There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Maggie and Jen are at the house of Kiriakis for a chat. Maggie notes Julie is accompanying Nick’s remains back east. Jen thinks they should have something small to remember him at gran’s. The redhead questions whether anyone would even come. - Stylish Kate is on her phone at the square, complaining to Lucas about the latest line. He promises to take care of it and text her when free. Kate ends the call. She knows Lucas was the one who stole her gun and will deal with it soon, but first … - At DiMera mansion, EJ is busy reading a document as Sami, woman in red, tells him Ali is anxious to return to school. He drawls they can get back to their normal routine but Sami insists nothing is normal. He must discover who killed Nick! He snaps it only matters he is finally gone and they have no blood on their hands. Sami gasps but he paid that guy to … EJ argues Nick made many enemies and would have dragged her into court, devil that he was. Sami whispers she fears a loved one could have done the deed and that loved one could be facing prison! - Lucas has summoned Will to the pub to discuss the murder of Nick Fallon. He stares suspiciously at his son and tells him to start talking. Will updates him on Gabi dropping the custody demands, the new agreement being drawn up. However, she is still in shock given what happened to Nick. Suited Lucas stares darkly and asks his son how he feels about the demise of Nick Fallon! - Sonny sweetly hands Gabi half of his sandwich at the apartment and she is touched. But she throws it down in a snit when he mentions EJ coming over with the changed custody agreement. - At the club, Dan has just given Nicole her ultimatum. If she does not tell Eric the truth, then he shall! Eric enters and spies the pair. He puts his phone away, kisses her, and takes a seat, wanting to know why the long faces. Nicole tells the tale of Brady being back to boozing and Theresa. Eric notes Dan’s strange silence and suspects there is something more. Dan starts to admit there is indeed something else. Nicole gasps it was the shooting on the island and she feels badly still. Eric tries to make her feel better. Dan refuses to rehash and wants to talk only of the present. So does Eric and he asks Dan to do the honor of standing up as his best man! Dan is at a loss for words. Nicole gushes she wanted Dan to be her best man, cos he is her bff who always supports her. Dan stares. Eric suggests a best couple and Nicole agrees with a kiss. Eric praises Dan and Jen for helping them get to this point. Dan is numb and goes to get a refill. Eric wonders what is troubling him. - Maggie holds Jen’s hand and sighs she would want to remember the sweet boy Nick once was, though most never met that Nick. She had predicted a brilliant future for him. She gets choked up and Jen steps away to fetch her water. Enter the Greek. Maggie stands and he warmly embraces his better, graceful half, no words necessary. Jen comes back and he thanks her for taking care of his Maggie. He is elated that Jen and Dan are back together too. The conversation soon turns to Nicole and Victor takes a potshot. The redhead smiles she is just happy about Dan and Jen. Exit happy Jen. Victor now pours himself a drink and offers to find Nick's killer. Maggie admits the police are not presently sharing any information. He hopes Hope will at least check this time in case of any of his associates were recently released. Maggie now shares her view that Nick was likely killed by someone they all know ... - Gabi gets to folding clothes and starts to babble about being treated like she is going crazy. The sensitive people are annoying her. Enter the Kate and she exclaims she is here to get some things straight. Sonny muses at least Gabi will appreciate that approach. Kate reminds the girl the police will pose questions. Does she even know what she will say? Not yet. Kate wants her to get her story straight about all things Nick. There is far too much at stake! - Sami fears that Will might have acted out of desperation. EJ puts his strong arms around her and tries to calm her fears but Sami knows Will well. EJ argues Will was not in shock and doubts he was the one who pulled the trigger. Sami whispers the police might dig around and discover that way back Will did shoot EJ. EJ insists that secret is safe forever. He promises to keep an eye on the investigation and grins she should stay out of it. Then with a kiss, he goes to his meeting. Sami looks at her nervous self in the mirror. - Will explains to Lucas that he never forgot how Nick got hooked on pills, then Jensen and his cruelty sent him over the edge in lockup. He emotionally credits Lucas with saving him. If he had been imprisoned for shooting EJ years ago, he might also have been destroyed. He owes him! Pause. Lucas gets back to the topic of Nick and growls not to forget how evil that s.o.b. was. Will blinks. Does he mean that Nick deserved to die?! Lucas regains his composure and will only say he is not surprised someone finally got fed up with Nick’s antics. Will excuses himself to head home, where EJ is bringing the new Ari custody agreement. Lucas assures his son he is here for him. Will says the same. They embrace and Lucas tells him he is proud of him . - Dan’s phone rings at the bar and he appears distracted. Back at their table, Eric insists Dan is acting very out of