Xander fumes after a phone call with Victor, who explained Phillip's explanation. Meanwhile Sarah overhears Phillip on the phone, arrogantly assuring his contact Victor believed him and will make Xander withdraw ... Lani ends a sad call at the station with Brady. Eli wonders what he said to upset her. Rachel was visiting Kristen at the slammer and wanted to stay. Now Brady believes she should not visit her mother at all. Eli is sorry. Lani too. She assumes her honey is coming with her to the pub to meet Abe and Theo, who is leaving today. Eli will catch up after he takes care of something ... Charlie brings boss Xander his protein shake. Xander thanks him for the filing and gives him another pep talk about Claire. Charlie solemnly states she came to see him ... Claire wonders what Jan was smiling about. The loon hands her the good luck crystal she wanted her to have and babbles about bunnies. Claire loves it and opens up ... Phillip warns his impatient contact they must wait for the right time to make their move ... Ding dong! Sarah pretends to come downstairs and opens the front door to stylish Belle, who wants to see Phillip. Sarah lets her in and leaves. Belle bears big news concerning his case. Phil grins like a rogue ... The Carvers have come together at the pub to see off Theo, who is flying back to South Africa. Lani wishes he were not so far away, but he loves his life and friends there. Abe chuckles when Lani teases he must have a girl. There is but the relationship is rather new. He adds Claire kissed him last night, which was awkward ... At the flowery square, Claire updates Jan on being turned down by Theo, but deciding to give suitor Charlie a chance. Alas he turned down her flirty Frappuccino ... Charlie suspects Claire was stringing him along. Xander talks timing. The big guy boasts after Sarah saw what he had to offa, she could not get enough of his love. Speak of the devil! Phil pours himself coffee from a silver pot as Belle reveals her deal with the D.A. He can get probation if he pleads guilty. The hothead refuses, his eyes cold as ice. He talks trial. Belle wishes he would accept the deal and argues he threatened Jan and grabbed her arm. He reasons Xander would use it to get him removed from Titan. Belle warns him it could drag out. He would need his name cleared. She sighs Shawn would not agree ... Shawn is trying to keep busy at the station to keep his mind off Belle spending time with Phillip. He could not bear to lose his wife. Eli can relate ... Theo shares how he encouraged Claire to move on. Meanwhile Claire is completely focused on a future with Charlie. Maybe he already moved on? Jan will not let her give up and starts to call him herself ... Xander makes the introductions as Sarah teases him. They cutely hug. He gestures for Charlie to get lost so he does. Once they are alone, Sarah tells him he was right. There is something about Phillip ... Claire begs Jan to stop. Charlie might think she is a freak! Charlie appears and wonders. Jan confronts him for not accepting Claire’s interest or cappuccino and demands an explanation. He replies she was kissing another guy. Busted! Abe is happy to hear Theo is excited about becoming an uncle. Theo wonders how things are between Lani and hubby. They overcame and he promised not to go behind her back the way he did when he arrested Kristen. Abe pauses as he remembers Eli confiding how he recorded Kristen’s confession for the D.A. as demanded. He explained himself to Kristen and implored her not to let Lani go to jail. Kristen confessed to save her best friend, but Eli felt badly for Rachel. Back to the present. Dapper Abe clearly still has concerns ... Shawn asks if Eli and Lani are alright these days. Eli insists they are fine, states he and Belle seems solid and heads off ... Phillip suggests Belle has Shawn’s interest at heart, but she insists this is best for him. A loss could send him to the slammer and their case is not strong. He wants her to work her magic ... Xander and Sarah get a cozy table at Julie’s Place to continue their clandestine conversation. He probes what she knows about Phillip. She overheard him getting mad over the phone about a problem, Xander’s suspicions, and a secret deal. Then today he told his contact Victor had believed his story. Xander is enraged ... Theo’s ride is about to arrive. Mayor Abe wants to visit his son in South Africa as soon as he has time off. Theo promises the family he will be back after the babies are born. They exchange I love yous. Papa Abe is proud but gets a call and steps outside. Eli rushes in to say farewell for now. Theo tells him to care of sis and babies. Always ... Claire accuses Charlie of spying. He explains Xander said to be bold, so he came by with flowers, only to find her kissing that other guy. Jan laughs it was just Theo and gets a call from the D. A’s office that shocks her to her crooked core ... Belle joins Shawn at the station. She convinced Phillip to accept a plea deal. Her work with him is forever finished. He has stars in his eyes. Meanwhile at the Kiriakis mansion, Phillip takes one long last look at a phone photo of Belle, the one who got away. He heads outside to run her out of his system ... Xander and Sarah compare stories. She wonders what Phillip’s game plan really is ... Lani misses Theo already and admits she is overly emotional like when she spoke with Brady earlier. She steps away to the washroom and Abe asks Eli whether Brady told her the truth. Not this time. Eli is stressed about the situation. Abe wonders whether he intends to tell Lani the truth himself ... Claire calls Theo her ex. He now lives in South Africa and they were both sad about Ciara, hence the impulsive kiss. She would rather give Charlie a chance. He seems happy to hear she would like to start seeing him ... Sarah stops impulsive Xander from calling Victor. First they must have proof positive against slick Phil ... Jogging Phil pauses at the park to drink dome water. Someone is watching ... Shawn is shocked Phil actually agreed to the plea deal. He is sorry he was so bugged about it. Belle gushes she loves only him and gets down on her knees to cutely propose. Next week is their anniversary. He agrees with a hell yes, twirls her around and kisses her. Obsessed Jan watches through the window. Dangerous drums play ... Charlie takes insecure Claire’s hand and suggests dinner. She says tonight. Tis a date ... Xander probes. Sarah notes Phillip did sound desperate like the other party was more powerful. Xander wonders who the co-conspirator is ... Philip turns around, unpleasantly surprised to see ... Back at the pub, Eli whispers Lani would never forgive him. Abe argues she loves him, and they are having a family. Eli believes he must keep his secret at least until after the babies are born.
