There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At their secluded booth, Kate has insisted that Lucas took her gun and must confess to her. He gasps fine and admits he did indeed snatch her gun. He bitterly assumes she also thinks he killed Nick and wishes she would give him the benefit of the doubt for once. What makes her think he shot Nick?! - Outside the pub, suited EJ anxiously takes a call from an even more anxious Abigail, who has made up her mind to end the lying! She must tell the truth! He snaps at the hysterical Horton that there is much at stake for both of them. He will text her the moment he is free so they can meet - before she does anything drastic. Pause. She will await his text. EJ now turns, only to find himself facing cowboy Rafe who smirks and suspiciously asks what is going on. Wot with wot wonders frazzled EJ. Rafe reminds him he asked him to come and thinks it is concerning Nick. EJ realizes he is right and hands him the documents concerning not Nick, but Gabi. - Abigail pouts at the town square. Jordan wonders what has her so upset. She regrets she may have gotten her new friend Ben Rogers in trouble! Jordan realizes she was with Ben the night Nick was murdered. Abigail feels just awful about admitting to the cops that Ben had a fight with Nick on the same day he died. - In her office, Detective Hope is interrogating Ben and wants him to admit he fought with Nick the very day he died. New Ben is muscular, tense, and takes in his surroundings. He notices the tiny recorder that will record his every word, then starts talking. He admits they argued but he did not follow him. Hope now wants to know the nature of that fight. Ben, who seems no stranger to law enforcement procedure, pauses. - At the apartment,Dan will only say the story with Nicole is complicated. Jen sits and states she has plenty of time. Dan is torn and hopeful that the ordeal will soon be over. He believes Nicole will handle the matter ... For now, that is all he can say. - Eric smiles in surprise at Nicole's unexpected announcement that they should ELOPE TODAY! She claims she wants no big wedding and they must marry in haste. He now asks why. Because there is someone who wants to prevent them from staying together, that's why! - As EJ stirs his coffee in the pub, Rafe looks up from the document he has been reading and asks if EJ really drew these up. EJ replies he did so at the request of sister Gabi and shows him the addendum, which assures Rafe will remain a part of Arianna's little life no matter what. Rafe would like someone else to take a look, just to be on the safe side. EJ has no objection. Rafe soap stares suspiciously and suggests he be straight with him. Why so nice? Just what does he get out of this? - Lucas informs Kate he simply did not want his daughter Ali being in danger, near her gun. Kate calls the timing too much of a coincidence and thinks he is a lousy liar. - Eric does not understand. Who on this earth would want to come between them? Nicole claims it is not one but there are many who are against them! Eric disagrees. She names Sami and his mother for starters. They will never be won over despite his best efforts. And she fears Sami will play dirty to get him to change his mind. Nicole angrily refuses to let any mortal keep them apart! She does not want to lose him and looooves him. He feels the same way. She implies if he loves her, he will elope as requested. She gasps she has a bad feeling and touches his face, doing her darnedest to convince him with every maneuver in her book of tricks... - Forgotten guests Abe and Maxine arrive at Dan's apartment with apple pie. Jen is utterly embarrassed she and Dan got distracted and forgot about their lunch plans. Abe suggests they all reschedule but Jen insists she can pull this together and shows Maxine into the kitchen. - His gold tie glowing, EJ explains he and Rafe do share a common view of rights to children. Rafe quips it is the only thing they agree on. - Abigail tells Jordan the tale of Ben's almost altercation with Nick the day he died, which is why the police would like to talk to him. Jordan suddenly excuses herself. - Ben calmly informs Hope he did not approve of the manner in which Nick was treating Abigail. However, he does not know her that well and he did not know Nick at all. Hope asks if Nick was threatening her. Ben believed it appeared so. Hope gets a call, then reminds him not to leave town. He replies he is staying, he likes it here, and saunters out. Hope checks her email and curses in dismay. - Indignant Lucas stands up to leave Kate. She assures him she believes in him and apologizes. He sits down again. She now asks him to go out of town on business, to take some meetings on the beautiful Croatian coast. Lucas must now admit that he had to hand over his passport to Hope. Kate realizes he is a suspect and probably did take her gun to kill Nick after all. He admits YES. Kate is close to collapsing. Lucas enlightens her. He was at the end of his rope due to Nick's antics against his loved ones. However, by the time he arrived at the park, Nick was already dead! Naturally he was not crazy enough to confess even that much to Hope. Kate asks for her gun back. He mutters he threw it in the river. Kate suddenly gets it. He is leaving clues for the police as he is setting himself up to take the fall! He denies it, suggests she is crazy, and takes off. - Jen decides to go get their planned lunch salmon at the market. Abe offers to come with. Dan and Maxine will stay and set up. Once alone with coworker Dan, Maxine admits she was using them and feels badly. She jumped at the opportunity of the group get-together when Jen mentioned it. She and Abe have been discussing becoming more than friends and decided not to make things complicated. Dan thinks just for now. She thinks forever. Dan grins he wants only what she wants cos she deserves to be happy. She calls him the best bff and hugs him. Dan gets a faraway look in his eye, remembering the delicate drama swirling around another friend. - Eric wonders whether