There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Nicole rushes to Dan’s side. He is out cold at the park thanks to her killer throw. He rolls over and unsteadily gets up as she praises yoga. He calls yoga a four letter word. Nicole suggests ice but Dan the downtrodden man wants to be left alone. She insists on driving and demands his keys. He shouts she clocked him in the head with her bad coordination. She considers herself a coordinated graceful woman. The little boy Dan helped tie his shoes peers at the pair. Nicole thinks Dan is to blame for the dangerous game. The little boy sides with Dr. Dan. She was mean to throw the football at his head. Nicole thinks it is mean that Dan is acting like she did it intentionally. Dan suggests his new little friend head back to his mom. A high five and he scurries off. Nicole wants to drive his car but Dan refuses. She suddenly grabs his keys and happily holds them up, winning. Nicole loves to win … Marlena hands patient Paul her card but he thinks he is just fine. Abigail decides to leave his room to let him rest but he wants that girl to stay. She makes him feel better! She gushes he was generous in his donation and is now ashamed she did not recognize the sports star. Her boyfriend will never forgive her! Paul admits he is disheartened about the boyfriend. Out in the hall, Anne excitedly offers any assistance to the hot new patient. When Jordan explains he is with recently reinstated Abigail, the HR hellcat is enraged. She suspects Horton pulled strings to get the SLUT back. Marlena leans down and calls that slander. Annie insists she speaks the truth but is sorry for the word and the way she feels! Exit Madame Milbauer. Jordan thanks Marlena for intervening. Marlena now asks about that message she left her. Jordan tenses. At the club, Sonny seconds to Ben that he and Chad both want Ben to manage the south side club. Ben explains he starts school in January. Impatient Sonny cannot give a specific timeline yet and says so. Broody Ben is bothered about the scheduling not to mention the distance from his new almost love nest … At the park, Clyde confers with his crooked mountain man flunky. Clyde wants them profits laundered. He cannot risk messing up cos he has something good going on here! Buba is bemused by the boss’ dapper duds and drawls he must have himself a fine woooooooman! Clyde does not deny it, a telling twinkle in his wicked eye. At the mansion, Chad keeps smiling and promises full credit to Kate. She flat out refuses to accept this bold bid of his to be co-CEO of DiMera! He gets himself a drink and drawls it is business, not personal. He feels he earned it. Kate acknowledges his assistance these past months but points out this is not his time! Her 6 months is almost over and she needs to nail the acquisition. Then they can talk. Chad reminds her that acquisition was HIS idea and threatens to expose her to Stefano! Kate suddenly coos she does respect him and offers him a division instead, then when she has full power he gets a promotion. So stop the blackmail! The poster boy for the new era of DiMera will not back down and reasons Kate got where she did via blackmailing Sami. Kate acts like she was helping Sami. Chad drawls this is DiMera Enterprises and argues she needs to be alongside a DiMera to win over the board – or else! Kate’s cat eyes narrow. She suspects in a few months, he would get rid of her. Chad smoothly states he lacks the experience to run the empire on his own. It would take him a good 6 years to get sufficient experience. All he wants is to learn from her! Kate cackles he actually wants her to train him to replace her? It is inconceivable! He coolly threatens to call father. She leers he would only be destroying himself! Stefano would be UNFORGIVING of the betrayal of a son. Chad argues he did do as asked and gave her all that bad advice father wanted. It made her waste a great deal of money! Kate stops him from making the call. Chad cockily tells her how to reach the key board members, to get the ball rolling … Adrienne runs into suited Lucas outside the club and asks about L.A. and Will. Lucas sighs he did not see much of his son down there! He had long studio days. Sami and the kids are fine. She wonders how he is helping Sami with those long studio days. Lucas is not interested in her passing judgment on his son and steps away. Inside the club, Ben turns down the managerial position and suggests T. Sonny disagrees. Ben suspects this is all Chad’s doing! Sonny states there is no conspiracy. He wanted Ben to manage the south side club! Lucas walks in with Adrienne. Sonny excitedly asks about the gang. He sighs he has been swamped the past few days and could not touch base with Will. Will too! Adrienne makes a comment and Lucas grimaces. Sonny wonders what is the matter. Lucas would rather show Sonny the latest photos of baby Arianna. He admires his daughter in her sunhat. He hopes to fly out soon to see the family. Next week or the week after. Adrienne sanctimoniously states Will might not have time to spend with him in LA he is so busy. Lucas retorts he would make the time for