrong ... Jan just loves her deal of the day. John whispers to Brady she still considers Belle a threat so sis needs saving stat ... Jan smiles she will be the best stepmother to Claire, who humors her while Shawn watches. Scary music plays. Brady whispers to John he can sneak out unnoticed and get to Belle before Jan does. Marlena approaches them in the corner and complains she cannot change Jan’s mind. John suggests a super long ceremony so Brady can slip out. Brady stands by the door as Marlena proceeds with the wedding. Jan has no clue. For now ... Back at Julie’s Place, she points out Eli needs a plan to win Lani back. She believes Abe should make him leave his home and then Lani will take him back for the sake of her babies. Time to strategize! Eli must return to the station and assures her he will try to get his beloved to forgive him ... Kristen reminds Lani that Eli was just doing his job. Lani reminds her he promised no more secrets. Kristen blames herself for making her cover after she stabbed slick Vic. She should be loyal to her husband now. He proved he loved her deeply enough to do anything. But how does torn Lani feel? Minister Marlena slowly reads and talks about love. When she asks if anyone can show just cause the couple should not be joined, Jan turns around, her eyes flashing with rage. Then she turns back, smug no one spoke up. Marlena continues. The son of John Black slips out without a sound. Brady is now on the move! Claire is asked to do her reading. She reads what love is with a halting voice. Disgusted dad Shawn shouts to stop ... Mayor Abe is asked to check Julie’s guest list. She scolds him for letting Eli keep consequential secrets from his wife. He felt it was not his place to intervene. She reasons if he had intervened and removed Trask from the Kristen case - as Lani asked - none of this would have happened. Dapper Abe does not deny it ... Lani switches the subject to Kristen. She admits she decided Rachel should not visit as it was hard for the child, but then Marlena made her see the light. Five years is a long time, but she will get her happily family back after that. Lani refuses to discuss Eli anymore ... Out of breath Brady catches up to Eli at the square and begs him to come help him save his sister, who is a prisoner at the Salem Inn ... Charlie looks spooked as Jan warns Shawn what will happen to Belle if he does not honor their deal. Marlena suggests he deep breathe. He does and so the farce continues. Marlena asks Jan aka Janet if she takes Shawn ... She gushes she does! John is standing at the back with a solemn expression. The clock is ticking faster by the Salem second ... Kristen emotionally exclaims Lani not forgiving and being with Eli means her whole sacrifice meant nothing. Lani weeps ... Eli wants backup, but Brady throws caution to the wind and takes off to save his sister. Eli joins him ... Shawn has just said I do. John shuts his eyes ... Abe admits he too is fed up and wants to move forward. Julie just wants the crazy kids together before Lani goes into labor ... Lani does long to forgive Eli. Easier said than done ... Jan wants a kiss. Marlena wants her to wait until she pronounces them husband and wife. Jan suddenly realizes the guy with the rings is gone ... Back at the Salem Inn, Eli and Brady burst into Belle’s room, but what they discover is not what they were expecting. Brady gasps in horror ... Luv Cathy |