character. Nicole notes he did not want to talk about the shooting is all. She asks how Marlena took the news. Eric tries to be upbeat, though there was no congratulations. Now onto Sami! Nicole sighs and offers to come with. Dr. Dan returns and explains he must go. He asks Nicole to drive him back to his place so they can talk. Nicole would rather see Sami with Eric. Dan solemnly states then they can have their conversation right here right now in Eric's presence! Nicole swiftly agrees it is best they go. And so they do. Eric frowns. Something is amiss ... - Sonny thinks Kate is being overly concerned. Kate complains how Gabi blurts things out under pressure. Gabi gets miffed and insists no one can push her around anymore now that Nick is gone. She goes to check on the crying baby. Sonny advises Kate not to go after her. He will smooth this over when he has a chat with her later. Kate thanks him and adds she still needs to keep her mouth shut. Exit Kate. Sonny is exasperated that nothing is easy, even with Nick the notorious gone! - Eric visits Sami at the mansion, asking after Ali. Things are better but she sees he has something on his holy mind. He hopes she will be happy about ... him and Nicole getting married as soon as possible. Sami’s mood soon matches her red dress and she accuses him of losing his mind! She screams what about loyalty to his twin! She calls Nicole names and warns him she is a liar. Eric retorts she has accepted EJ as having changed, She has changed too and he looooves her. He warns Sami there is nothing she can do to break them up either. She sticks out her chin in defiance, stubborn Sami style. - EJ runs into Will at the town square and offers to get down to the custody agreement business. Will wants to do it the right way, not behind Gabi’s back and insists they go straight to the apartment. They enter moments after Sonny tries to bring up the topic of Kate. Gabi is still on edge. Will puts his arm around Sonny and Gabi agrees with lawyer EJ’s suggestion that they do everything togetha. - Kate meets Lucas at the club. They sit in a secluded booth and she wonders whether his phone is bugged. He wonders why she would think such a thing. She quips the cops might think he killed Nick. She sure does! He did the world a big favor. Lucas demands she explain. He is at the top of her suspects list, she purrs. - Back at Dan’s apartment, he tries to make Nicole see the folly of her ways. She moans Eric looooves her. Dan exclaims his vocation was his life and she stole his chance to get it back by hiding the Chyka proof that would have exonerated him. Their relationship is therefore not based on the truth! Nicole cries to let it be so her dreams can finally come true. Dan is exasperated about her lies. Whatever happened to her wanting Eric to make his own choice? He also angrily recalls she did not even tell him and Jen the truth and then things went crazy with Liam. He is both her friend and Eric's and feels he has the right to know. In fact, Eric is going to know even if she refuses to be the one to tell him! Nicole now claims she will tell him the truth. Dan leaves Eric a voice message to call him after he speaks with Nicole. Nicole gets mad, then acts sad and cries she needs time to pull herself together. Then she leaves crying. Down but certainly not out ... - Maggie informs Victor of Nick putting pressure on Gabi to have an unfair custody agreement. Victor cackles Kate must have seen red. The redhead adds as well as Will and Sonny and Sami. Julie calls back and she takes the call. Victor stands alone and toasts to Nick Fallon rotting in hell! - The custody agreement is clear and fair. However, Gabi exclaims she has a problem with custody going to Will in case anything happens to her and custody going to her in case anything happens to Will. Sonny and Will get worried, not sure what to make of her reaction ... - Eric praises Nicole to Sami for her heroics against Liam and Chyka. He suggests she did way more for him than EJ, who did not lift a finger. And he can be happy by himself if his family and friends do not approve of their union. Sami warns him he is sounding like Brady and look how that turned out! Eric suggests they worry about their own respective weddings and storms out. Sami sticks out her chin again. She soon walks to work, muttering about the mess, then gets a call. She will stop by and pick IT up ... - Gabi only wants a clause added that Rafe would be able to see his niece if something happened. She also wants it made clear that Sonny should have rights and will step in as Arianna’s daddy number 2 if something should befall both her and Will. EJ will need time to draw that up. Sonny emotionally thanks Gabi. So does Will. Family hug! - Kate tells Lucas the denier to stop pretending. She knows he stole her gun and she also knows why! - Dan is with Jen at the apartment and she wonders why Nicole just raced away in her car. She wants to know what this trouble between them is. - Nicole joins Eric in her room. She suspects it went badly with Sami. He confirms it. Nicole now has an announcement to make that cannot wait. WE NEED TO ELOPE! Eric is not sure what to make of it but Nicole smiles like the cat that swallowed the canary. Well, almost ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Jordan and Ben feel the net closing in. Kate is confronted by EJ. He senses she has an agenda with Stefano! |