Sonny and gets going. Sonny wonders what is the matter with his mother ... Abigail teases Paul that she has been reading online and he has quite a reputation! Enter the Anne, trying to make a splash. She points out he was not to be disturbed with paperwork and apologizes. He is admittedly tired so Abigail ushers her out. Madame Milbauer leers at her for what she did for Chad DiMera to get her job back! Abigail ushers her elsewhere for a private discussion … At the nurse’s station, Jordan notices Clyde entering the hospital as Marlena assures her whatever she wants to say, she would keep it in complete confidence. Jordan knows. Marlena gets back to work. Jordan is jumpy as Clyde approaches. He innocently explains he only wanted to give her back her important hospital ID and excuses himself. In another room, Anne accuses Abigail of sleeping around. Abigail sarcastically tells her angry adversary she does sleep around to get what she wants and is even sleeping with the big boss! Chad is on her side as well cos she specializes in DiMera men. Anne calls her a sick poodle. Abigail hisses she does fight back so beware! Back at his place, Dan tries to turn down Nicole’s massage. She persists so he removes his shirt and lies on the sofa. Nicole stumbles, only to spill hot coffee on his sore naked back. Dan is in even more pain and asks her to please go as he staggers back to his bedroom. Nicole stands alone with the now empty coffee cups. She wipes the almost stain from his leather sofa and he returns in his t-shirt She thinks the time has come to apologize. He agrees. Then there is silence. Then she gets miffed. Dan places his hands on his sore lower back and groans. Nicole is sorry, she only wanted to be his friend. He suggests she try less hard. Nicole now shares how she hated losing him as a friend. She was hoping to fix things. They agree they should both be sorry for the lousy way their day turned out, then laugh in unison. Friends again! At the door, she tenderly tells him she missed him and they share a friends hug. Then their eyes lock for a long moment in time … Righteous Adrienne sits with Sonny and states Will has loooong days and is not spending much time with Sami and the kids. Suppooooooosedly he went there for them! Sonny suggests she not judge Will for working hard out of town when papa Justin does the same. He assumes all is well with his parents. Adrienne admits not exactly, hence her worry for him and Will! Abigail gets an eyeful when buff Ben opens his door clad in nothing but a towel. She gasps she should go. Ben drops the towel and starts to kiss her passionately. Abigail is unable to resist ... Kate gets off a call with a key board member, confirming Chad is a good fit as her co-CEO. Chad claps. Kate warns him not to tell anyone until her acquisition goes through and that includes Sonny, who happens to be a Kiriakis. She also warns him to brace himself for the wrath of Stefano. The phoenix does not tolerate betrayal. But Chad the cad does not give a damn ... Paul frantically flirts with a brunette nurse and sighs after she leaves. He seems to be hiding how he really feels. He tries to rest in the hospital bed with his partially bandaged chest and arm in a sling … Outside, Jordan is happy to see Chad and thanks him for the sweet gift. She agrees to take a walk with the charmer and they step into the elevator together. Back at DiMera mansion, Kate is in no mood to talk. She tells caller Clyde she is preoccupied. Clyde gets she likes to solve problems on her own but hopes she will be in touch. Kate sends some papers flying and takes a deep breath …. At the club, Sonny patiently points out he and hubby Will are going to be just fine just like his folks. Love conquers all. However, he would appreciate Adrienne stepping a bit back. She smiles she will do her best and emotionally tells her son she loves him. Sonny smiles back. Ben and Abi bask in the afterglow and he calls this everything he wants. They get back to kissing in his big bed … Busy Marlena answers another call at the town square. Nearby Clyde sips his coffee and considers. Perhaps the time has come to talk to the good doctor … Chad walks Jordan home. She thanks him for the homemade walkie talkie present and sweetly kisses the true blue DiMera. He asks her out for tomorrow and she accepts. He grins he will call. She grins good night. Until tomorrow … Back at the mansion, Lucas has pictures to show Kate of the kids. He laughs Sami is taking over at that studio! Kate suddenly exclaims she misses working with her! She was easier to collaborate with than … A frown creases Lucas’ brow. Than who? Kate confirms it is complicated. She has lost some of her corporate control … At the door, the moment is interrupted when Dan gets a call from Chloe to call Parker to say goodnight. Nicole starts to go. Dan says bye and closes his door. Nicole pauses and mutters she had not seen this coming! The chemistry is back! Dan pauses inside his apartment, thinking the same thing … THE END Ahead on DAYS: Theresa answers the call of the Paul! Clyde has a meetin with Marlena. Hope is shocked by what she finds. |