Nicole might be right. She jumps on his lap, elated, and talks Vegas. The former father thinks that could be fun. She kisses him and tells him to pack his overnight beg. They can wed tonight! He replies no, they cannot. Dan and Jen should have more notice than that. After all, their closest friends have to come and share their fun! Nicole’s face falls. She explains it would be too much pressure, given they have busy lives. Eric praises their pals as their strongest advocates. They cannot exclude them! Nicole argues this news of their planned elopement could slip out. Eric teases then they can pinky promise. Nicole explodes. No, only them! Eric suddenly gets it and gives her a long hard stare. She is hiding something from him! She asks what he does not understand about her wishing to elope. He does not understand the fact that she is not being honest with him. Nicole plays along and agrees. She offers to tell him the inconvenient truth he certainly deserves to know. - Cool guy Ben pauses at the town gate and updates jumpy Jordan on his interview with detective Hope. Of course he made no mention of them being brother and sister so their secret is safe. HE will not find them ... Abigail arrives and he ends the call. She asks how it went. He assures the whispery girl it was no big deal. She gasps another apology but he thinks there is no need to be sorry. She told the truth to the police, which was the right thing to do. It always is ... - Jen is with Abe at the town square, on their quest for luncheon salmon. She confides Dan is keeping something from her. She will not stand by! - Dan and Maxine are setting the table. Maxine presses him to spill what ails him. He sighs he has failed someone and it torments him to the core. It is not Jen or the kids. Then who? A friend but one who might never forgive him! - Jordan sits at the trendy club with Rafe, quietly complaining he did not forewarn her that her brother would be questioned. Rafe explains he cannot reveal police investigation details. She sighs she understands. He is relieved and adds he will not be able to lie to Hope about anything. - Abigail remembers raging to EJ that Nick's hit had DiMera written all over it. Clean cut cool Ben senses something is troubling her. Abigail intends to do the right thing, says so, and woefully walks away. - Lucas makes light of being summoned to the station again. Hope is tense when she tells him to take a seat. She demands he admit what happened the night Nick was killed. He wonders whether she is trying to trip him up about his last statement. Negative. But she urges him to say in his own words, one last time, what happened ... - Busy lawyer EJ has just texted Abigail from the town square, to meet him at the house. Diva Kate approaches. He drawls he has no time but she wants to know about the custody agreement. EJ assures her she will approve. She knows EJ does not particularly care for her and coos she knows someone else who does. She purrs to tell his father the expensive necklace is lovely but it will get him nowhere. EJ points out she is wearing it close to her heart regardless and takes his leave. - Dan will only say his decision is the only right decision. His "friend" feels otherwise. Maxine wonders. Dan recalls his first wife Rebecca, who made him promise not to tell the family she was terminal. He gave her an ultimatum to tell them or else he would. Maxine asks how it went. She did tell the family and was grateful so she forgave him. But this friend might never forgive him! - Nicole stammers she has had issues. Someone has been acting strange and it is for a reason and that someone is DANIEL! - Rafe does not think it would be the end of the world if people learned Ben and Jordan were siblings. Jordan just hopes everything will work out alright. He loves her and vows to protect her. Jordan kisses him. In Rafe she trusts. She just asks him to let her know first if he must tell Hope that she and Ben are brother and sister. He drawls he will, and makes her promise she will not try and flee again. She emotionally replies she could never leave him, kisses him, and goes. Galahad Rafe grins. - Abigail walks into the deserted mansion and announces to EJ she has made her final decision. EJ shuts the living room doors and gets close, seductively close. She stares, mesmerized as he acts like he wants to kiss her ... - Before Maxine and Abe leave Dan's place of lunch and chatter, she quietly advises him too tell Jen about his friend. Dan gets busy clearing the dishes. Jen the hostess sees their almost forgotten guests to the door and then sweetly demands Dan start talking! - Eric notes Dan left him a message and promptly plays it for Nicole. Dan’s voice urges him to call after speaking with Nicole. Eric would like answers. What does Daniel think she is going to tell him? Nicole will only say he does not want them to get married! - Lucas explains how he saw Ali screaming at the sight of bloodied Nick as he staggered into the square. He and Kate ushered her out of there. That is all. Hope accuses him of lying about the texts and more! - EJ suddenly grabs Abigail, wrestles her purse from her and pours the contents onto the table. The girl gets spooked and loudly protests. He sarcastically apologizes for having to check she not wearing a wire. She is not and so he tosses back the purse after taking apart her phone. She exclaims she knows what he did! He sits down and deviously drawls she is quite right. He did pay a man to kill her cousin! Abigail soap stares. - Dan gasps he is still waiting for a call. He can speak with Jen after. Jen agrees with a smile and decides to return to work. Once alone, Dan the ultimatum man checks his phone. Nothing from Eric or Nicole. What the heck is going on ...? - Eric gasps why does Daniel not want them to get married? Nicole now tells the biggest lie of all. DANIEL IS IN LOVE WITH ME! Eric's sanctimonious sensibilities are stunned into silence ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Lucas is in BIG trouble. Nicole's lies know no bounds! Abigail is sworn to secrecy. |
