There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Theresa wakes up in her bed as deranged music plays in the background. What happened? She groggily sits up in her black underwear and remembers leaving the pub and turning around with a start at the park. Then nothing. HR boss lady Anne calls and Theresa gets impatient. She overslept and feels … strange. She reminds the boss she is pregnant and feeling out of sorts. Anne insists she will want to be hearing the latest. Theresa agrees to come right over. Naturally she arrives later rather than earlier. She assures Anne she is taking her pregnancy seriously and is anxious to share her baby news with Brady. Anne reminds her he views her as a boozer chick who is irresponsible. Theresa would rather hear her news than her lecture. Annie warns her that Kristen is her enemy. Theresa's, that is. And there is more … Henderson the butler has brought a visitor to Master Brady. Man in black John! Boy in blue Brady is ready. He coldly sits and explains he knows what his da did to protect him. John sits too and is sorry, but Kristen … Brady solemnly states he understands but he wants to know if he would go about it the same way. Without a doubt! Brady slowly states Kristen is out of his sphere for good. John thanks God. Brady coldly adds there is still Theresa and he lied about that girlfriend too! John sighs. Brady explains he has a problem. Protecting him by lying to him is not something he will tolerate. He lives for the truth only! He now slides him a file. John wonders what it is. A crisis in Europe for Basic Black. He wants John to go take care of it as it requires immediate attention. Dr. Dan confirmed he was well enough to travel. Brady reminds him he stepped in for Basic Black when John was unable to be there. John agrees to go for the brief biz trip. Brady is grateful and adds he will never let him interfere in his life again. John observes him with pain in his eyes … Outside the club, coffee Marlena takes an overseas call from Stefano, The suited one rages about her daughter keeping his precious grrrrrrandchildren from him. Marlena patiently explains the kids are in pain. The phoenix is furious! The blonde insists Sami is within her rights to keep them safe and proceeds to blast dastardly daughter Kristen for the chaos she brought to Brady’s life. They can both blow town until hell freezes over! Click! At the pub, Abi assumes Sami got her rehired but Ben believes it was Chad. Kayla confirms that is the case as new board member Chad argued to have her back. Ben bitterly states he tossed around his money and power. Kayla is pleased she is back no matter how and by whom. Abi appreciates the sentiment. Ben scoffs. He accuses Abi of not seeing Chad for what he is! Abigail appreciates Chad’s altruism but Ben does not see it that way. Kayla excuses herself, though she stresses she is happy Abi got back the job she loves so much. Ben apologizes and agrees to support her, still insisting Chad is up to his old tricks to get her back. Abigail disagrees. She suspects he felt badly after what happened is all. Ben drinks more caffeine and will not back down. He even suspects Chad has been following his sister around cos it drives him nuts. He considers Chad a cad who wants to keep him away from Abigail and destroy him … Chad wants to wait with Kate at the square as she awaits her very late mystery date. She wants him to scram. He grins must be Clyyyyyyyyde. Blue must be the new white … collar. Kate hisses educated guys can be jerks and Clyde is a smart man. Late too, says Chad. Kate points out he is Jordan’s stepfather and gets a glint in her eye. Chad counters the guy creeps her out. Kate questions how an intelligent male like Rafe could fall for such a hick chick. She then notes Chad is her latest coup but Chad decides it is time to take his leave, making one final snide remark about Kate being stood up … Jordan has just used the R word but Clyde wonders how she can believe that. Her hands are shaking as she hangs onto the gun along with her convictions. Clyde claims he was drunk and is sorry but they both know what happened. She screams to shut up or else. He walks toward her, wondering whether she reeeeeally wants to shoot him. YES! He dares her to just do it cos maybe a man like him has lived longer than he has a right to. Jordan whimpers and lets go as he takes back the gun. He stares into her crying red face, then puts the gun back in his drawer. Next time she plays with a gun, she had better know how to use it! They have both committed sins. Jordan refuses to let him break her and leaves. Clyde is unusually calm. He finds Kate at the park and explains he was held up at gunpoint, hence the reason for his tardiness! Kate thinks that is a pretty convincing excuse. Clyde coos he was looking forward to keeping company with a beautiful woman whose input he was also seeking on how to make use of his big money. He shows her the number on a piece of paper and Kate is mighty impressed. She likes the color of money! Meanwhile Jordan cries all by her lonesome at the town gate. Chad appears and asks what has happened. She gasps nothing but Chad knows better. She puts her head on his shoulder and he comforts her, no words necessary ... Madame Milbauer updates Theresa on Kristen going AWOL. She is not at the hotel, not at the mansion, and not at the Kiriakis house. Theresa jumps up, convinced this is the best time to tell Brady her big baby news! Anne is exasperated. Outside the club, Marlena meets up with John. The man in black dramatically declares to doc that he must leave for Europe today. She woefully wonders for how long. He sorrowfully states for as long as it takes. They sit and discuss over coffee outside the club, at a secluded table. John shares that his son needs his space for a little while. He admits he will miss Brady and leans forward, drawling he will miss HER the most. His blue eyes regard her with intensity and she blinks ... Miss Theresa heads to the house of Kiriakis, where Henderson sarcastically announces her. Brady emerges from the shadows and gives her a dark look. He agrees they can talk but this is the very last time! His voice is cold and calm. She brings up Kristen but Brady confirms she is gone for good. Theresa breathes a sigh of relief. She is about to share her happy news when Brady shuts her down. He intends to have his say before he closes the door on her forever too! Theresa pouts. This is not going as she had anticipated … Chad gently assures Jordan she deserves better than the one who upset her so and he is heeeere for her … On another bench, Clyde admits he had real estate in mind, a place to live in Salem. Kate is surprised. Clyde gushes he has lots of reasons to like Salem. Kate smiles. Brady explains he now knows how he was lied to but he has been a liar before so he will not cast stones. However, he seeks only the truth in life and the truth is that Theresa was his escape, the living moment of sex, booze, drugs. He is not the man he was. He advises her to do like Kristen and get out of town. He will no longer be a part of her train wreck life. They are through! She opens her mouth to speak, her eyes filled with tears, and he snaps to go, get the hell outta his sight! Abi tenderly takes Ben by the hand and asks if he wants her to refuse the job she loves. Ben says no and deduces this conflict was the doing of Chad! Abigail decides to go. Ben is unable to stop her … Chad charmingly teases he would love to kiss Jordan right now but he is not a take advantage kind of guy. Jordan impulsively makes the first move and they start to smooch … Kate coos she could have some ideas for Clyde. He suggests mixing business with pleasure and kisses her. Lonely lady Kate kisses him back. The hillbilly from hell tells her they are gonna rock this town ... Stefano listens to a tragic opera alone and glances at a framed photograph of Elvis, Samantha the children he adores. The opera comes to an end. He shakes his head and cries “oh God!” … Marlena muses she has waited long for John and so she would not mind waiting a little longer. He is relieved to have her blessing for the brief biz trip to Europa, then stands up and kisses her tenderly on the lips. He touches her face and departs. Marlena melts … Theresa cuts belligerent Brady off, insisting she has important life altering news. “I’m carrying your child!” Brady stops and soap stares. Now she has got his full attention …! THE END AHEAD ON DAYS: Brady questions the veracity of Theresa’s claim. Rafe wants to beat up Chad! |
