There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Tinkling music sweetly plays in a hotel room. Hope hesitates. Aiden asks should he stop? He is sorry if this was a tad too soon. Hope sits on the bed in silence. But she DOES want to be here! Aiden assumes there is more. Hope admits she is afraid. Afraid that she forgot how to love. She was not with her husband for a long time as he has been away for over two years. Aiden offers to get room service and hang out as friends instead. Hope tenderly touches his face and tells him she is here cos of how she feels. Aiden now makes a confession. He too is afraid! After his wife’s tragic demise, he went into shut down mode, concentrating on his career, his son. But then she came into his life like a ray of light … Perhaps this is premature. He stands up and Hope suddenly draws him into a kiss. They continue kissing on the bed together. Their ethereal love scene is like a dream under billowy white sheets. Hope has her jewelry on. They kiss and smile and come together as a singer in the background mooooooooans ... Secret patient Paul is speaking Japanese to his agitated agent in his room. Dr. Dan enters in scrubs and shakes his hand, eager to get to the routine surgery. The agent is intense and fails to laugh when Paul jokes about being able to play the violin again. The agent wants his fastballer in fine form for spring training. Dan steps out, after stating someone from the PT department will be seeing him as well. Paul hopes it is that gorgeous girl he met ... Maxine sticks a thermometer in his mouth. Outside the room. Abigail and Jordan talk. Abigail must admit that Chad was responsible for her reinstatement. Jordan wonders how it happened. Abi excuses herself to talk to Dan, who has emerged. Dan is delighted to have her at the hospital again. Abi is in charge of Jen’s office while she is away. She also wants to say how sorry she is about their breakup. Dan lets her know he is still there for her and JJ. Matter of fact, he gave JJ some advice the other night … At the club, love struck Ben is daydreaming and boss Chad notices that telling smile. It is not from the coffee! Ben had believed Chad was staying away but Chad, who is checking numbers, mutters Sonny is busy. They are opening that new club on the south side. Chad wants Ben transferred there. Ben cannot believe it. He just got a great apartment close to THIS club. Chad the cad is expressionless. Ben agrees he would not mind a few shifts but Chad will not change his mind. He wants him to consider the pros and cons for his career. Belligerent Ben knows his game. He wants him to have less time near Abigail! That is what this is really about! Chad plays it cool ... At the square, Paige’s college pal bears now. Today’s class was cancelled! Paige is excited about texting boyfriend JJ that she is free. The girl giggles they are pretty tight these days. They head for the pub, where Paige admits there was a recent problem but now things are good. She and JJ share everything, keeping no secrets! The friend is impressed and calls him cute. Paige thinks he is so much more than easy on the eyes. He is a profound old soul, like her. The pal asks if her mom has let up lately. Paige pouts. All hell breaks loose at Horton house. Eve rages at JJ that after what he did, how can he consider a future with Paige?! She has seen him NAKED! JJ feebly suggests they avoid one another. Eve exclaims their love story is doomed cos this scandalous secret will never die. JJ sticks out his chin. Eve warns him if Paige ever learns the truth, she will turn her back on both of them. Therefore, it is urgent he keep his distance from her daughter … JJ finds it grossly unfair only he has to suffer. Eve insists as the mother she is more important to her daughter than the boyfriend. JJ shouts she does not get to decide that! Eve exclaims he cheated on her! JJ suddenly decides he has had enough, he is going to confess to Paige what they did … Abi admits to Jordan that Chad has become a hospital board member, a man of great influence. That was how she came to be reinstated. Jordan wonders how much Ben knows. Well, he did have issues, though he came around. Abi is still beaming about Ben’s new abode. Jordan gets glum he could afford it cos of Clyde, then changes the subject to the secret patient. Time to attend to that so they both walk in his room … Abi has a form for Paul to sign. He compliments her smile. The girls go. The angry agent returns and speaks Japanese with his sports star. Abigail and Jordan return to discussing Ben. Abi admits he confides in her. Jordan does not want him to get hurt. Abi adds he does not want her to get hurt either … by Chad! Dr. Dan is in the OR with patient Paul. The anesthetic is administered. Nurse Maxine stands by. Dr. Dan asks the nurse to hand him the scalpel. By the end of the operation, Dr. Dan has saved Paul from a painful bone spur that went unnoticed and gets ready to close him up. Eve refuses to let JJ destroy her daughter. Her daddy left and she has men and trust issues. How would she react to the news that the two people closest to her had betrayed her! JJ glumly agrees he will NOT talk. She screams to face the fact that they are finished. JJ snaps she did this on purpose just to break them up! Eve is exasperated. This would never have happened if not for the untimely blow she was dealt. There was no planning here, it just happened, no matter how much they hate it. JJ sits down and covers his face with his hands, unhappily conceding defeat. Eve continues convincing him anyway, in case he changes his mind … At the pub, Eric casually pours himself coffee and overhears Paige explaining her mom’s singing woes, why she was in bad shape last night. Eric is intrigued and recognizes the girl from her framed photograph. When the friend departs, the friendly former father introduces himself. He saw her picture at her mom’s place. Paige asks when he was there. Eric sips his coffee. Yesterday. Paige’s face falls. Eric explains he was her photographer and was with her a few hours before she got the news. He smiles her mother loves her more than anything in the world. Paige smiles as well. He sits and suggests her darling daughter take her proofs home, help her decide whether she wants those pics. Paige suddenly suggests he take them and grins they get along well. The girl thinks that is a good thing. Her mom could use more friends in Salem of the same age … Chad drawls this is business, it is not personal. Ben bitterly quips sure, like him getting Abigail her job back. Chad dramatically declares that was different and it WAS personal … JJ sulks about the words he has to say to Paige. What are those words exactly? He now reads her text about the cancelled class and sighs how can he possibly tell her they are through? Eve replies he is resourceful and walks out. JJ looks at Jack’s picture and then answers Paige’s text, inviting her over to the house... Jordan defends Chad and suggests he has changed. After all, he did get Abigail reinstated … Chad explains to Ben that he owed Abigail and also wanted to make up for what Sami did. Besides, he is attracted to Jordan now, who seems to return the attraction. He tells Ben to get over it and arrogantly steps away, thus ending the conversation, but not the game. Chad DiMera's game is just getting started ... Hope snuggles under the sheets with shirtless Aiden, who pours the champagne. They toast to their afternoon delight and kiss in bliss … Eric is at Eve’s place with the proofs. She recalls her excitement that day and gets philosophical about things not working out the way one hopes. Eric can relate. She sighs and adds then there is the fallout … JJ is torn. How can he end it with his dream girl? Ding dong! He puts down the picture of smiling Jack and opens the door to Paige … Chad loudly places a call for a surprise delivery to Jordan at work. Baristo Ben grimaces … Patient Paul is awake in his room and groggily thanks Dr. Dan. Jordan will be treating him in a few days and tells him so. Dan goes out and pours himself a coffee. The sports star’s agent asks how the surgery went. It went well but it was a tad more complicated than expected. The agent is anxious his recovery will not be fast enough and word might spread the longer he is in hospital. Dan is critical of his interest in his commission and warns his only interest is in his patient’s full recovery. He steps away … Bathrobe Hope is happy they did not wait and heads into the shower. Bathrobe Aiden takes a deep breath as he takes another look at the online article about him being a suspect in his wife’s untimely death. Then he stares into space … Eve sees Eric to the door and he praises Paige, whom he just met. She was concerned about what had happened to her mother. Eve explains they do take care of each other, mother and daughter … Paige senses something is amiss. JJ cannot lie, there is something. She gazes at him with her innocent eyes and wonders what.
