There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Paige listens quietly outside her door as Kayla reminds Eve inside the apartment that she remembers what Jack did. The R word is spoken. The one that refers to an assault on a woman. Horrified Paige now knows what Jack did and heads for the pub. It is rather empty. The pigtail girl numbly puts down her bag in an empty pub booth, pondering … She sits and flashes back to JJ’s strange reaction when she brought up the attack on Kayla that happened all those years ago. She gasps it was his dad who did it and picks up her phone. To call or not to call? A group of college girls get coyly close to JJ at the beer bash as unseen Bev smugly snaps pics. They swarm him so as to make him appear to be a player. Ring ring! JJ gets a text from Paige. She needs to talk. Paige lets Rory chat to the girls and texts her right back. Paige texts she is presently at the pub but wants to meet at Dan’s place for a discussion. JJ is over the moon … At the square, Bree explains she still remembers why Aiden left Portland and it is understandable. He is surprised she is in Salem and appears relieved her flight leaves soon. Bree emotionally exclaims she thinks of Meredith every day. Aiden is uneasy. Hope notices the nervous exchange and wonders. Detective Hope now gets a call. Aiden admits to Bree he remembers his wife as well. Bree is sad she lost her good friend the sweet person. She says goodbye and goes. Hope emerges with the gourmet popcorn, asking how Aiden knows her old friend from mommy and me Bree. Pause. He will only say he knew her in Portland as she was a friend of his wife. Hope sighs what a small world. She notices his frazzled face and adds the memories must have come flooding back. He does not deny it though he does not seem to want to share the nature of those memories … At the pub, Anne warns Theresa that Brady will not give her a pass this time. Theresa the terrible refuses to give up on her guy and will explain why in private … At the hospital, Eric and Marlena worry about Brady binge drinking or even worse! Eric fears he could go back to Kristen the she devil! Marlena confers with unseen unheard John on the phone. She promises the recently released Salem patient she will update him as necessary. Eric hugs his mother and she sighs she wants to strangle that Theresa. Just then the elevator door opens. Theresa and Anne start to step out but jump back in when Marlena is ready to pounce. Mama Marlena smiles to Eric just wait! She intends to track down that Theresa and give her a piece of her mind … Kristen is stunned to see Brady waiting at her hotel room. He drawls much has happened. Such as? Betrayed Brady announces they are not done, him and her! She lets him in and tells him not to get mad again. He announces he believes her truth. She was the only one who was up front! Kristen is not sure what to make of it. He fills her in on both John and Theresa deceiving him, how he overheard. He now realizes the recording Kristen played was very real. She is sorry and hugs him, relieved. Brady solemnly hugs her back, his gaze less than loving. Kayla the empowered woman notes that was long ago. Jack worked hard to change. Eve gets glib. Kayla accuses her of being the same person who tried to destroy her sister’s marriage. She knows JJ would never hurt Paige. Eve snaps he already stopped her from going to Stanford. JJ will never be good enough for her daughter. Kayla dares her to admit her dislike of JJ is really because of her anger toward Jennifer not Jack! Eve states why Paige the good girl is better than JJ the hoodlum. Kayla argues Frankie loved Jennifer, not Eve, and that is her real problem. Eve denies it and sarcastically refers to Stephanie’s unsavory relationships. She will not let her girl have an unsavory relationship, which is actually all one can expect from the likes of JJ. Paige will have to face the facts eventually. Kayla walks out in a huff and Eve slams the door, fuming. Paige decides she wants to be there for JJ … JJ explains to Rory that Paige wants to meet. Rory wishes the best for him and finds out they are meeting Chez Dan … Meanwhile Theresa and Anne have run all the way to the town gate to avoid the wrath of Marlena! They sit on a bench for a rest. Theresa tells her babbling boss to stop talking so much. Anne gets irate. Theresa stammers she is stressed. They start moving again to lose Marlena but lo and behold she appears with Eric seconds after Theresa refers to her as a crazy beeeeech! Marlena blasts her for trying to kill John. Madame Milbauer leaps forward to defend her friend. Theresa suggests John could be brain damaged and confused. Marlena calls Anne the accomplice. Anne claims to be compassionate, a lover of laughter. She quotes Shakespeare. Theresa implores cousin Eric to consider that Kristen is an evil woman who twists the truth. Kristen was out to get her cos Brady was hers. Eric reasons that recording was real. Theresa snaps no jury would ever convict her, though it seems her not so loyal cousin Eric would! Marlena knows not what will happen to her but make no mistake, she and Brady are over. Theresa begs to