Sheila is sorry about her food poisoning and rolls her eyes when he turns to remove the residue from his shiny shoe ... Paul summons Brady ... Will is outside the pub leaving Sonny another anxious message ... John finds Marlena dressed and delighted in her room. She is free to go home. He kisses sweetheart ... Ben slowly states he hates being played. Claire insists she is on his side but he knows better. She covered for Tripp ... Ciara does not understand why Tripp set up Ben. He believed he was guilty! She gasps when he hisses he only regrets Ben is not behind bars ... Claire claims she only found out after Ben had been cleared that Tripp framed him. She gushes she got closer to Tripp which is good for them both. Ben threatens to turn him in ... Ciara thinks the cabin fire could have been an accident. Tripp still considers Ben a killer. He blasts her for making him their roommate. Ciara snaps Hope could have lost her job. She believed Tripp was a better man ... Abe instructs Sheila to take his bagged shoes to be cleaned and bring him his extra shoes from his office. She assures him he will not regret letting her keep her job. On the way out she hugs Val ... Val announces to Abe they need to talk ... Will enters Marlena’s room and apologizes for interrupting the romantic kissing couple. No harm done. Marlena gushes there is good news. John marvels she is headed home. They ask to see his and Paul’s new place on the way. Will admits he actually moved out ... Brady is sympathetic. Paul sighs he thought he found his soulmate. Brady can relate. But they will both find love again. Paul hopes so ... But Will and Sonny belong together. Brady asks about his plans. Paul is moving away from Salem ... Abe sits with Val in a room. She gushes she has good news. Her old hospital in DC offered her the position of chief of staff. She asks Abe to join her. He is flabbergasted given he is the Salem mayor. She suggests he come eventually. He points out he made a promise to the town. She talks long distance but that does not work for traditional Abe ... Alone with Marlena, Will admits he feels awful but Paul wanted the truth. She tells him he was right but feels badly for Paul. However, Will and Sonny belong together. Will wishes he could simply find Sonny ... John joins Paul and Brady and is sorry about the breakup. Brady sighs Paul wants to leave Salem. John disagrees. Paul tells him it is too late, he has already arranged to return to San Francisco. His mom made him aware of a clinic that could help him walk again. John tries to be positive. He gets choked up and asks if his departure is for the right reasons. Paul points out he would be with the mom he misses. He hopes to walk. However he will miss them. John has tears in his eyes ... Claire tells Ben to back off Tripp cos he could go to jail. She could get in trouble too! She wonders how he found out so Ben updates her on pressuring Wyatt. Claire wonders if he will tell Ciara. Ben replies he already did ... Ciara fumes Tripp framed someone again! Before it was Aunt Kayla. She asks how he planted the print. ISA Steve once told him the details of a case. She now hears how Claire did the math and offered to help him. Ciara feels like a fool. Tripp argues he did it all for her. She snaps his motives were purely selfish ... Will laments Adrienne said Sonny left town on the Titan jet. Victor was tight lipped about the flight plan and insulted him. Marlena is sympathetic. He adds Sonny is not taking his calls. Marlena urges him to keep the faith ... John takes a look at Paul’s new clinic online and is impressed by the success rate. Brady sighs he will miss baby brother. Paul will miss them as well but they will video chat. John chuckles, wipes away a tear, and wonders when he goes. Knock knock ... Claire is glad Ben did the right thing and gushes Ciara is gonna break up with Tripp now - but Ben cannot go to the cops on Tripp. Ben snaps he set him up. She slyly suggests they are even since he is working with her to steal Tripp’s girl ... Ciara accuses Tripp of being jealous of Ben. Matter of fact after he convinced her Ben was still a criminal they slept together! If only she had known the truth ... Tripp bitterly gets it. He was only the second choice ... Val argues this is her big chance. Abe realizes she will not pass on this professional opportunity. He wishes she would stay since he does not want a long distance love. She does not agree and exits in a huff. Enter Sheila. Abe looks heartbroken ... Paul’s new physical therapist Luke is pleased to meet Paul the star pitcher. Luke calls him his idol cos his coming out gave him the courage to come out. Paul smiles thanks and hopes he will help him get out of the chair one day. Luke grins. Brady and John exchange a knowing glance ... Ben ends his unholy alliance with Claire cos he does not trust her and he will not deceive Ciara. Claire agrees but warns him Tripp and Ciara should never know they ever worked together ... Tripp loves Ciara and assumed she loves him. She did but he deceived her! He demands to know whether she harbors feelings for Ben. Pause. He dares her to deny it. Ciara notes that does not matter, all that matters is them. He bitterly deduces they are done and gets back to work. Ciara looks ready to cry ... Abe unhappily updates Sheila on Val wanting to change their relationship to long distance. Sheila suggests he is being selfish ... Will updates Marlena on Adrienne and Justin attempting to extract Sonny’s flight plan from Victor. Marlena is upbeat. Will wonders whether he should check on Paul. She explains she and John are here. Will now gets a call from Adrienne and hopes for the best ... Brady finds out for Paul that Luke is single. Alone with John, P.I. Paul is sorry for abandoning his Black Patch position. He will miss working by his side and loved their time together. The big guy gushes it was a great beginning. Paul is so proud of his heroic pop! Ditto. John sheds a tear and praises Paul’s big heart. They exchange emotional I love yous and embrace ... Sheila chides Abe for being sexist. He orders her to go back to answering the phone ... Alas Will bears bad news. Victor refuses to reveal Sonny’s whereabouts. Marlena knows they will get their happily ever after the way she and John did ... It is time for Paul to go. Violins play in the background. He will remember the family he found in Salem. Brady and John call him a hero. Paul feels like a better man for not hiding who he is and credits Sonny and Will. John and Brady exit with Luke, who is arranging for Paul’s departure. Paul takes a deep breath and one last look around ... Claire and Tripp talk about what happened with Wyatt and Ben at the café while they work. She wonders whether he spoke to Ciara. He sighs they broke up. She is sorry. So is he and he steps away. Claire smiles like the cat that has caught the canary ... Ben stops rushing Ciara at the park. She gasps she broke up with Tripp, refuses to reveal more and keeps walking ... STAY TUNED! |
