There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the new abode, Abigail has something to say that weighs heavy on her mind. But first she explains she is back at work today for a few hours then full time tomorrow. Ben is elated and wants to celebrate his and her success. He harbors no grudge against Chad and wants his girl happy. Abi admits she may have been insensitive when she praised Chad. Ben refers to himself as a fool who sometimes fears he could lose the girl of his dreams. Abi gushes he’s the one that she wants and they kiss in bliss… At his man pad, Dan is holding his infamous jacket, getting off a surgery scheduling call. He now looks for his keys only to come across a money clip with cash in a pocket. Could this belong to JJ? It must so he decides to call the student. Knock knock! The busy doc puts away a picture of Jen he was holding and opens his door to mama Maggie. The redhead perceives he is a lost soul. They sit and talk about Parker’s toys. She loves to spoil the lad, then notes her son seems to have lost his focus. He gasps it is Jen. They are really over. Maggie cries to try again. Dan numbly states he is sorry, it is final. So is the redhead and she gives him a hug. Dan is pragmatic about being lucky enough to have loved the fair Jen, plus he still has his great career and Maggie and Parker. She smiles he is gonna be okay. Tender piano music plays as he agrees. Maggie now notices the money clip and he explains it belongs to JJ. He needs to give the guy his money … At Horton house, JJ is on a call from Eve. She intends to come over for a much needed talk! JJ drawls he is here and alone. So be it! Back at her apartment, Eve opens her door to Eric. Meanwhile JJ gets an unexpected visitor - Paige - who wants to spend time with him instead of at the hospital, where she was supposed to watch Dr. Dan in surgical action. JJ wonders about her change of heart. Paige pouts and remembers seeing Dan’s jacket, the jacket that her mother’s one night stand had in the kitchen. She deduces Dan does not need her bothering him. JJ gets a text from Eve confirming she is coming by though she is presently delayed. Paige coyly asks about JJ’s plans. Jumpy JJ suggests coffee at the club. She would rather remain heeeeere and shows him a calendar she made with their couple pictures. JJ is touched, but tense. She looooves them being together and calls it perfect. They kiss and embrace and kiss again. JJ closes his eyes. Theresa is disgusted with Brady, and declares she does not need him so go to hell! Then she walks away in a snit. Brady goes after her and insists he did not mean it. Dr. Kayla emerges wearing her white lab coat. Theresa smugly asks about the status of her test. One hour until the results. Kayla advises the petulant pair to head to the pub for some food. She promises to bring the results over. Brady now begs for a reboot, feeling badly about his behavior. Theresa gazes up at him with a glimmer of hope ... Aiden sarcastically asks Hope if the article is interesting. Hope turns around with a start. She has been busted! Hope starts to explain. Aiden now drops a bombshell. Four years ago people in Portland believed he had killed his wife in cold blood! However, he did not murder Meredith, though she can keep reading if she wants. He presents her with some flowers he brought by. Hope is extremely embarrassed about snooping around. Aiden understands her curiosity as he recently overreacted to Bree and then Nicole. He wants to glumly go. Hope gasps wait cos she is not reading that. Aiden is relieved. Hope implores him to tell her his story from his own lips … Eric brings up the photos and then admits that was his excuse for coming, he was concerned. Eve seemed in a bad place last night. She appreciates it. He asks how he can help. She admits she wants to forget these last 24 hours. The former father suggests they talk. Eve would rather not, then gets glum about her dashed singing hopes. Eric breathes he is sorry. Eve asks him not to tell anyone her surgery for singing woes, especially not her sister at the moment. Done. He promises to email her the photos and departs with a smile. Eve smiles wickedly. The background banshee sings ahaaaaaaaaaaa. Brady and Theresa wait together at a pub table. Theresa offers to get a paternity test. Brady gently states there is no need. However, he wants her to realize that a marriage will not be in the cards. Theresa promises she will not get an abortion. He drawls he would fight her if she tried. Theresa is somewhat surprised he would be receptive to a child. Brady does not deny he has long wanted to be a father. She hopes he will not try to take her baby away. Brady sincerely states they will raise their baby together. And so it goes … Aiden tells Hope his tragic tale at the pretty park. There were problems but they kept the marriage going for their son. People heard them viciously fighting. They stuck it out for Chase. Hope is sympathetic. Aiden sighs they tried but it was tough. Meredith took to the bottle, and it affected her. She had a gun and made threats when drunk, to take their son and use the gun on Aiden or herself. Then one fateful night the gun was loaded! She was drinking heavily and Aiden was angry. Chase was fast asleep. They hurled insults. It got ugly. Meredith made for the bedroom and brought out her gun, threatening to shoot herself, raising the gun to her head. He cries as he recalls how he begged her not to end her life, but to live, for their son’s sake. Hope is in tears. Aiden cries she loved their son but hated him more cos she did it a second time. Aiden tried to grab the gun but he was too late. She had pulled the trigger! Chase woke up to the sirens and cried. Aiden was holding him to shield him from the sight and then his sister took him. The police had questions. It did not look good for him. He had tried to stop the bleeding and held his dying wife, removing the gun from her hand. His prints were on the weapon! She hissed she hated him as she lay dying in his arms. Hope places a sympathetic hand on his arm. His voice shaking with emotion, he admits she is the only one he has confided in about those last moments. Hope is deeply sorry for his painful memory and woefully wonders what Chase remembers. Not much and they have been moving around. Chase has probably been the brave one, protecting his father. Aiden breaks down and Hope cries too, holding him, consoling him. JJ is kissing Paige on his lap when his phone starts to buzz. He steps away. Just then the doorbell rings. Paige opens the door to mama Eve, whose mouth hangs open! JJ emerges and they cover by acting cordial. Eve pretends to be there to see Jen, then hands JJ a royalty check for Jen that was accidentally sent to her. Paige now asks her daughter why she did not go to the hospital to intern today. Paige thinks this meet-up is providence and sweetly suggests the three of them make an effort. She wants her mom and JJ to get to know each other better. How about they all go out and talk? No one is able to refuse ... Abigail and Ben celebrate by making passionate love at the new apartment in his new bed … Rapture … Then shirtless Ben makes a promise not to allow anyone or anything to ruin their togetherness. He kisses her and she stares at him with stars in her eyes ... At their club table, Paige points out the past should stay in the past. JJ and Eve immediately agree! Paige spills coffee on her blouse and asks her mom to accompany her to the washroom to fix it. Alone, JJ assures himself it is alright cos no one knows and he and Eve will never talk. Just then Dan appears in his brown leather jacket, with a grin and something for JJ ... At the pub, Brady and Theresa discuss how Dan and Chloe do things as co-parents so it is possible. Brady promises Theresa they would be a team. Kayla now arrives with the results. The moment of truth is here! Brady and Theresa stand up and she asks how far along … Kayla announces she is NOT pregnant. Theresa is stunned. Brady almost looks disappointed … Dan presents JJ with the money clip he left in his pocket. As he holds it up, Paige and Eve approach. Paige soap stares … Aiden assumes Hope is through with him but she insists she is staying! He kisses her and whispers thank you. He kisses her again and she returns his kiss. The tears are still moist on their faces as Aiden now makes a bold declaration of desire and LOVE. THE END AHEAD ON DAYS: Hope and Aiden are ready. Theresa doesn't get it! Paige poses questions about Dan ... |