differ. Marlena cannot believe the girl’s gumption … Kristen excitedly anticipates a new beginning. Brady scoffs. Dangerous music plays. She knows there is a long road ahead but starting as friends is still a start. She showed him the truth cos she loves him and knows he feels something for her. Brady turns away, then turns back. He scoffs again when she repeats it could be a fresh start. He now drops a bomb shell. They might have had a chance if not for her latest betrayal! He saw her in bed with his best friend Dan! She begs him to listen and states they did not do what it looked like. He refuses to believe they stopped cos he knows what he saw! Kristen wails she went to Dan to discuss Brady. They were lamenting over losing their loves ones. Brady gets sarcastic. She claims they were after comfort but stopped since he loves Jen and she loves Brady. She begs for his forgiveness for the slip. Brady glares at her in disgust. She begs him to say something. The billionaire heir bitterly states she always falls into bed with someone near and dear to him. Nothing has changed. She is still playing her pain game with him. She used him against John and even drugged and assaulted his brother. Then he took her back but she set her sights on his best friend! Who next? Victor?! She insists that is not the case. She was heartbroken! Brady rages if she did not stab him in the heart by bedding his bff, maybe they would not be over. But he does not believe for a Salem second that this was not planned. He rages at her to go to hell with everyone else who betrayed him. She whimpers and whispers she looooves him. But belligerent Brady never wants to see her face again and slams the door behind himself. Kristen hangs her head. JJ gets to Dan’s place first and anxiously asks God to help. Outside the pub, Bev orchestrates a chance meeting with Paige and jokes about JJ partying with women in the woods. She shows the pictures to pouty Paige and taunts her player guy was flirting again. Paige storms off … JJ looks in Dan’s fridge while waiting for his dream girl. Olives and beer on the same shelf. He opts for a beer to take off some of the edge. He takes a drink and texts his girl. Were oh where could she be? Theresa primly points out time will tell. Marlena has had enough of her crazy zone and departs. Before he leaves as well, Eric informs his cousin how deeply disappointed he is. He repeats mama Marlena’s warning to stay far away from Brady and goes after her. Anne agrees it might be wise to steer clear of Brady and his cozy clan. Theresa smiles she has a secret but seeks a more secluded spot to make her big reveal … Hope has the popcorn bags ready and suggests another Halloween movie. Aiden unexpectedly announces it might not be wise to have a family movie night after all. Hope wonders what changed. He stammers his son is not a fan of the scary. Hope notes the timing of Bree bringing back memories of his wife and this sudden cancellation. Aiden claims he does not want to go too fast, for the sake of the children. Hope forces a smile and agrees perhaps another time. Aiden the attorney excuses himself to witness interview, gives her a quick kiss, and drawls he will see her soon, though he diverts his eyes. Hope watches him walk away ... Eve meets with Dr. Chung at the hospital. The wannabe revived singer assumes it is about her operation tomorrow. Dr. Chung bears serious news about her situation. Her pre-op tests have revealed a problem. The banshee in the background is strangely silent … Paige is in tears over the flirty pictures of JJ with the girls in the woods and tries to tell herself this was nothing but a setup. It must be! She now enters Dan’s apartment and comes face to face with JJ. He has been drinking beer on this day. He slurs he missed her and holds her tight. She quietly asks him what he was doing today. Just waiting and hoping and texting her. He makes no mention of the party so Paige snaps to stop the lies! Kristen cries she was so cloooooose, then calls herself a fool. Why oh why? She sends ice cubes and the vase flying across the room in her fury and takes off to clear her head … Marlena and Eric are mighty relieved when Brady returns to the Kiriakis mansion. They are sympathetic about what happened but he exclaims they do not even know the half of what happened to him today! He wants to be aloooooooone. Marlena worries the addict should not be alone and adds John is worried as well. Brady assures them he will not be falling off the wagon anytime soon. The family members reluctantly agree to give him his space. Marlena reminds him not to trust Kristen. Brady readily agrees. He rages he never wants to see that BITCH again! Kristen ends up all alone on a park bench, crying her heart out. When she hears noisy Theresa and Anne approaching, she hides behind the trees. Anne advises her friend to spit out her secret already, fatigued and frazzled from the long walk in high heels. Theresa triumphantly shares what her secret weapon is. She is pregnant and Brady is the baby daddy! Kristen’s dark DiMera eyes widen. She now has motive and opportunity …! THE END NEXT ON DAYS: Kristen knows what she needs to do ... |
