She spies spots on the glasses and asks Sheila to help when she arrives earlier than Eli ... Val updates Eli on her Washington offer. He is proud and plans to visit. She laments Abe did not like her accepting ... At the square laughing Abe and Lani end a video chat with Theo and Celeste. Abe now sadly notes Nicole’s death hit Brandon heard. He knows it was also hard on Eric ... Sarah joins Eric at the pub to apologize for drinking too much and acting up last time she saw him. The pub is empty as Roman is helping at the Horton Center. Sarah suggests he accompany her to Maggie’s but Eric feels less than thankful ... Adrienne is ready for fake tears when she and Justin enter the living room where Victor is sitting before the fireplace with Maggie. Adrienne cries as Justin notes she needs to know where Sonny is. Will slips into the foyer with flowers as Victor points out he is protecting Sonny from him. Will walks in wishing Victor a happy Thanksgiving regardless. Victor grumbles to go elsewhere cos he refuses to let him betray Sonny again. Will sighs he understands as he was with Paul, gives Maggie the flowers and steps away. The redhead blasts the glum Greek patriarch about his less than forgiving holiday spirit ... Sarah plugs her nose and drinks Roman’s hangover remedy. Eric chuckles. She wishes he would come to the Kiriakis mansion and plays the Holly card. She wears Eric down with a giggle and they go, Eric carrying a bottle of scotch for the sourpuss of the Kiriakis estate ... Julie is glad about the glasses and orders Sheila to keep cleaning. Sheila explains she is not working for her here so r-e-s-p-e-c-t or she leaves. Julie apologizes and admits she is under pressure. She still assumes Sheila is there to be paid. Sheila boasts she is now the executive assistant of the mayor. Julie assumed she was here for her earlier job offer. Doug interrupts the heated exchange ... Abe complains to Lani about Val’s suggestion he leave Salem. Lani argues there are still some options. She gets a text about a domestic disturbance, hugs him and heads off. The Salem P.D. is short staffed on this day ... Val does not want to choose between her dream job and dream man ... Victor fumes the holiday is supposed to be for family! Enter Sarah and Eric. Victor snaps that is the man who killed his godson and stole Nicole from Eric. No way in hell will he break bread with him ... At the park Will takes a call from mama Sami, happy to hear EJ is now able to communicate. He sighs Sonny is not in Salem and he has no idea when he will see him again ... Doug hears both Julie and Sheila’s complaint. Enter Eli and Val. Sheila asks arriving Abe to confirm she works for him. Abe tells the crowd that is true. Eli apologizes for not updating Julie. Julie is sorry for the mixup. Sheila accepts and made sweet potato pie. Abe adds as did Lani, who is running late. Julie assures Miss Watkins – aka Sheila – she really is sorry. Val now greets Abe, who lets her know she looks lovely. He wishes Sheila a happy Thanksgiving until he hears she lost his shoe ticket. He growls he liked those shoes. Eli intervenes ... Eric decides to depart the Kiriakis mansion. Maggie and Sarah are so sorry. Maggie is especially embarrassed and excuses herself to the kitchen. Adrienne and Justin exit as well. She tells Victor to choke on his turkey. Stepdaughter Sarah blasts him after Eric leaves and accuses him of making everyone including Maggie miserable. She hopes she shoves her wedding ring in the turkey. Victor glares at her ... Justin and Adrienne are now at the square. She still wants to somehow find Sonny. Easier said than done ... Victor greedily takes an appetizer from Maggie’s tray and stuffs it in his mouth. She suddenly cries for help cos hubby is choking! Sarah to the rescue ... The turkey is the talk of the private party at Doug’s Place. The guests are given their seats and Doug makes all hold hands and reveal what they are thankful for. He praises his wife who is inspired even after all these years. She gives thanks for him right back. Always. Sheila is thankful to be out of the slammer and also for good friend Eli, who is at her side. Abe is thankful Theo survived and praises all who supported him including Val, whom he calls a wonderful woman. She tearily tells all she is thankful for much especially Abe. Eli explains he got a text from Lani about being thankful for their love and support in the face of their loss. Eli seconds the notion and adds he loves them each and every one. Doug now thanks God as the guests close their eyes. They are blessed. Amen ... Adrienne and Justin have a casual dinner at the square café. He is thankful they are back together and they exchange I love yous. Will approaches and admits John and Marlena decided to spend the time at home. Adrienne insists he join them ... Dr. Sarah has saved Victor from choking on his appetizer. The Greek tycoon is sorry for his bad behavior and wants to make amends. He asks Eric to stay after all. Maggie agrees. Here comes Holly. Eric picks her up and grins he is going to sit beside this angel ... Abe and Val have a moment alone at the private party. She woefully states she does not want to leave him. He sighs assistant Sheila said he was not being supportive. Tender music plays as he praises her professional accomplishment and he admits he cannot hold her back. That means they will make the long distance thing work. She hugs him and he vows to keep her in his life. Then they kiss ... After dessert Justin realizes Victor tried to call him and did not leave a message. Adrienne goes with him after assuring forlorn Will he is family ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Holly happily draws with Eric and Sarah on her either side. The little girl is having a great time and Eric gets her to giggle when he tickles her to make her gobble. Sarah smiles in approval ... Sheila emerges from the kitchen where Doug and Julie are still singing. Sheila wants to hit the road and go home. Eli wanted to wait for Lani and hesitates, looking at his phone for ... In the bedroom Sarah is with Holly as Eric finishes the bedtime stories. They are both glad he was here for the holiday. Sarah admits holidays can be hard. Eric can relate but now neither is alone ... Thankful Victor makes Maggie smile when he informs her he sent the plane to bring Sonny home for Will. She hugs him and declares he made her day. Magic kiss ... Will woefully looks at his and Sonny’s wedding photo on his phone and leaves him a Happy Thanksgiving message.
